Im not sure but I think the front windo looks dark because the other 5 windows are tinted. so the only ligt going through is through the windshield. normaly its lit from light from the remaining 5 as well as the windshield light. thats what i think. They arent going to tint your windshield for free. my guy said it be an extra $120
Did 20% ceramic yesterday, biggest mistake I made in awhile. It makes sense but the whole reason I did it was for privacy. Looks much better on your car.
I would do 30% if that is an option for you because realistically what I have on my car is 17.5%. Thats what a police officer told me but he didn't give me a ticket.
I have 35% all around, windshield 60%, and believe me on this one, when it's rainy and night time, you can't see a thing. I'm thinking on getting rid of the 35% front windows, because I need visibility. That's my case. When I roll with the two front windows down, it's beautiful how I see.
+pmoulton77 Thank you. I actually traded this one in for the touring coupe. I wanted to the coupe style. They are called splitters. You can get them on eBay for about $150. The have these lights for coupe as well but I will wait and add them later if the come out with a higher quality version.

Just did my Grand Caravan 20% all around even over the factory and 20% strip bar on front windshield looks nice but not happy much light still comes through especially from front to rear its like I didn't do anything my next car I'm doing 5% all around 20% strip

Well if your tints are too dark and covering the break light, you’re somewhat a finger on the road as it will be harder to see that 3rd brake light. Same concept with tinting your rear/front light.
I no longer have this car as I traded this 4 door for the civic coupe but yes, I did get a “warning” if that counts. That was in VA though and they’re strict on tints. Other states, so much..
It depends if you have good vision in the night. I tend to have trouble sometimes seeing in the night without tints so it really just depends. I wouldnt recommend 15% unless you live in Florida or something.

Nc Hemi you have to go to your dealership to get them to pass your inspection. That’s what I’ve been told. But as far as your tints, since your limit is %35 then the cops shouldn’t bother you unless they’re bored lol. Mine limit is %50 in the front -_-

Im thinking about getting 15 % all on sides and rear with 3rd brake light cut out, my windshield is 40% tint Ive drove passed dozen cops and had no problem with them, I guess cause my sides and rear are fish bowl lol

I dont know if it is the way the back window is shaped on these new civics, especially the coupe but it is kinda hard to see. Not only because its dark but also because there are like these extra streaks of lights which im guessing is from my type of tint used. Im not sure but that my take on night time driving with these tints.
