“I wish I played today, not for the competition, but for the money” truest quote ever said 😂
I know Joe personally so happy for him and his entire family !!
I got goosebumps hearing that j e t s jets jets jets I've been screaming for thirty years over this man that he belongs in there, thank god he is there
Congratulations Joe! Well deserved and long time coming but you made it! As a Jet season ticket holder during the Shea Stadium days I watched you every single home game and can attest that you were truly one of the best DL ever . Many times stats don’t show the entire story. You epitomized what a real football player should be.A real life Rocky. Thanks for the memories
The New York Sack Exchange was a great defensive line, and it’s cool to see Klecko finally make it in.
That was a real super speech from Mr. Joe Klecko.❤
What a great player and competitor he was! Well deserved FINALLY!!!
Joe Klecko Was Iconic New York Jets From The 70s And 80s Sack Exchange Defense Also Made Appearances Smokey and The Bandit 2 And Cannonball Run Movie Thanks For Uploading
Joe Klecko was very underrated, and should have been inducted a long time ago. Very, very consistent and ultra tough. Great inside, and surprisingly agile at end. Abdul- Salaam played at nearby Kent State. Wesley Walker was ultra fast, a touchdown maker, and great hands with one eye. Fantastic player.
Not a Jets fan but I 100% agree that Joe Klecko belongs in the Hall of Fame. A real football player.
Congrats Mr. Klecko…to his family, teammates.
And to Jets nation: my father and uncle, may they rest, and to ALLLL the die hards out there…I’m happy for y’all.
It has been a long time coming for this man. He was one of the best defensive players EVER!!! Watching him wear that gold jacket is absolute vindication of an honor well deserved. If those Jet teams in the early 80’s would’ve had a quarterback that was consistent and didn’t get interception happy at the wrong times there is no doubt they would’ve hoisted the Lombardy trophy. Well done Joe!!!
Class act Joe was old school and tuff as nails, never complained and always gave 1000% on every snap even when he was hurt. Pleasure to watch play and class act, on and off the field. Love you Joe good luck on your hall of fame induction. God bless you and your family. Stay strong brotherhood. Couldn't deny forever.
A true field warrior and leader. Well deserved.
The wait is finally over and the Leader of the New York Sack Exchange is where he belongs.
"Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog! Joe Klecko is from the West End of Chester and used hang out on our block back then. Still has the mannerisms and DELCO accent. His story will forever be an inspiration. He also mentioned Joe Logue at the beginning of his speech. Mr. Logue is one of the classiest gentlemen that you could ever meet. For me, it so awesome to know of someone who frequented the block to become a NFL HOFer!
You’ve made Chester and delco proud Joe!!
Long time coming. Well desreved. He was a player that had to be gameplanned for and an inspirational human being.
Utmost respect to Joe on Finally making the HOF.....sent chills down my spine when he read of the names of past teammates....haven't heard those names in years
One of only two players, to be inducted in HOF, to have made the pro bowl, at three different positions, DE, DT, NT; the other, Frank Gifford
He was good friends with my great grandparents. My great grandfather was a Chester PA police officer and he used to work the St. James high school games when he played there.
From a Dolphins fan and a big Joe Klecko fan, Joe you deserved this along time ago, congratulations Joe Klecko, congratulations!!
I used to love, watching those matchups , years ago when he played the dolphins and went up against Dwight Stephenson, probably the best center that ever played, and unfortunately had his career cut short. That was one of the best matchups in the trenches I had ever seen
@@4736dmr I so miss those classic matchups!! Zach Thomas and Joe Klecko, Dolphins Jets once again! Congratulations too both of those guys, well deserved.
And better yet congratulations to Zach Thomas, Joe Klecko, Ronde Barber, Don Cornell, Chuck Howley, Darrelle Revis, Ken Riley, Joe Thomas, and DeMarcus Ware!!! H.O.F. CLASS OF 2023!!!
And now I would like to cast my vote for the 2024 H.O.F.!!! JIM JENSEN!!!! I'm sorry but not sorry for believing Jim Jensen deserves his BUST to be placed in CANTON OHIO!!!!
Thank you Joe for being a reason I'm a Jets fan. My dad just recently died on June 23rd... Growing up in New Jersey We had a choice of teams and mine became the Jets for better or for worse... I always say my faith and my football team or my bookends... I love the Jets and I loved following you in the sack of change in those great years.. Thank you for bringing pride to the green and white
We love you Joe, and the good Lord surely will welcome you into the Hall that matters most. God Bless.
Way to go JOE!! We love ya
Im so happy for him
Long overdue For Joe one of the best interior pass rushers of all time
Who can forget his legendary supporting roles in Smoky and the Bandit 2 and Canonball Run.
I'm so glad we got to see this guy enjoy his flowers. I was afraid he'd be inducted after he passed away. That would have been a tragedy.
Agree and it probably meant a lot for teammates and those he played against.
@@randilla4149 agree his teammates, coaches, and everyone involved in that legendary defense are probably all ecstatic for him
Debbie is sitting there going, “Oh Joe! Pfffst! 🤦🏻♀️” 😂
Joe Klecko's Bust is one of the better ones I have seen in a while.
Thank you Gary also!!
Loved that he acknowledged Kyle Clifton. To this day, he’s the franchise leader in tackles and was a workhorse on some terrible Jets teams and gets none of the recognition he deserves. The fact that he’s not in the Jets Ring of Honor is a terrible oversight. He needs to get in ASAP!
Some great names of the past getting what they ''earned''....
Thank you to the Hess family!!!!
BOUT TIME! LONG OVERDUE! CONGRATS JOE. JET UP!✈️✈️
KLECKOOOOOOO! Hard nosed piece of grizzle! Long overdue and well deserved! And praise to GOD for your heart for him! Talent is given to us by the creator… many today think it’s all about them and what they’ve done, but forget where the talent really came from. Certainly not just self!
That Busy is the Most ACCURATE I've ever seen of the Actual Person.
Joe, this Bulldog, class of '88, congratulates you on your well deserved enshrinement among the best in the game.
my dad watched em he said he was going to be a great fit for the NYJ Defense as a former northerner my dad watched him and Nameth mark gasternopha 😃😃😃
I love that he gave glory to God and thanked his parents for taking him to church every Sunday! Hallelujah amen!
7:45 The current owners of the Jets request a shoutout after Klecko previously mentions Leon Hess
Or someone said don't forget the Johnsons.
There is nothing like a jet getting inducted into the HOF, followed up by a jets chant, being lead by fireman ed; that was good
Absolutely DESERVED!!!
John Taylor of the 49ers needs to be in the hall of fame
It's about dam time❤
What about Mark Gastineau
Bout time..❤
Congrats, Joe!
Congratulations Joe Klecko!-Well Deserved
Finally Finally Finally!!!! Why this Man waited 30 years is a damn embarrassment to the NFL. Congrats Joe Klecko!!
Klecko !!! #73💪✈️🙌
"Fireman Ed, where are ya!; Ed , where are ya"!!
when he mentioned the money at least he was honest
Well deserve Mr.Klecko you earned it👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
A long time coming im not a jets fan but this should have happened years ago.
He was one of only 2 players inducted, in HOF to make the pro bowl at 3 position s; him and frank gifford
Bruce Matthews?
J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS!
Loved it! When he gave God! The Glory at the end of his speech! Yes! God gave him HIS ABILITY TO PLAY AT HIS LEVEL. Thank you ! Joe Oh! By the way. I am a DIE HARD MIAMI DOLPHIN FAN. OHH! How I use too hate it when u would make a GREAT PLAY ON MY TEAM. ( wished u was on my team ) I even collected your Ball Cards. You were a beast, PRO! THANK YOU! FOR THANKING OUR GOD! JESUS CHRIST!
I grew up watching the NY Sack Exchange. Joe Klecko was the heart and soul of our defense. Now let get Mark Gastineau in the HOF. I noticed Joe did not mention Mark Gastineau when he spoke about defensive line.
Gastineau got into the PFRA Hall of Very Good and deservedly so.
I don’t know if I’d say Hall of Fame for him, but I will say two things for Gastineau:
He has more sacks in his seven best seasons combined than several players who ended up making Canton; Lawrence Taylor and JJ Watt to name two.
And he got at least one sack in all seven Jet playoff games in the 80’s.
J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!
The end was the best!!!!!!
J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!!
He will make some decent change signing an autograph with the initials H O F Joe Klecko. Congratulations to Mr. Klecko .
Sid Gilman was the true Passing Offense innovator as Don Coryell is under Sid Gilman coaching tree with all do respect both great head coaches.
Let’s Go Los Angeles battle Chargers!
Da Da Dah Dah Da Charge!!!!!
⚡️🐴🏈
Best Jet ever. But if Namath has/is #1, Joe Klecko is a close second. Doubled team every play yet his presence was felt every play. I just remember how freakishly strong he was, made his teammates better. All Pro at three positions, hard to believe it took so long. Congratulations from the last three rows is Shea Stadium and The Meadowlands.
"From the moment the greatest Jet of all time, Joe Namath, knocked on my door I've been reflecting on my football life and the people who helped me."
"And who would'a ever figured out that trucking made me more money later(!)"
So quotable. 20.5 sacks in 1981. "We were both Pollacks, so it fit real well."
Great Jet! You deserved it!
Mo Lewis ring of honor, come on jets
nothing like the end of a Jet s hall of fame speech, with a j-e- t-s chan t, lead by fireman Ed
Where is the top 3 pass rusher in the 80s Mark Gastienui#99
Man fireman Fred is the ultimate fan too bad your not a bucs fan lol
Fact: I knock out klecko in a bar fight in 2001.
Was his induction delayed due to his off the field issues that’s the only reason I can think of for him having to wait so long
Congrats to Joe "Bagyface" Kloecko.
"Babyface" My Bad.
New York Jets still don't have no hope making it to the playoffs this Year with Aaron Rodgers just be happy to have Green Bay Packers leftovers again 😁
Sounds like you don’t know your football lol
@@miguelortiz7774 love my team we got nine titles before it became the NFL included one Super bowl 😁😁😁😁
My team has 8 titles: 4x NFL champions and 4x super bowl champions. Go Giants!
I’m a giants fan , but my brother love his jets always , bring good memories of watching football with my brother 😮when football was simple and fun to watch 😮now how woke players have gotten 😮
Now induct Mark Gastineau 99👍👏🏈
Indianapolis colt great!!!
When he felt like sacking the QB it happened.
Jets Sac exchange member.. really
💚💚💚🤍🤍🤍
McMichael was a much better player for longer.
Is it just me or is he struggling to finish his sentences?
Bro's old, cut him some slack
Nerves get the best of you. He's real clear in Jets postgames. 😂
He is not a hall of famer. Deion was right, there needs to be a super star section and a “good player” section. Only 4 pro bowls? Sympathy vote.
C T E
Third😊
Lol
What’s funny
Cs I said third
first
Lol
Not a great speech could have been better
Was obviously nervous
Did it without reading from a script
Klecko had like 2 good seasons. Of those 2 seasons, 1 great season. Definately overrated and shows that the HOF Committee is sleeping on some greats who had great seasons for 3/4 of a decade instead of 1 season wonders.
If you say so 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You obviously didn't watch him play.
You are a fool. Every offensive linemen he played against said he was a hall of fame player.
You have no idea who he was and you’re just looking at numbers. The new york sack exchange is one of the greatest Pass Rush duos of the 80s and all time.
@@randilla4149 sure did and feel lucky to have. 🙂
Mark Gastineau deserved the Gold Jacket more in my opinion. He had 11.5, 20, 6, 19, 22 and 13.5 sacks. Finished 3rd, 5th, 7th and 3rd in DPoY voting 4 years in a row. Just my opinion, He was the better part of the New York Sack exchange. Klecko just played a little longer. I dont really get it.
I mean you can make the argument that Gastineau was the better pass rusher but there’s more to football than rushing the passer. Klecko in my opinion was the superior player. Dude played on a broken leg and was a Pro Bowler at 3 different positions. He’s well deserving of this honor.
@@sju1fanKlecko was definitely the more well rounded player, but Mark Gastineau had a darn good career of his own.
Overshadowed by all the antics, dances and off field issues is the fact that Gastineau had more sacks in his seven best seasons combined than several Hall of Fame pass rushers; namely Lawrence Taylor.
He made the PFRA Hall of Very Good this past year, and I’d say deservedly so.
Klecko to the Hall of Fame, Gastineau to the Hall of Very Good, and I’d say both deserved it.
