First of all thank you for this fantastic video. Thank you again, i really appreciate it. As the creator of the Eras mods, i want to clarify a few things: 1-The Rome era chapters have been updated to their final versions since july. You can check out this on the steam workshop for attila total war. Chapter 6 to 18 have already been updated to their final version this month. 2-The Rome era still lacks two chapters: one for the second punic war and the other one for the third. These two chapters, along with updates for chapters 1 to 6( which have not yet been updated), are planned for the end of summer, august-september. 3-Depending on which chapter you play, make sure to load the required mods correctly.If done so, you will notice that cities change from ancient roman style like in rome 2 for chapter 1 to 6 to attila walled cities for chapter 6 to 18. 4- The Rome era (400bc-918ad) is just one of my three eras. As seen in the video, the napoleonic era chapters (1792-1815) are available for napoleon tw and the VICTORIAN era chapters(1833-1870) are also available for NTW. Cheers and thank you again!

@@RedHornet-oy5ow I have some questions about the Second Punic War chapter. What point does it take place at? Is it before Hamilcar’s invasion of Iberia. Is it around the Siege of Suguntum. Is it after Hannibal Crosses the alps. Is it after Cannae? Etc. And will Hannibal be a horde like Rome in the first chapter where you can conquer without having to worry about settlements, or is he just a general for Carthage?

Love those mods, they are incredible. You can dive into ”Rome 2” without buying all the DLCs for Rome. Just get Attila and Rome Era Chapters and Carthago delenda est ⚔

im currently in the xvii chapter, and it has been awesome. It would be great if there was an equivalent for the ERE/byzantine empire, a series taking you from the forming of constantinopole up to the fall in 1453

@@TheTerminatorGaming Forgive me for the Long detailed reply below, it’s just I have a lot to say, and there is no way I can sum this up in a Paragraph. I have tried my best to separate it into different paragraphs, each of which describe a different feature of the Game. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend playing one of them as soon as you can. I recently got into them and they are amazing. It’s a great change from Total War, both challenging and fun. The Map dwarves Shogun 2. The best way I can describe it is as a mix between Shogun 2, CK3, and (depending on what version of Nobunaga’s ambition) Manorlords (Some of the games such as awakening and the Ascension expansion for Sphere of Influence have city building features, though not at the same detail as Manorlords of course). It is not turn based, and functions similarly to CK3 or Bannerlord. Though there are different phases. Firstly, there is the council phase, in which the player can develop their clan and strategise. After they are done, they end the council and the next phase starts, in which it is similar to CK3 or Manorlords where everything happens in real time. So for example, armies march at the same time rather than in turns. You have to build up your clan through three main features, your economy, Supplies, and your forces. You have to carefully build up your towns to make sure your clan is thriving. Diplomacy can make or break your entire play through. Rather than simply requesting an alliance and paying a fair amount of money to make sure of it (like in Shogun 2), in Nobunaga’s ambition you have to gain the trust of a clan to strengthen relations with them, you have to appease them, over time they can become essential to your survival and success. You can form powerful coalitions against your enemies, having to appease each clan to make sure everyone is content and doesn’t leave the coalition. However, I must warn you that there is no “declaration of war” like in Shogun 2. The way you find out, is by keeping a close eye on hostile clans. You may notice them building up their forces near a certain castle, from which they may launch an attack into your territories. However, be careful how much you press even your allies, as a step too far could cause them to stick a knife to your back, and as I stated, this happens without warning. The most you get is a small notification in the chat that a castle or town is being attacked, or that an army has been attacked. So you could completely miss it which could cause major set backs or even a serious defeat in some cases. Battles, whilst not as detailed and diverse as Shogun 2 battles, are fun. They are real time battles. Units function more like Corps with Infantry, skirmishers and cavalry, rather than individual units, which is realistic as that’s how Samurai battlefields looked. Each general has special abilities which provide you with different bonuses on the battlefield. You shouldn’t doubt even the smallest of forces, as they could catch you by surprise and deal a devastating blow to your army. Your armies also can’t stay on the field forever, they rely on supplies. Supplies dwindle over time, which means that your armies are on the clock to complete their goals before you run out of supplies. Which is why supplies are an important factor, as they allow you to either get more men, or allow your armies to be on campaign for longer. The game allows you to decide between a historical or sandbox campaign. The historical campaigns are still fun and have awesome cutscenes, which show you different important historical events of the period. There are even historical battles in which the game does a good job of putting you in the same situation as the historical figures. Even the most die hard Japanese history fans may learn a thing or two from this game (I certainly did). As for which game, there is a long list. They each have their different types of gameplay. Sphere of Influence is a good way to learn the basics of the franchise, as it keeps things simple, and isn’t as daunting. Sphere of Influence: Ascension (which is a separate game from Sphere of influence) allows you to play as a retainer of a major Lord, in which you have to build up towns, and rise through the ranks until you become a general or even the Lord. Awakening is the most recent and is a good mix between the two. However, battles arent as flexible, and you instead can only travel on roads rather than being able to move basically anywhere. I’d personally recommend either Sphere of Influence, or the most recent game Awakening. Sphere of influence is my personal favourite. Anyways, sorry for the long reply, it’s just that I was shocked to see how underrated these games are. I barely see any reviews online about these games besides from Japanese Historical channels like The Shogunate. I hope you enjoy them and post a review, because more people NEED to see these games. You may forget about Shogun 3, these do the Sengoku Jidai justice.

I've been wanting to play these. Unfortunately, I can't stand the UI. I could probably figure out how to mod UI from another one on top, might do that at some point.
This is a great mod. Too bad Attila's optimisation is hot garbage. I have what they call a "NASA" computer, and I experience so many random crashes, frame drops, etc.... in Attila and I rarely ever experience that in other Total War games.
I’m not part of their team or anything but I play with it quite often. You just subscribe to the Rome Era Chapters collection on the Attila Steam workshop. There is one specific mod in the pack called “Rome Era Project: Hic Sunt Romani - Publication List + Installation Tutorial”. In it, it lists all the different eras which each have their own separate lists of mods you need to put, so you don’t leave all of the era mods on at once, just the mods required for that specific era. For example, Chapter I.1 which spans from the second foundation of Rome to the First Punic War requires the following List of mods: 1.) Rome Era Chapter I.1 Vae Victis!- From the second foundation of Rome to the First Punic War. 2.) Rome Era: Roman army from IV bc to II ac century -Milites Romani 3.) Rome Era: Mars Exulte! - Battle music 4.) Rome Era: Mars Exulte - Rome 2 UI and Epic Roman music mod + AE Cities for vanilla. Then you launch the game and play on the Last Roman Campaign. You will find that the Last Roman Campaign has been replaced with this mod. Remember that this is SPECIFICALLY FOR THE FIRST CHAPTER, The other eras have different mods and different load orders. I also wanna add that the mod isn’t just on the Last Roman campaign, and it varies depending on which Era you pick. Also, there are some additional mods that the creators have, that you could play with. Such as one that makes battles more realistic and makes them last longer. Goodluck, hope this helps. Aren't these the guys using assets without permissions? Pretty sure that's why is a pain in the ass to install these mods. Most of the textures are from Rome 2 : HD team.
Sorry Terminator but it's not good to support this mods. Red Hornet it's a modder that it's well know for stealing all the models and assets from other modders and using them without permission. When he is asked to remove what he took without permission he just acts like a child. Keep in mind that he constantly uses without permission the assets created by a lot of different modder teams, specially from the Rome 2 HD team. The creators (Celticus and Kagarino) had to reclaim to the Steam Workshop about this situation. That is the reason why he always upload empty files. This kind of "modders" and practices ruin the community.

@@Nick-hi9gx ive got to be honest i hate the whole you need permission. because ive seen skyrim modders hold essential mods hostage because someone they didnt like won an election. im currently sitting on a whole collection of models from a bannerlord mod i converted to rome 2 i cant upload because the mod author wont grant permission. theyd be a genuine benefit to the mod community... nope cant do it.

Unless they made the entire asset from scratch, which is pretty much 0% chance, they don't own a damn thing. Them refusing to let others use it is ego. The only one that bothers me is a former friend who didn't give even a mention in their special thanks section, that is all that is needed. Credit. Essentially, citation.

Dear people in these comments: You need permission for modding. You need to give credits. Any modder shouldn't use other's work without "asking" first. You can't just take everything because it's free without saying something to the owner. Modding is free but you have to atleast pay some respect. And if you are new to modding and didn't know the rules, and you accidentally take stuffs without asking. When real owner come to ask about the assets, be kind and cooperative. You will eventually forgiven and have the assets, don't be a child and attack the owner. And at the end, don't be like @Nick-hi9gx in this comment sector by spreading false information, you shouldn't take everything without notice the owner, because that will lead to your mod being taken down.
Dear people in these comments; you don't need permission for modding. YOu need to give credit. Any modder that doesn't let others use their work, if credit is given, is 100% ego and they deserve zero prestige or influence. Modding is for us, by us. If you aren't for us, and you are for your own ego (and Patreon), screw you. I say this as a modder who has parts in a bunch of different mods, on numerous games. I say this as an amateur game designer who's ideas have made it into several games. The only one that has ever upset me is a former friend not giving any credit, or even a thank you. Unless the assets are made 100% from scratch, which is almost none of them, they are not individually owned. Give reference, essentially citation. Give thanks. Give a link, or at the very least mention the name of the modder and mod. And then mod away.
To answer your question. R2HD author here. Yes, our assets are made 100% from scratch, took a few years. And the ERA mod series when first release do not give credits to every assets that it take not from just our mod but other mods as well, and also it asked for donation for other's work. That is why it's reported. We usually give assets for free for people that come to ask a few words, it's just a matter of good will. It's because something is free doesn't mean you can just rush toward and grab it and run away.

Just like in any other art. If I buy a painting, and then paint my own version and show it on twitter, I don't need the permission of the original artist, but I sure as hell need to give credit. Modding is the ONLY art form that is different, and only in certain games. In some games, open source mods are the norm. If I cover a Smashing Pumpkins song on guitar, I can totally upload it to YT, as long as I give credit, and make no money from it. I can do that with photography, pixel art, sculpting. So long as I give credit, and am not making money off the work of someone else. Yes, having made those assets for a mod, if someone uses them they need to give credit. The atila is not payable . Its bad optimised if some one know a mod or a technique it was very helpfull

The creators (Celticus and Kagarino) had to reclaim to the Steam Workshop about this situation. That is the reason why he always upload empty files. This kind of "modders" and practices ruin the community.
@@alejandrocartagenaalgarra1509 i recognize that i didnt behave properly at first, neverthelles after recognizing my wrong behaviour kagarino gave me permission to use their models, that the reason why they are actually all of them in the steam workshop. I made i mistake, we discussed as adults and we solved.

@@Nick-hi9gx ive got to be honest i hate the whole you need permission. because ive seen skyrim modders hold essential mods hostage because someone they didnt like won an election.
im currently sitting on a whole collection of models from a bannerlord mod i converted to rome 2 i cant upload because the mod author wont grant permission. theyd be a genuine benefit to the mod community... nope cant do it.
@@cal2127 Do it anyway. and give credit. Change things slightly. There is nothing they can do about it. Unless they made the entire asset from scratch, which is pretty much 0% chance, they don't own a damn thing. Them refusing to let others use it is ego.
I say this as a modder who has things re-used in numerous mods.
And as someone who has ideas and entire systems used in multiple games. The only one that bothers me is a former friend who didn't give even a mention in their special thanks section, that is all that is needed. Credit.

Or maybe just don't steal from people? I mean there's levels to this, but stealing of other people's work is a big problem in the modding community. Like damn imagine comparing not letting someone else use your work to holding someone hostage. You're not entitled to stealing and re-uploading stuff other people made.

Dear people in these comments: You need permission for modding. You need to give credits.
Any modder shouldn't use other's work without "asking" first. You can't just take everything because it's free without saying something to the owner. Modding is free but you have to atleast pay some respect. And if you are new to modding and didn't know the rules, and you accidentally take stuffs without asking. When real owner come to ask about the assets, be kind and cooperative. You will eventually forgiven and have the assets, don't be a child and attack the owner.
And at the end, don't be like @Nick-hi9gx in this comment sector by spreading false information, you shouldn't take everything without notice the owner, because that will lead to your mod being taken down.

Any modder that doesn't let others use their work, if credit is given, is 100% ego and they deserve zero prestige or influence. Modding is for us, by us. If you aren't for us, and you are for your own ego (and Patreon), screw you.
I say this as a modder who has parts in a bunch of different mods, on numerous games. I say this as an amateur game designer who's ideas have made it into several games. The only one that has ever upset me is a former friend not giving any credit, or even a thank you.
Unless the assets are made 100% from scratch, which is almost none of them, they are not individually owned. Give reference, essentially citation. Give thanks. Give a link, or at the very least mention the name of the modder and mod.

To answer your question. R2HD author here. Yes, our assets are made 100% from scratch, took a few years. And the ERA mod series when first release do not give credits to every assets that it take not from just our mod but other mods as well, and also it asked for donation for other's work. That is why it's reported. We usually give assets for free for people that come to ask a few words, it's just a matter of good will. It's because something is free doesn't mean you can just rush toward and grab it and run away.

None of your assets are made from scratch. They still require importing them onto the skeletons CA provicded. They literally cannot be made from scratch. The only asssets which can be are things that don't use CA's base. For anything. So says international law
He had a link to Patreon because he put all of it together into a new mod. He didn't force people to pay, he asked for donations for work.
YOU are the sort that is ruining the modding community. All mods are free. All assets are free. If you don't like that, you shouldn't be modding.

Just like in any other art. If I buy a painting, and then paint my own version and show it on twitter, I don't need the permission of the original artist, but I sure as hell need to give credit.
Modding is the ONLY art form that is different, and only in certain games. In some games, open source mods are the norm. If I cover a Smashing Pumpkins song on guitar, I can totally upload it to YT, as long as I give credit, and make no money from it. I can do that with photography, pixel art, sculpting. So long as I give credit, and am not making money off the work of someone else.
Yes, having made those assets for a mod, if someone uses them they need to give credit.
But your derision for people who "put them together" shows exactly what kind of person you are; you don't care about the community enjoying the game more, you care about them knowing YOU made it possible.
