- This is a complete video of Snoopy getting a spring upgrade kit from Eibach #E30-51-018-01-22 on their website. Special thanks Mark at Eibach for making this happen. This specific kit is designed for all model 4x4 renegades only. There is a separate kit for 4x2’s which has a different part number. On a side note, for the first time ever, we have installed my stock Trailhawk springs from the factory onto The Hot heels Jeep (@thehotwheelsjeep on Instagram) which is a 4x2 and it made a significant difference in his Jeep. We both got an alignment immediately following this mod. Please check out my other videos and leave comments below and I will answer them 😊 I’m also @snoopyjeep on Instagram. Thank you for watching, and I have much more coming to you right here on my channel. Subscribe to stay up with me 😎
Absolutely awesome Preston. Thank you.
Thanks Nick!!
Thanks for posting...just got mine delivered- can't wait to get them installed! Dig that the shop is in New Braunfels...I have family in Seguin :)
You’re very welcome!!! Glad you enjoyed my video 🤙🏼
Thx a lot man. I use the vehicle for commuting mostly. Although in the future I’ll put off road tires and rims. Thanks a lot for information. Can’t wait to get my installed.
Hey anytime bro!!!
Amazing video Preston!!!snoopy looks more awesome😍
Love the video, and I am happy to know there's a good shop reasonably close to me
Thank you!! Yes Tony is the man. He can fix anything right the first time 🤙🏼
Ty for the video happy new year
Your welcome 😊 2018 here we come!!!!
Love your videos
Thanks!!! It’s fun AND educational 😆
Well done 🥇
Thanks man
As far as I can find in the stockparts-numberinglist, the only thing which differs on suspension between the Trailhawks and the other versions are the linkbars.
That said, there will be few other small parts and spacers by the driveline , brakelines etc which will differ hence the lenght/height.
But it should be a pretty easy thing to find that out and convert a sport fe. easily to a trailhawk-stance.
Dampers though are all the same on all versions.
Sportchassis :
Front : F11-51-018-01-FA
Rear: F11-51-018-01-RA
Raised chassis (trailhawk):
Front: F31-51-018-01-FA
Rear: F31-51-018-01-RA
wow can't hear him over the forking music !
Have you had any issues with alignment after installing lift kits? I've done some research and some alignment shops did not want business with renegade with lift kits..
Can we install this lifting kit in jeep compass (2018) 4×4.
Where did you have that rear hitch installed?
Love it bud! New to Jeep and this passion for it lol! 2017 renny with 18 stock rims 225.55.18 stock tire size.. looking for rims and AT tires also with just the springs could I get a size or two up under it?
Thank you! I would say one size yes. Two sizes would require spacers & pinch seam cutting
So to clarify you have the daystar 1.5 AND the spring lift?? Any problems with driveline angles or CV joint angles? I have a 2016 2wd sport I bought for my brother and want to mod it some, but I’m used to stuff with solid axles lol
Yes to 1.5” Daystar lift and Eibach spring kit. No problems at all even after a heavy day of wheeling off road. At full flex the bottom of the strut does tough the front drive axels, but that’s it. Snoopy is my daily driver, besides my other vehicle, and love it. Thanks for subscribing 🤙🏼
What is the tire size you are using on Renegade?
you could had least sprayed the dirt off before you got there!!!!!!!
J Miller Man I had zero time lol. I did sweep up Tony’s garage tho when we were done ✅
The TH springs are . 8 and the eibach are 1.2 did you really gain an inch after the springs settled? are the springs stiffer? If so what are the benefits for offroad use? Thanks
xXFreaknRicanXx Yes I really gained, and kept, an inch up front & a skoosh more than an inch in the rear. I just measured it again after a weekend of off roading, and 500 miles on road. They are still stout, and have not dropped. Benefits off road are more ground clearance, which is what every Jeep owner wants. The ride is stiffer, and less body roll when turning and braking, which is awesome!! I HIGHLY recommend the Eibach spring kit for any model 4x4 Jeep Renegade. Eibach is currently working on a kit for the 4x2 models as we speak so keep a look out for those if this is what you drive. “Live what you drive”
Just subbed. Located in San Antonio and just picked up a 2018 TH. 1.5" and sliders are on the way. I see it's been a while since you did the lift and was wondering how it was going? Any drivetrain issues? Any dealer warranty problems?
Wayyy of topic but... What does the one red grill insert mean, anything, or is it just a style thang? I see you also made the second 'e' in Jeep red as well
Just style man! When I bought this back in September ‘15 I wanted to start customizing it the way I liked it. I went with the red accents to compliment the red tow hooks from the factory, and it came out good!! My Jeep was the first BU model Renegade to do this. Seems to be a thing all over the world which is cool. 🤙🏼
One last question.
When your driving on the road is it wobbly and does it dive when you brake hard. The reason I’m asking all these questions is because I’m new when it comes to lifting a vehicle. I’ve always drive a sports cars all my life. Now that I am family man. I’m done with all lowered cars.
After I installed the spring kit, the difference is immediate. Braking and cornering are more precise and stiffer but not slammed stiff. No wobble. Definitely need an alignment immediately following any suspension change
Great looking Snoop Jeep :-) I know you said the ride was better off road and firmer less roll , but what is it like on road and slightly rough roads does it make the ride more choppy , bouncy , more tramlining etc or similar to before ? also do you think you would still need to trim the struts if just using the Springs without lift ? Cheers Carl
The ride is smooth on any kind of road paved or not 🤙🏼 no trim needed on the strut w just springs
Does look really good. Did you have any other lift in addition to the springs? Also did this affect your sway bar endlinks?
Can you tell the difference on road and off road? I just ordered mine for my crossteck. Also did you install an alignment kit?
Absolutely!! I noticed the difference immediately. You definitely need to get a four wheel alignment at the same time that you get the spring kit installed because it will be way off and hard to drive until you do.
yeah think you could afford to get the thing clean at the car wash first lol
Looks awesome! What lift did you have on there before you added the springs?
Thank you Dave! I have most of Daystar’s gear on Snoopy: lift, rock sliders, winch mount, brush guards, Bull bar for my Warn lights. I will be making a comprehensive video about everything I have done to my Jeep front to back with explaining every mod and why I did each one soon so stay tuned
Looks awesome 👍🏻
Will these same springs fit on my 2017 latitude 4x4 with the American Trail Products 2” lift?
Quentin Guidrey yes this kit fits ALL 4x4 model Renegades. It works well with the Daystar lift, and should work with the ATP lift
SnoopyJeep great thanks and again snoopy looks awesome
Do Eibach make a kit to go the other way? I like the Jeep Renegade but I never need to drive off road so I'd only buy one when I see a kit that lowers them nicely.
Thanks for the question! Eibach doesn’t make a lowering kit for the Renegade as far as I know. I would direct you to contact them for any further information on this. If you aren’t apart of Jeep Renegade Life on Facebook & Instagram join our family. Their is at least one Renegade that has been lowered and looks sick!!!
they do now have a lowering kit, the Eibach
PRO-KIT Performance Springs ;-)
-1.4 in (Front) 1.0 in (Rear)
partnumber: E10-51-018-03-22
Sounds crazy but do you think these springs can be put on a 2015 Jeep compass? I’d buy them just to see but I don’t want to be stuck with them if they won’t fit, do they accept returns?
I highly doubt it my friend. Go to Eibach’s website for exact fit
@@Snooobaru I have before and they don’t have one for my make, only for the newer 2017 Jeep compass. It’s weird because other websites will say their lifts will fit a 2015 Jeep renegade/2017 Jeep compass but never will say a 2015 Jeep compass.
@@NoizyBearBearOfficial I do know that their kits work an all 4x4’s in the Renegade model regardless of year. That’s what I was told by Eibach. They will not fit 4x2’s
Plz snoopy can you tell me which lift kit U use and the Model number of eibach lift springs .
Eibach E30-51-018-01-22 kit
Daystar 1.5” lift
🤙🏼
I just installed the Eibach Pro Lift Kit E30-51-018-03-22 on a Renegade Trailhawk European Diesel version, and guess what, it actually lowered the front with 25mm and the back with 10mm so the gain was negative. Useless spent money.
That’s interesting. The main purpose for the spring kit is for a beefier/stiffer ride, and also for better cornering & handling overall. The gain/loss in height is minimal imo
Did y'all have to use a spring compressor to get the front struts back into place?
No but you need it to put the springs on the strut
Interesting, I had to compress the strut to get them back in and bolted to the hub.
Do i need to put lift on befor i put the springs on 2018 sport ren
Timmy Rolsen It doesn’t matter. You can do either one first. Best thing is to do them both at the same time 🤙🏼
What tire size are you running now with your 2 1/2 lift?
Steven Charles BFG KO2’s 225 65 r17
Was your alignment okay after doing this?
Kevin Harbach I got it aligned immediately following the spring install because it does change the camber and tracking. After being aligned it’s just awesome!! The spring kit is one of the BEST mods any Renegade could get especially for a Trailhawk 👍🏼
How is your set up still doing after 3 months? How many miles have you put on it since the addition to the springs? Love your videos! They’re a huge help in my decisions on what I am moving forward with in my TrailHawk
Campbell Michael Thanks man!! The Eibach springs are still riding like I just put them on. Haven’t lost any height. Not sure on mileage but I’m guessing 5K miles on them with some off roading thrown in. I trimmed the bottom of my front struts (just the inside only) so it wouldn’t touch the drive shaft at full flex. Having both the 1.5” lift AND the Eibach spring kit is the only way to roll a Renegade 4x4. Period. That and having BFG KO2’s for shoes, and you are good to go. I rock the sliders for insurance and they get abused. My Warn Zeon 10 allows me to take chances off road knowing I can get myself out of trouble or more importantly someone else in need.
Thanks! I’m waiting on the Eibach springs to come in and installing both springs and lift this week. Then new tires next month. Can’t wait to put it to the test
@@CampbellSoupmmmmgood how's it after 4 years
Got a question for you, what do you think of the Bilstein 5100 struts? Will there be an additional 1 inch lift from it?
Not a fan of there 5100 struts. I would steer clear of them imo. Seen too many failures in the JRL group (Jeep Renegade Life) That’s just me. The most reliable combination that I have found is the Daystar 1.5 inch lift kit plus the Eibach spring kit gives you a total of 2 1/2 inches which is about as high as you want to go before you start creating drivetrain issues that will haunt you 💀 . That’s what I had on Snoopy. Never ever had an issue and I wheeled the crap out of my jeep 💪🏼
Greatly appreciated advice! I really needed it. Off road mods are really new to me, read a lot about it lately. Feels like the more I read about it the more confused I’m on what to pick for the right mods on the TH without the possibility of messing it up. My last questions for you is: 1. Madness auto works here in California suggested me to pick a lift kit without changing the springs to eibach springs, since the TH stock springs are pretty much the same, is that true? 2. What things do I have to watch out for after the installation is complete with the eibach springs & daystar lift kit? 3. The size of tire I should use “without spacers of course” that will not rub the fender even with full tight turns.
The Trailhawk springs are not the same as Eibach’s springs. See my Instagram @snoopyjeep for a post on this back when I installed them. Look for a picture of me holding the springs on the ground DECEMBER 23, 2017 of the size and coil wind, and you can clearly see the difference for yourself. I DEFINITELY recommend the Daystar lift, & the Eibach spring kit (which fit all 4x4 model Renegades) . After installation get an IMMEDIATE 4 wheel alignment. Make sure you tell the technician that the Trailhawks have TWO adjustments per rear wheel. This will allow them to accurately align your Jeep. Secondly I had to trim off just a portion of the lower part of each front strut where it’s closest to the drivetrain. That way when you flex your strut will not hit the drivetrain going to each wheel. Tires: I ran 225 65 r17 BFG KO2’s which is one size bigger than stock. KO2’s are imho the BEST tire for the Renegade Trailhawk IF you plan on going off road sometimes. They run smooth as glass on the highway with a small amount of road noise. Hope this helps. Check out my Instagram for more goodness especially back when I wheeled my Trailhawk
SnoopyJeep Really appreciate your help, i already got my Eibach springs, now as for the daystar kit should I buy straight from daystar or get a better deal on eBay or something? I know daystar updated their rear control arm brackets sometimes ago since they had a wielding issue before.
leon tao I would go to Daystar’s website www.daystarweb.com and order direct from them. Yes they updated their rear control arm bracket. Much more stout. I know. I beat the crap out of mine lol
Which is the kit for the 4x2s? Or what lift springs can i use for a 2wd?
what8222 The Daystar lift kit works on all models.
@@Snooobaru sorry, i was referring to the eibach springs. In the description you mentioned they were a different order # for 4x2s
On eibachs website it says for my model renegade the front is 1.7”😂 how true is this lol it’s the pro lift kit for the sport 4wd
It’s actually around 1” is what I got from just the springs alone
I just ordered the 1.5 daystar lift getting it Friday, do you think I could run the daystar lift with the ATP lift springs?
I believe so yes
Snoopy has extra weight up front though, with bull bar, winch and whatnot. The lift depends on how much you have added to the front. The 1" he got is about the minimum you can expect.
1.7 for non trailhawks according to the website
Have a coil springs spacers too?
Manfred Reyes it’s a Daystar 1.5” lift kit for the Renegade in addition to adding the Eibach springs
Where did you get the lift springs from?
Fabian Fazzari I got the springs from Eibach, and the lift kit from Daystar
What size tires is on the jeep renegade?
225 65 r17 BFG KO2’s
do you know the Part number for the 4x2? cant find it on there website
4x2 is not available yet
it's the same as the 4x4 ;-)
The partnumbers of the stockdampers are also the same, 4x4's and 4x2's only differ in linkage-lengths so the linkbars are the only difference between them.
This eibach liftkit goes just aswell on a 4x2 .
On their site they say only 4x4 , since they've only tested on the 4x4 version.
Fitment though is just the same ;-)
How is the driving comford now? Same like last time?
Hardliner drives better with the spring kit. Less body roll during turns and braking is better
Thx nice to know. Are this the 3cm kit?
Hardliner It’s a one and a half inch lift plus another inch from the spring kit
@@Snooobaru and the spring Kit is from eibach and the Lift Kit too? Thanks for your help!
I just got me a 4x4 altitude renegade, what tire size are you running with the day star lift and the springs?
BFG KO2’s 225 65 r17. These fit any Renegade with or without a lift. No spacers needed either. Eibach E30-51-018-01-22 Spring Kit. Absolutely epic setup for the 4x4
Is there any benefit to installing only the springs without the lift kit? Do the springs provide any lift at all?
The Eibach spring kit will add 1” of lift all the way around. Absolutely, by adding just the springs will greatly enhance the drivability with less body roll on these Renegades. I highly recommend them!!! 👍🏼👊🏼
The same size spring with a higher spring rate usually gives any vehicle some lift. My Isuzu rodeo sits 2-3" higher in the rear after swapping coils from a trooper that is 1000lbs heavier.
