For those who say nothing is happening, you have to already have a camera in the scene. Then click on the camera and press Control + alt + numpad0.

Is there a way to snap the camera to the numpad 1 view?
The camera is always off when I use numpad 1. And then try snapping the camera to that view using this method.

you can just hit Tab then type "Align active camera to view".
I too dislike the trend of tutorials doing everything with shortcuts without saying the name of the action the shortcut is cutting short for, especially when different keymaps exist
