    The riders have to get together and discuss safety. If you get 10 of the top guys willing to pull out of a race over safety concerns, change will happen.

    • @BilkoMX124
      @BilkoMX124 8 месяцев назад

      If 10 do that, atleast 1 will go back on their word to score a lot of points on the other top 9 guys...look at the supercross where the lights went out, they all agreed to not ride and then you got guys who went against their word to climb up in points... i know McGrath wasn't too happy, especially being Jeff's first supercross win that night. So It won't happen, unfortunately.

      @@BilkoMX124 The riders can wait for a tragedy, like what happened to Dale Earnhardt before NASCAR made changes, or do what F1 drivers did, they demanded changes.

    Speaking of long racing, the 24 hour challenge at Perry Mountain is rarely ever talked about anywhere. It happens every year and it's a woods race but you can do anywhere from a 1 man team to a 6 man team for the 24 hour. I've raced it years ago with my dad in the duo class and it is brutal just being two people 😅

      I heard a Spanish reporter say that Herlings has NEVER completed a full season in the mxgp class (450)
      And that's incredible because he is a 450 champion

    • @jimrhea5484
      @jimrhea5484 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@Shady_115 He had the same problem at the end of his 250 championships. That was when the FIM broke their own rules and let him stay in the 250 class. He stepped up big time to the 450s, beat everybody and proceeded to crash. Now, quite a long time later, he's in 3rd. He's too far off to win the title probably but he was out so long I actually thought he was done. He's not. Amazing stuff.

    It was 100% noticeable that Jett was not 100%. He looked nothing like the Jett we say last year and it felt like he had to dig hard to get by Hunter. That has never really been a huge problem for him.

    Little help with those GP guys names Johnny.
    It's Pauls Jonas, not Paul.
    Also Henry Jacobi, he last name isn't Jacob, it's Jacobi. Think Jack-Kobe
    Also what's not mentioned in that article,
    Jonass had a dislocated shoulder but the ball joint had broke, the on sight doctor was trying to pop it in & fucked his shoulder up even more.

      Even with a fracture dislocation, it decreases risk of nerve damage to the brachial plexus to reduce the dislocation even though it may displace the fracture more. It’s easier to repair the fracture offset.

      @@gildo101rossi sounds like Jonas made a huge mess of his shoulder by crashing or whatever happened. I’d need to see the X-ray/CT/MRI to be certain but being a field side doc, I can tell you that protocol is to reduce it asap. Bones heal, but the nerve divisions and trunks at that level don’t always recover. I pray Jonas has a full recovery and if it was a fuck up then that doc isn’t trackside anymore

    Bravo to Herlings speaking up on the rider saftey. Organizers do treat the talent like they are replaceable. Similar to F1 in the 70s, the drivers had to organize to make changes. I feel like the riders should unionize in the US and Europe. These clown organizations lives of the blood and sweat of the riders.

    Back in the 80s I was planning for a race and I just started eating burritos I ate burritos for breakfast burritos for lunch I have burritos for dinner then when I got to the track on Saturday I was letting them loose safety concerns or boy I'll tell you everybody was passing out so don't do that guys unless you just really have to burritos burritos burritos no more burritos on the track

    So if J-Coop can build his endurance and get better conditioning. You add Hunter and then Jett. We are looking at RC, JS7, and CR22 2.0. Battling for wins and overalls. I expect that Hunter and Jett will trade wins and will continually battle it out for the overall. No offense to Sexton he’s a great rider, and can win. But like other good riders in the RC, JS, CR22, Dungey and villapota era. It’s most likely that he doesn’t win another title.

      Sexton understands that he needs to ride WAY over his head to win these. That's what he did in the 40-to-1st run, and he even admitted it. He needs to keep that up. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't. The more he does it, the smarter he will get, and the more it will become his comfort zone.

    Yea riding in unsafe conditions huh Johnny ? Like that racer 3mos ago that got struck by lightening down in TX and blown off his bike hospitalized. Im the guy who hit you up on IG about helping to spread his Go Fund me and story. Thankfully Cooksey did the kid/family a favor and made a mention after I contacted him. All of Herlings complaints are problems that would be solved by a riders union. We know how riders feel about a riders union though right? Bottom ranking riders love them, top tier riders hate them so it’s never gonna happen.
