There are times when I think men shouldn’t play football . . . then I see Joe Klecko, a man who personifies football 🏈
I'm a Dolphins fan , but honor to whom honor is due. Mark Gastineau was the star of the " New York Sack Exchange " , but #73 was the heart and soul of that defensive line ( And don't forget Marty Lyons ).
And Joe finally gets into Canton - about damn time too!
100%!! Long overdue honor for such a legend. So happy he's finally in.
I am not a jet fan at all.. But I tuned in because of Joe Klecko.. He was so strong and quick.. He could be under a block and throw them off and boom got the tackle.. He was a big happy guy that just played hard all the time.. Most coaches just hope and dream to get a Joe Klecko type player.. He fired up all those he player with.. Many times he would fight they block after block and still get the qb.. it was so fun to watch.. so long ago..
What Can U Say About Joe Klecko🤔He Was Hard Nosed,Tough As Nails💪Played 3 Positions on “D”Line.Best At Nose Tackle! He Was A Raging🔥Bull😤Huge Part of New York Sack Exchange in the 80’s.Congrats🎉Joe!Mak’n it To Canton🏈HOF🙌
Joe Klecko was much more than a powerful defensive lineman, he was the mastermind of the 1981 New York Sack Exchange, P.S. Finally, Joe Klecko is going to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in Canton!!
Nice!!! Seemed unblockable at times!!! Congratulations to #73 Mr. Joe Klecko, long overdue and WELL DESERVED!!!

Probaby and most likely,, one of the best if not THE BEST ,,DURING THE YEARS HE PLAYED,, AT HIS POSITION,, IF I remember correctly,,, he played tackle and end on defense... A FRIGGING RELENTLESS BEAST!!!!!
CERTIFIED BADASS - CONGRATULATIONS ON THE HOF
I always liked Joe klecko. one of my favorite jets of all time.
My all time favorite J E T, Mighty Joe Klecko.
Love your description Blue Collar Baller!! Perfection with music & highlights!! Loved it!!
Thank you, haha! Glad you enjoyed it.
Back when MEN played football!!
Amen, he got in.
Took too damn long.
All pro across the d line like no other .
When Munoz says you belong in the hall, you belong.
This highlight reel reminds you what a superb player this guy was. See that stare and intensity! He was almost unstoppable before he got injured in a meaningless play and lost that incredible quickness of feet. He was still a top player afterwards, though, with the interior possibly suiting him better after injury. The best tribute came from Joe Delamellieure or John Hannah: "Some might have played the defensive line as good as Joe, but no one played it better".
Klecko was a hell of a football player
He's all that, and more . Congratulations, Sir .
Wow congratulations Joe.
Joe Kelcko was certainly a incredible player with the Jets now he's a fine member of the Hall Of Fame in Canton Ohio so congratulations Kelcko you definitely deserve it and you earned it too
Wow. This guy is fast, powerful, and MEAN.
I love the hit when Joe popped Jim Kelly before the ball was snapped. Kelly went flying backwards 😅
The Original Beast Mode.
Anthony Munoz used to patronize our Italian deli in Thousand Oaks in the early 80’s. I made him his hot pastrami. He was already a legend out of USC as the Trojans greatest offensive lineman. Anthony told me Gastineau was the hardest, toughest fastest, D lineman he had faced, I believe he mentioned Klecko and Dexter Manley also, not Howie Long
Klecko should be in the hof he's still one of the most versatile d lineman I have seen he could play any position on the line if you wanted him too and it's not too many guys who could do it back then or now especially at a pro bowl level
Agreed, 100%.
He will deservedly (about time) be getting in this 2023 HOF senior class. Along with first ballot HOF NY Jets Cornerback Darrelle Revis! They will both be joining NY Jets players: Joe Namath (class of 1985) WR Don Maynard (class of 87) RB Curtis “My favorite” Martin (class of 2012) NT DT and DE Joe Klecko (class of 2023) and HC Ewbank (class of 1978) The will make only 6 NY Jets in the pro-football HOF? That’s including 5 players and 1 HC.
You forgot Kevin Mawae and Winston Hill
when he was healthy there was no one better
2023 Congrats to Joe "Babyface" Klecko NFL Hall of Fame.
KLECKO on my ALL TIME DL....LeRoy Selmon Randy White, Howie Long, Bruce Smith...

The Lions Silver rush of 1978-1982 al bubba Baker and the boys
Why don't any NFL players wear those huge, long facemasks like they did back in the 70's and 80's? And those gigantic shoulderpads, like Okoye did? Or those high neck supports that stuck up 4 inches behind their neck?
