Damn, I've never heard of the TCR street spoiler. That's actually such a clean hot-boi look. Now I want it... not sure if I can justify dumping more into this car though
@@VWTalk thank you I appreciate that. You should post a walk around of how it is looking on the car. I just did the TCR diffuser this past weekend, fit and finish is phenomenal.
@@tyruggs I'll try and get around to it. Been delaying showing the car off because I have OEM smoked dynamic osram mirror signals and the OEM gloss black mirror caps that I am waiting to install
Nice looking GTI, Chuck! I'm also interested in parts of the TCR 'look' specifically the rear/roof spoiler. Not sure about Canada, but in the US the 2021 GTIs appear to come with the exact same spoiler, though it is all black instead of body-colored for the main part and black for the lip/extension. Did you order the roof spoiler from e-acca as well? If so, did it come primered, and was the assembly in two pieces, or does that part number in your description correspond only to the extension piece?
The PN is only the extension piece. It does look almost the same as my friends 2021 canadian autobahn. There are two spoiler lips that you can get, there's the tcr/r performance and then the rabbit one that was slightly shorter. I believe 21s had the r performance lip which is the one I have. Mine came painted, all of the items do. In Europe and on some of the rabbit edition, it actually came the way mine is configured, where the original spoiler isn't painted black but the extension is. I considered paint matching mine however used that fact to justify my setup. Everything euro spec I have is from e Acca.
Thank you very much for the video, I plan to add a fog lights to my GTD FL 2018 which has exactly the same front bumper with vents as the GTI TCR, but I am not sure if I need to change the internal supports and the front liners, can you please share with me the right part numbers of all parts.
You definitely need to change out the internal supports. I’m curious if you can share the part numbers you have, as they’d help people do this retrofit. Unfortunately I’ve gotten rid of the vehicle so I cannot check :(
Hey thanks for the video man. I have a 19 cornflower. So far i have the tcr muffler i have a custom mid pipe made up with a vibrant resenator 2.5" pipe. How did you hook it up to the factory midpipe? i plan to get the side skirts and rear first those are easy to install. I'm like you most of the front lips are just too much going on the tcr kit just looks perfect. you should do a video of the front and rear on the car.
I just used a exhaust clamp, there's a factory VW part number for it. However, mine is a 2018. the 2019+s had a different diameter pipe (smaller) than the 2018s (which the TCR muffler was designed for), so you'll need someone to weld in an adapter pipe or use two clamps and an adapter pipe or find an adapter clamp. Expect a video of the entire car in the next week or so when I have it cleaned up and my dynamic turn signals come
@@DatGameCollector yeah im blessed where the install was as close to plug and play as you can ask. the mirror signals are something I put off for ages but I bought gloss black OEM mirror caps, and if im taking them off I want to do the signals. hate taking those off.
@@stebenit honestly if it dosent have double sided tape and fits well it might not be a bad option, lips get fucked up and this is not an install for the faint of heart
Thanks for the video. Currently doing the same conversion. Was there any hardware needed to complete this front splitter and is that the correct part number for the splash guard. Thanks in advance.
So to do it totally OEM, there are some push pins that go under the splitter. These can be purchased separately and are the only hardware needed that is extra. The splash guard IS the correct part number, however, the existing bumper support brackets do not fit properly. There are other bumper brackets available, but I was able to cut my current one to work until I find the right bracket. The TCR has no fog lights (instead has vents), so im not sure if the bumper brackets from the TCR would even hold foglights.
@Chuck okay, I'll order up the parts, what time am I coming over. Lol. Did you get a count for the hardware needed? And if so, do you know the part numbers
@@barrycraig7304 Haha. I can try and get a count but I ended out ordering 50 of 8E0825267, since they were 10c a piece. Not sure if they are the correct but basically all you need is a push pin style retainer, which there are a lot of generics available for. For now, I used zip ties.
@@VWTalk Just received all the parts necessary for this. So, I'm extremely happy. But the 8E0825267 clips are too large. Did you have any other thoughts on what clips would work?
No, I didn't. In reality it dosent matter since I already mangled mine (like a $40 part). When I have more free time I'll probably take a chance and order a set.
as i am eagerly waiting for my TCR muffler to come, my lovely car received the great opportunity of eating someone's unsecured load in their pick up truck which subsequently cracked my center lower honeycomb grill.. how long did it take to remove it? i am also a noobie when it comes to removing stuff on a car/bodywork - just very nervous about breaking tabs/clips
The bumper is very easy, maybe takes 20-30min to remove carefully. The grille once you have the bumper off took me about 2 hours to remove each tab carefully, but I took my time. It's just releasing about 30 clips. If your honeycomb is already broken you dont have to be as gentle because you're probably replacing it anyways. No shop will take care to take each out and not crack it. It's not hard to remove without cracking but does take patience.
@@UntoldFate You definitely can. You can see where the clips really are in the video. Worst case, just cut the old one's clips to make it easy on your fingers. I'm the furthest from a mechanic or body man and I got it. It's intuitive.
So dumb question probably but here it goes. I have a normal 2020 GTI mk7.5 Facelift right. Will all these TCR parts (TCR rear diffuser, side skirts, front lip, and wing) fit on my normal azz GTI?
Yes, they will. I have a normal 2018 GTI MK7.5, North American Model. The front splitter is hard to fit but can be made to work. The only thing that I have that is not direct bolt up is the TCR muffler. On 2019+ they changed the piping diameter so you'd need to order a special clamp or get an exhaust shop to weld in an adapter, but that's not hard.
Awesome! I went with the TCR kit as well but on a Night blue metallic in the states. The new TCR street spoiler is really tempting.

I ordered them from a website called e-acca. Seems sketch, but worked out great for me, and little to no duties/taxes.

Can’t buy it from the dealer I bought from an online European OEM parts store, e-acca. There’s a handful of stores tho, so shop around
