Wow! Finally someone who doesnt play a MIDI-ROCK-LOOP from a 90s samples CD!... Oh it came in at 3:27 but thanks anyway for the intro! And great demo. Im actually more impressed by this then their compressor.

Yes level is matched for a fair comparison. It's a very good EQ that sounds great.

Have you got their green pre box? Had a look at these online today and shocked to see no stereo link switch. Makes me wonder if the gain staged are all stepped.

Is your Atmos mixing in the box? Would you use the VSE-2 in a mastering chain in your other room? Or is this an EQ best for hybrid mixing (and are you doing any hybrid mixing in your Atmos room)?

Atmos mixing is in the box. Having come from a Solid State Logic console to an Avid S4 I can confirm far better results are achieved working in atmos in the box compared to stereo mixing out the box.
I would use the VSE in my mastering room. That's the only area I feel you gain the benefit of this sort of gear. I'd prefer to use this as a plugin over multiple instances compared to just one. In the grand scheme of a mix you won't hear the difference. In the master however you will.
We mix ITB in atmos then master the binaural stereo fold down in analogue. The results are different class to standard stereo mixing and mastering.

considering the price do you think the Maag EQ would be a better investment?

Considering you could have 2 Maags for that price. I wouldn't say one replaces the other. They'd work together. The Maag EQ4m air band is great. Also the low sub. The Vertigo would be far better between those two bands compared to the Maags low to high bands.
