The build your own lightsaber experience is rumoured to be a little over $100 but besides that I’d speculate everything else is $300 or higher
Even though most of this stuff costs like 20 bucks or less to manufacture

The Black Series from Disney already has his lightsaber as well as obi-wan and Darth maul. I think these are the same product just new branding for the park
@@justinsmith8127 Black Series aren't removable blades and they're not as accurate replicas- however they are a lot cheaper.
The black series also has the fat neck. That has the thin neck which is a first for any fx saber. I had to build a custom korbanth saber (gull wing LS6) to get the thin neck. That's great they are making these for the masses finally.
@@scubasteve31583 I think they are still a bit bigger in diameter than a 1:1 replica like a Korbanth, but I agree that it's pretty neat to see them finally doing a thin neck. It only took them like 15 years lol

This is truly amazing! I’ve always wanted to feel like a part of the Star Wars universe, and now Galaxy’s Edge is bringing me as close to it as possible. The cantina, Milenium Falcon, the Coke bottles (yes, I love them already), and now I get to build my own lightsaber, and even have my own Holocron. I know I could just get a bunch of this online, but where’s the fun in that? It’s more fun to actually physically pick my own parts, my crystal, and combine the parts to make my own lightsaber. There are also the plastic build-a-saber kits, but those were parts of already-existing characters. Now this is going to be MY saber and mine alone. It will feel like a true part of me. My inner child is coming alive again just thinking about it!
Yeah, but as Han Solo said, "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side." I want a build-your-own-blaster alongside the lightsabers! Blasters are no less iconic.
Brandon Rog That’s actually a really cool idea. A build-your-own blaster and/or legacy blasters like what they’re doing with the lightsabers. Someone, make it happen.

I can see yellow and white crystals on the table at 3:32. I can't see why they wouldnt also work in the sabres.

@@jagothegamer5750 No that was an interactive hilt, like Mace Windus and other legacy ones, that emit the color already programmed in the hilt. We're wondering if you can put a yellow crystal into a custom hilt.

As far as Star Wars merch has gone so far , this is amazing . It's no more some cheap toys , but actually pretty awesome collectibles that will look good on any shelf , no matter how young or old you are . They actually look like proper Art pieces and Antiquities .

They have really gone above and beyond with these props just to keep you immersed. I’m so exited to visit if I’m given the chance to again. Those Holocrons are incredible looking, and to build your *OWN* lightsabers!! Kids are going to love it. The Crystals and the colours and hidden lore!! Amazing, I’m speechless. Disney has outdone themselves, don’t even get me started on the actual Galaxy’s Edge area!!

jonathan sodemann well I mean look at it. All the tech is in that thing that holds the crystal, and the parts cover that thing.
They aren’t actually as big as they look, the power and control hilt is quite chunky but the rest seem relatively normal

The build your own lightsaber is amazing, for the generic blade to know what hilt its in and then change to that corresponding color is amazing.
The blade doesn't know shit. It's the hilt that sends a signal to what color to use. The blades are just RGB pixels. Look up Lightsaber Neopixel. We have that stuff in custom sabers since 2017.

Galaxy's Edge sounds like it is going to be a great place if you really like to buy exclusive, expensive Star Wars merchandise in numerous themed gift shops. Which I would not like. Looking forward to the rides though.
My lightsaber would look like:
-Sleek so I can twirl it no problem, something like Obi-Wan's lightsaber
-Green blade, due to the colour's meaning, "knowledgeable with the Force"
-Maybe Double Blade, because I'm pretty good with those

They won't really have shirts that say "Galaxy's Edge" on them. Even all the merchandise will be in-universe. You might get something that says "Black Spire Outpost," but not "Galaxy's Edge."
They really knocked this one out of the park, so to speak. My secret birthday wish is for a trip to Galaxy’s Edge so I can get robes, a saber, and a holocron. I’m sure it would be expensive as hell, but I’d die a happy Jedi.
We are planning a 2 week trip to WDW in 2021 for the 50th Anniversary, but I already told my husband we are bringing a serious amount of extra cash just for Galaxy’s Edge.

I literally busted a 🥜 when they said we get to go in and build our own light saber imagine walking into an ancient sith/Jedi vault and seeing all the markings on the wall glow and stuff levitate around u while u hand craft ur own saber and then use a holocron to explain the crystals history WOW this is amazing I already planned to go with no expectations but now this far exceeds anything I coulda imagined I can’t wait

I already said this on another of your videos, but I am beyond excited for Galaxy's Edge. The idea of wandering around a bustling marketplace or the forested Resistance base sounds incredible! Especially since it sounds like the outfits you can but at the outfitters are wearable at the park, so It'll feel even more like I'm actually there.

They should put all the hilt pieces in front of you to increase the possibilities of custom lightsaber hilt creation.
Yellow is my favorite lightsaber color. Always chose it in the game Jedi Knight. Have yet to see it in a movie though.
Pretty cool but way to big for my taste but the idea behind this and the magic is spot on. Kids and families are going to love this.
