man I can barely hear you at all. Is your cameraman rubbing 40 grit sandpaper over the microphone while in a tornado? I'm just busting on you put seriously wtf is he doing?
Yea, sorry about that this was one of our first video shot on a go pro. We will do our best to shoot any future videos with either a better camera or a microphone
Basically this videos about eliminating the stock overdrive shift so you manually set it with this wire or what is this video about cuz I'm having that trouble I think I know what you're doing but I'm not sure
You are basically deleting the stock tps...right? Bypassing it. What I did was put in a tcc lock up switch on the dash to override unlocking. Toggle switch in cab and stays locked up but you have to remember to flip the switch to unlock before you come to a stop. Kits for this are available around $20.
so all this kit does it takes the tps volts/signal from the dial instead of the TPS itself and it reads the volts and you can turn the knob to adjust were you want to OD to kick in correct?
my 24v isn't shifting into fifth gear would this fix it? change the tps sensor, and still not shifting into fifth. it's a 2000 truck but put a 99 trans. in it. and now running into other problems. trying to start cheap before I have to just throw an allison in it
Check your 10A transmission fuse under the hood. If it's dirty clean it file or sand paper. It has to be shiny with no rust or corrosion. Did mine this weekend👍🏽
Would this kit work in the 24 valve I have 98.5 1st thru 3 shift fine but no overdrive I've tried looking it up online and I can find is everyone say it's electrical so I'm not sure what is going on with when driving down the after 55 it's turning about 2500 to 3000 rpm
It's not your over drive it's your torque converter locking n unlocking. It's an electrical signal issue. Try cleaning your 10A tranny fuse unde the hood. Sounds goofy I know. You also want to reroute your negative black w white stripe wire around and away from the alternator. It's sending out current that confuses the pcm. You may also look into buying a brand new, not remanufactured, alternator. Something about the rebuild process that allows stray signals to get out. I know all this sounds like snake oil but trust me...I've been battling this for years! Make sure ALL your grounds are clean n tight: batteries, body wherever. There is a ground connector behind the secondary battery. My next thing is to remove that connector n butt solder the two ends. You drop current ever so slightly there...which leads to the pcm tripping. Good luck. I have a 99 that I bought in 2005.
When you install this do you have to manually lockup the torque converter every time?
I moved the crossover ground wire behind my alternator and fixed my truck. No cost.

If you wire it through the brake pedal switch, when you press the brake it will unlock.
Where can I get one? Who makes them
I know this is an old video but will this work on a v10?
Glad I found this. My 99 2500 24v won’t go into OD at all! You think this is a certain solution?
How did you go mate? I'm having the same problem. Did this fix yours. Thank you
@@steveshortt90 if you got it figured out let me know how! I have no overdrive and can’t figure it out
@@steveshortt90 Did you fix it
I got the same problem need help
I don't understand how this works, how does it read any voltage if it goes to nothing but the mount under the steering wheel?
It's basically a manual tps. Power comes from that cable he wired into....
so all this kit does it takes the tps volts/signal from the dial instead of the TPS itself and it reads the volts and you can turn the knob to adjust were you want to OD to kick in correct?
Yes I believe that is how it works.
Bobby im study like heck love your old truck
