@ChickenJoe-tq6xd I saw them on SNL over the weekend. Other than the drummer, the entire ensemble appeared to be whatever the instrumental equivalent of lip syncing is. The vocals were weak, lyrics were something scratched onto a notebook between lunch and 5th period math class, and they simply look like teenagers mimicking what they think rock stars do. It's being passed off as "indie" and introspective, but if this isn't corporate "rock" music, nothing is. They remind me of that overhyped, greasy little weenie Steve Lacey. They do not have basic, rudimentary skills of their instruments, they appear to simply exist for 30 second clips on Tic Tac. Lacey gets compared to Prince, a multi instrument song writing, guitar playing beast, and "genius" now consider themselves at the same level as Dave Groh, because they've been nominated for a Grammy in the same category. Overhyped, politically approved garbage that is to music what McDonald's is to nutrition. Them guys are annoying and their music sucks.
