They released another new song a couple weeks back "Strong for Somebody Else." I think it's also a pretty powerful song, even though this particular one speaks more to me.
From one vet to another it’s true, I lived it, bottled my demons inside never talked about them with anyone. It definitely comes out and in a way that you would never wish on anyone. Great reaction Dustin igy6

The reason i love citizen soldiers music is because every time I don't think im gonna relate, but then i do. They help me realize how bad my mental health is and that I've had a hard life.
My connection with this song came to me watching this video. One month into 9th grade i hear "hey, you want to eat with us?" "In pieces you found me. In pieces somehow you believed, you got me off my knees. Shattered to pieces you showed me im someone worth saving." In Pieces by citizen soldier is one of my favorite songs. But that one friend after 8 years forgot about me when he got a girl friend. And for the rest of my friends i made along the way... I die a little bit every time i hear "wow, it's been forever since we last talked. We should hang out more." As if I don't try to make plans and the reason we stop talking is because im sick of constinly reaching out.
I see a clear path to bettering my mental health and life, but it onihet harder to do every time it fails. another good song, wanted by citizen soldier. The first thing that hit me like a truck was the visual in music video, a phone saying no missed calls. Then thie lines "the kid picked last, there must be more to life then that familiar pain, that i can't change."
This is one of my favorite band. Definitely a good song. Even inspired a poem.

I love this song! Citizen soldier is an amazing band and Jakes voice is the best
I was taught to hide it. I only have very few and I mean 2 people that I can open up to about this. I was abused as a toddler to my early teen years and I keep hearing "you're an adult now. At this point, you are faking it for attention." Or "get over it" I'm personally afraid to talk to people or get therapy because I'm strongly set on..if my own family doesn't care, why would a stranger?
This band really makes me feel like I'm not alone. I'm not the only one suffering alone and that it's possible that a stranger would care. Hiding it gets hard and sometimes, it shows on me but no one's asked if I needed help so I just keep it to myself.
Wow! I Started my military career back in 1989. Got out then went back in 06, will retire in 24. I have been a geo bachelor since 2008. I find myself to be a lone wolf so to speak, though i do well in small group settings with my staff and soldiers. The bulk of my friends are military and i think its because i can relate to them. About 6 months ago my wife asked me before i retire and come home to get some therapy or dont come home. I am in the process of dealing with things from my childhood and deployments and it is a bitch for sure. What is being said in this song is absolutely true. For me personally i feel that im good and everyone else is fucked up but in reality im the fucked up one.
“Let It Burn” and “Broken Like Me” are my recommendations by Ciitizen Soldier!

My friend i.been friends 27 yrs .she is cut herself your song helped her look at them as tattoos and she cut herself for years but age quite .and you're songs helps her ..she started at 12 and if felt she hurt someone she punishment too herself thank you for your songs inspiration for all listening too your music helped me as .God bless 🙌
I know I especially relate to it. Been through a lot and I have a "friend" (we plan on getting in a relationship). I feel this way about him. Especially so since he's the first person I've felt I can be truly vulnerable. I feel as tho I'm burdening him with that. But he always reassures me that it's okay and he understands.

CS is by far one of my top 5 all time favorite bands man, an they don't even get the recognition they deserve...
For me I'm not very trusting of a therapist. Just the way I do. I go to my friends. However I don't trauma dump on them. That guy I was talking about. Accidentally called him at near 1 am. When I noticed I ended it (he didn't pick up) but on discord he messaged me if everything was okay. He knows what I deal with.
I apologize to him about that but he said it was fine and I needed anything to just call him. It truly warmed my heart since I never really had someone like that.
You channel just came up on my FYP(?) of youtube. Love it. But isn't amazing how Citizen Soldier is able to put into words so well what we feel?
Sometimes talking to someone about what you hold onto is scary, and not doing it hurts, so you end up dying slowly.
If you liked this song I'd recommend checking out another song by them called Runaway From Myself. It's a truly powerful song and it's about the question "How do you leave what's in your head?"

I absolutely love this group and their lyrical video. One of my favorite tracks is Bedroom Ceiling. I think it is relatable to anyone with any issue.
