Hey, I have been following The Behaviour Panel for ages and only tripped over Mark and Chase tonight. I highly recommend TBP.
I wish I had these skills when I was working as a womens health and drug and alcohol counsellor including sexual health and pregnancy choices. We did have some training mostly NLP and feminist organisation. But this was thirty years ago and we were trying to mop up during the HIV pandemic obviously there was a huge hole torn in the curtain of society. People were coming out as LBGT+ and they were persecuted up to and including a little girl who had caught HIV through a blood transfusion. Nothing made sense. We were not prepared forthe Level of hatred and blame Sorry I ran away on a tangent. ☮️💟🇳🇿🇦🇺

I love listening to my little students work out who has the highly sought "authority" in our learning groups. Recently I overheard two preschoolers have the following conversation: Child 1:"When I grow up, I am gonna be a fireman!" Child 2:(not willing to be outranked)"Well...when I grow up, I am gonna be TWO FIRE MANS".

Love you guys. As a retired teacher, I used some of what you talk about because of workshops and just naturally. You may be surprised how much it influenced the parents in conferences as well as students in the classroom. At times parents arrived hostile. It aided in them leaving on my side.

I know I'm a year late, but I had to say this: just the way those who study body language now refer to Navarro et al., for the "axioms" of body language, in the future we will also refer to Chase Hughes and his Behavioral Table of Elements in the same way. You both, along with Scott Rouse and Greg Hartley are _giving_ away something more valuable than gold, so thank you! I wish you success and above all, fulfillment. Happy New Year!

Interesting Chase, that u mention inheriting sounds. A son of a friend grew up without his biological Dad who i knew well. I was often intrigued to see numerous mannerisms that were so like his Father!!
He eventually connected with his Dad in his late 30s; they now have a wonderfully caring, supportive relationship that includes wider family 😊
    Love your work guys.

I find both of your insights and different perspectives intensely interesting!! Mark, to be perfectly honest, I have no clue what the G7 is and had never heard of it before watching The Behavior Panel!! But, after listening to this, I get it, and I appreciate your perception on instinctual human behavior much more than I did before listening to you and Chsse talk! Chase, I love the way you simplify things and make it easier to relate to or understand!! I really love both of your analogies and your comparatives! Thank you both so much for sharing this!

I listened for awhile. The bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. I believe that and others do as well. Therefore we are born ready to blink..stretch be starteled and cry and so on because all this was there because God made us this way. That is because we are fearfully and wonderfully made. So Each men are gifted in their observations as we are gifted in ours and on we go with our gifts and sharing and learning from others. I believe fearfully and wonderfully made covers it all ....so I did not waist any more time with their subject. I do watch their program as I believe they are gifted and helpful in their response and observation and are respectful to each other in their work and make for an observation of interest and at times a bit light hearted. So thank you gentlemen for myself and I hope some day you believe God and that He has blessed you.

I love listening to Mark & Chase in this chat for the 3rd time. U2R entertaining and fascinating. I’ve got dyslexia & A.D.D. yet when I watch #TheBehaviorPanel my mind is able to stay focused and I’ve learned so much. Thx as always for all that U2 do! U C so much has happened these last 9 years and I’m exhausted reliving what I’ve witnessed, survived and given horrific testimony to different agency’s. As I’m still healing from past trauma while helping law enforcement put Monsters behind bars ( even though 2 vile criminals have been suicided while in custody 🤬)…….as best as I can I don’t loose hope; even though I know my mind needs rest plus a sane reboot from U Masters of the Mind! So, Thx 4 discussing the fact ”U do get what u pay for”…..so indeed I’m saving up 2 learn and work with U gentlemen privately and must say that finding “Behavior Panel” was a gift the Universe gave to me; knowing that I need to evolve & understand my Complex PTSD. Just typing each word in this comment section heals my soul which I’m forever grateful for U4 ‘Masters of the Mind”. I’m unable to discuss / disclose details publicly yet, but want U to know how grateful I am Gentlemen! Again thank you from the bottom of my heart!🙏♥️☮️

Driving with Dyslexia isn't too bad it's passing the test under pressure that is the hardest bit (and getting directions from others). Got through my test by having a green ribbon on my left wrist (because I associate green with left - probably from hand prints done at kindy) and telling myself that that was my left hand all morning before the test. Most mornings I'm okay with left and right as soon as I've needed to know one of them. GPS is quite useful as they don't always say left and right but "second exit" from a roundabout or to keep straight and the visual help as well as the arrow at the top telling you that the next turn goes that way! :)
Also really loved this session. I always learn so much. Just wrote to Greg re a video that I saw that you might not be able to publicise due to popularity of the subject but not knowing him I read it as him being a liar, then read all the comments of sympathy.... have I learnt nothing form you lot?

Great talk, I enjoyed it a lot!! I hope you make more of these!! A few comments, one example I give to people of genetic memory is an octopus because they only live 2 years and are alone from birth, yet they have some of the most complex behaviors. I was lucky to have a mother who was into this stuff and gave me a copy of: Influence: Science and Practice, by Robert Cialdini as a teenager. I think it(updated version) should be required reading for all teens along with another recent find which is the most comprehensive explanation of racisum, a book called Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do by Jennifer Eberhardt Ph.D. professor.
Also want to comment and thank Mark for saying he is Dyslexic, I didn't know that about him and have listened to your panel talks as well as a lot of your personal RUclips channel stuff. I am Dyslexic too and use to have the same problems, but I learned a few tricks, 1. I write with my right hand I know that it's right. 2. For directions, I ask for my say passenger or driver for directional talk while driving. One last thing is like to mention, I know you are not in the US Mark, but for any fellow dyslexics here in the US, we have the library of Congress that has a division for the blind and dyslexic readers where you can get audiobooks for free here's the link: www.loc.gov/nls/ After signing up you can download books online or get any book from them by request. Also look into a bunch of new apps for your device that read text, correct text(both spelling and grammar), as well as put text into the easiest font and size for a dyslexic to read.
Thank you again for your wonderful talk. I can't wait to get the book you recommended!

Talking about the "friend once removed".
As an aspiring fiction author I read books critically and for me I find I usually care more about third person narrative, than first person (even though first person is more immersive). And even more so if there's a scribe who is going to tell me about important events. The reason I think is subjectivity.
In a personal conversation, you can't trust what someone says about anything, because everything is their subjective experience. AND they may not be self-aware. AND they may be a little self-involved.
When you remove all those factors by talking about an outside person, you remove (most) subjectivity. So the way the hearer listens and interprets the information, changes.
    That's my 2c.

I am a huge fan of the Panel and now I learn you both have info to teach us about persuading ourselves via hypnosis. PLEASE DO A HYPNOSIS panel edisode:)
On another note, I am on a teacher salary and looking at my finances to join you in Vegas. Then the conversation swayed into knowledge and the cost authority. As you point out, Mark, to sit in a room with you to learn has value and that value has a monetary cost. To undercharge would lower the percieved value is my take away, (please let me know if I have misunderstood). You posed the question, "If it is not expensive, will it work?" (19:30). The premise being people can have a perception of what the cost would be.
Then it hit me: pulbic education needs you guys! Educators undervalue or give freely. It is our mindset to do so. Any chance we can get you guys to help us shift the public/ political persuasion to create better schools? :) Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge for free! I know you have a value that goes beyond monetary. That has gained my trust and credibility to use your words.

Hello Mark, could you talk more about the Asterix comics and the body language of the characters in those books? That would be fun.

I always thought there were 2 reasons for pepper spray in training:
    A) so they know what to expect from the blowblack and can push through knowing they won’t die, even though it feels like it,
    B) so they know how awful it is and don’t use it with reckless abandon against anyone and anything. If they didn’t have a solid memory of how excruciating that feeling is, who the hell knows how many people, pets etc would get blasted in the face

I'd like to know how chemistry worked when there was "nothing". There could never, logically, have been nothing, yet there are fairy tales about the inception of everything based on that sort of irrationality. I would love you guys to do an analysis of Dr. James Tour not only for body language, but for his scientific brilliance and the challenge he might lend to your premises around the evolutionary process.

I appreciate that you (the Behavior Panel) do not say the phrase "I (don't) believe in ...."
When I hear that, it is cue for me that truth and criticial thinking no longer apply.

It helps understand what opens the door to the subconscious mind so the therapist can select the best wording for a client.

Re the "Bystander effect", physician training (& likely that of other rescuers) generally included assigning specific tasks to individual bystanders (to call 911 +/- victim's emergency contact incl info if victim can't respond re stuff like Drug allergies, Rxs, recreational drugs in system, medical conditions like diabetes &/or cardiac, blood type, prostheses, Etc..; get stuff like shoelaces, towels, scissors, straw, plastic bags, water, soap, coat, sharpie, Etc.; "cordon off" a zone around the victim; look in wallet or purse for relevant data; make sure victim's valuables accompany the victim until passed along to a different appropriate person; look for & help direct incoming ambulance(s) &/or police to the site; help triage others nearby if there were more victims, assist with CPR; take care of victim's kids &/or pets where applicable; label objects; write down dictated notes; keep track of current time; Etc., Etc..
Why? Because calling out generically to a group of bystanders "I need ______" rarely works.

You know Mark, the things you said about people think if it's more expensive is better? I do that some of that but it's not because I think more expensive is better , it's from experience , I bought the cheap ones and they have been cheap and unreliable and the more expensive ones are in reality better and more reliable most time. So it's not just a concept in your mind but it's also a experience that you have had that makes you think that way which makes it more true than just a concept.

Damn! I would have formatted your table for free. You need an accountant with moderate excel skills. Don’t know who you tried to hire! Sorry! Just recently found you and the Behavior Panel. Anyway - great job. Love learning from all of you!

Question: If we live in a world where monetary earning was not necessary for humans to survive, how would you use your talents and knowledge?

  • @Brokersong

The comment about inheriting speech- language. When do you suppose humans last evolved in any significance? Some say we hadnt much and will not likely evolve. What do you think?
