02:47 - The brass coloured 'flange' (?) is not involved in making any sort of seal - this is done entirely by the orange o-ring - sealing between the connection body and the clear plastic pipe. The 'flange' is crimped onto the plastic pipe and functions solely to keep the clear plastic pipe retained in the junction housing. Personally I would not use such an aggressive cleaning system as 400 grade sandpaper. Some wire wool or small rotary wire brush would be much less damaging to the body of the connection. Using any sort of sandpaper may even make the new o-ring fail to seal properly. Applying some de-scaling solution (or just white vinegar) to the limescale deposits will make most of the 'scratchy' cleaning unnecessary, anyway.
Nice video! I have the same problem with my Jura XF50. I need to check out what's going out inside my coffee machine! Now I see what probably I need to repair - thanks!
Hi there, Great Video.. I have a question... Would you know how to open the side on the Jura S8. mine is leaking water from the right-hand side. I can not find a service center in my area for Jura. I was hoping to have a go at it myself, but when I took all the screws but having a hard time taking the front off and i do not want to force it and bit scared I might break something. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
They're often corroded and the hoses don't come out anymore. Then the connector and hoses have to be changed. But there's also a kit to swap the whole heater to the newer version without the brass connections. Actually only works out about 12€ more than just buying the new metal connector and it comes with heater, hoses, connectors and seals.
Thank you for the video. Looks like I might have a similar issue on my X8. Have you done any work on opening an X8 to identify a leak? From your videos, it appears that it's not rocket science, but apparently (to me) just opening the X8 is. Thanks!
Hey! I just got a refurbished Jura impressa limited edition, not sure how old it is. The coffee is great, but I noticed some water in the tray under the container with the coffee residue (not sure if I'm explaining it right). Any idea why is that happening? Thank you a lot!
@@yt.myworks Thank you! Same story here. Bought a refurbished J9 recently. Saw some water in the tray and had the same thoughts. Glad to read it's nothing to worry about! 👍
Hi! I just switched over from my DeLonghi Intensa to a refurbished Jura C5, and I have a question. This I presume is normal, because it's audible in the video. What is that buzzing after the brew? Is it a solenoid blocking the coffee spout?
@Jakab Gergő: The buzzing comes from the solenoid valve that opens the drainage valve. The valve is located at the bottom of the brew group. If it's not louder like my video then everything is fine
@@yt.myworks Yes, thank you. I have searched both Ebay and Amazon. Problem with Ebay is their very outdated and very expensive shipping whereas Amazon has free shipping for orders over $49 which is great when you are buying multiple items. Amazon is King in most circumstances. Ebay needs to overhaul its shipping service because it turns a lot of people off using Ebay, myself included. They have an amazing amount of worldly reach. You'd think they'd do a deal with all the shipping companies instead of using GSP, which is a total rip off. Ebay are still in the dark ages.
You're right. But at the moment many shipping options are severely limited due to the corona virus. For example, shipping to the USA is only possible by sea with DHL. Maybe it's worth waiting a little.
@@mechanicom he said if water leaks onto the tabletop then it’s probably a. different. Do let me know if you figure it out. I am having the Sam’s problem. I think I need to romance the gasket inside the water tank but I don’t know how to get to it.

Zo een dure koffiebonen apparaat, lekkage. Zonde,

I just replaced a similar part / function on my Impressa E8. No more leaks for me.
Where did you get your parts. I have an Impressa E8 with a leak. Have not taken it apart yet, but after watching this I think I might.
Thank you hero
I LOVE 0:46! (and actually I love your voice)
It has a very "Blue Man Group" vibe to it!
Can you tell me what size orange o rings these are?
3,4x1,9 mm

what is that lubricant that you applied to the orange ring?
@Paddy P It's a silicone grease
@@yt.myworks awesome thanks for that. I was able to order a food grade version. ✅

Hello, some water in the drip tray is normal. After the coffee has been prepared, the remaining water (two to three tablespoons) is drained off. LG
@@yt.myworks thank you so much! I was worried that maybe something was wrong 🤗

Some leak at the output of your pump, maybe your pressure regulator also leak

@@yt.myworks it's not. Thank you! I was just unsure of that sound. Is it the cause of the dry pucks?
The valve opens so that the pressure in the brew group escapes. The brew group can then return to its starting position and eject the used coffee.
@@yt.myworks Thanks!

Jura Impressa C5 passend ?
I have a water lake on my jura f90
But from the black part up there you work, what i should have to do?
Do you mean the valve? You can repair it or buy it new. Check out my other video where I am restoring a Jura. LG
Will this work on the E8 Jura ?
@Jeff Welker yes, but the valve is slightly different. A new Refurbishing Jura E8 video is coming soon.
Super 👍😀
I did everything to the leak on the back of my S9 impresas but it still leaks. It looks like a tiny hole in the black plastic elbow? Is that possible?
You can send me a picture maybe I can spot the problem yt.myworks@hotmail.com

Cześć! Szczerze mówiąc nie miałem jeszcze takiego przypadku ale myślę że to ma jakiś związek z rzadkim odkamienianiem maszyny.

Check the tube between water tank and flow meter
Great tutorial, but I bet the coffee tasted oily for the first few cups 🤮
That's food grade silicone. It's tasteless, and that just a tiny little dab, anyway.
These are known problems with jura systems. Send to a repair facility but expensive
