Thanks for sharing such a high-quality video! Our local Jura agent is not interested in servicing our 7-year-old E80 coffee machine unless it has broken. As I am technically inclined I decided to find a good instructional video so that I can do it myself. I am not prepared to wait until my nice, expensive coffee machine breaks! Your video outdid my best expectations- many thanks! Now just to get the right tools, some spare parts and find a day where I can peacefully tackle this project without any interruptions- and re-watch your video as well as the second instructional video about the brewing unit. After watching your video I realized that the local service center would definitely not even go through half the amount of trouble and care that you did, so I definitely will not take my machine there. I will do it myself in a proper manner like what I have seen you do. I Keep up the good work! Anita
Anita, thank you so much for your generosity. I am very happy that my video can help you to overhaul your machine. I wish you every success and fun with the repair.
I am glad I bought the DeLonghi ECAM magnifica! It costs a lot less and is much easier to keep clean! It is a shame that manufacturers make sure that you do not let the user clean the parts that come into contact with food. Fortunately, I am very technical and mechanical and think your channel is an absolute winner!
Im really impressed! Its almost good condition. I owned Philips EP2231. It served for 2.5 years, i cleaned every week and month as in manual, cleaned, descaled, applied silicone everywhere, it's like new BUT it used to broke 2 times. After 6 month first problem - motor for the brew. Then it electromagnetic valve or something like that.. Now looking for Jura or Delonghi
Thanks for this - we're cleaning the brew group to get rid of an e8 error. Small tip - at 05:53 you pull the connector from the front panel assembly by its wires. I'd pull them out by the plug.
You saved me at least 100 EUR. The grinder was clogged, and I managed to get rid of the cohesived layer. I did all other shown maintenance as well. Now it is new. Thx a lot. :)
Wow your attention to detail and ease with which you manipulate the parts is impressive. I would not trust myself to remember how the many parts fit back together but for the large amount of money invested in this machine can see how very useful a thorough service would be to the longevity of the machine. Is the descaling fluid you used is readily available to purchase? Thanks for your very instructive video
Is there a link where I can buy only the black plastic grinder part with wings under the blade in this video at 13:31? The grinder motor works normally, but the ground coffee is stuck inside the grinder.
As a rule, the part never breaks, try to reassemble the grinder correctly. It is important that the parts fit together correctly at minute 13:52 and 13:57. If that doesn't help, turn the grindstones a little looser and the coffee should come out.
Wonderfull video and extremely details. Thank you. My nozzles that the coffee comes out off are clogged and I have not been able to get to that particular part. I am afraid I won't be able to put it back together if I go that far. I may have failed to descale regularly. Any suggestions?
You can try to clear the spout from below with a small brush. If that doesn't help then something else is probably clogged. Descaling is also highly recommended.
wpadłem przypadkiem i widzę świetną robotę, super. Osobiscie taki serwis zajmuje mi ok 6 godzin bez polerowania. Dokładając polerowanie myślę, że spokojnie z 2-3 godziny dłużej. Pozdrawiam
Thanks so much. Managed to do about 80% of what you did before found this video. How I can do so much more now! Mine was so much more dirty than this one😱🤢

Thank you for great instructional video. I have a problem with a WE8 model very similar to this one. Once every few or a dozen or so brewings, the coffee does not appear in the cup and the ground coffee falls into the grounds container and the water into the drip tray. The machine is only 4 years old and has made about 13,000 coffees. Could you suggest what could be the cause?
Hello, I think that the brewing group needs to be replaced. When the brewing group wears out, it skips the cycle and the brew chamber does not open. As a result, the ground coffee falls into the drip tray.
Danke.
Hi! I just exchanged all the O Rings on the E8! Thanks for that! I have question, I was in process of buying o rings, what is better quality VMQ OR FKM o rings? I can see that FKM should be higher quality? could you also please make video of what diameter hoses are needed for the brewing unit and so on to replace them.. What I mean is the one you are holding at 6:23 Mark
Question, if I may. When making a cup of coffee, the grinder and it's plastic fan stopped rotating. I started hearing the motor inside of the grinder assembly spinning much faster then it usually does, with the louder, whining type of noise. The beans stopped moving down the grinder funnel. After a few seconds, the motor stopped. The machine showed a message, asking to add coffee beans, even though there were plenty of beans in the bean funnel. I disassembled the machine following your instructions. Accessed the grinder and found a piece of metal stuck in there. After I removed it the debris, I took of the fan, the grinder cone, the cloth washer, cleaned it all up. It did not look damaged or skewed. Everything assembled straight and flush. Put it all back together. After the normal warmup and prep, I initiated making a cup of coffee. The grinder started rotating normally, moved some beans in, but in a few seconds, without any visible reason, the fan and the cone just stopped rotating, beans stopped moving down, and the whining sound reappeared. Have you encountered this problem before? Do you think there is a chance of fixing this, or do I need to replace the grinder assembly? It's kind of expensive. :((( Thank you for your time!
Has the long screw become loose after you brewed the first cup of coffee? It's best if you disassemble everything again and send me some pictures to yt.myworks@hotmail.com maybe I can spot something.

Trying to keep the cup tray from getting scratched up is a trick. I have two methods. You can use a silicone coaster. They are available in many colors and designs so you can find one that suits your aesthetic sensibilities. Or you can stick on a sheet of adhesive clear plastic, trim it to fit, and then cut enough out to allow drips to pass through.
Great video that has helped me a lot! I have one part I can't seem to figure out where it came from. It's from the brewing unit/group. It is a black rubber/plastic circle, the size of a thumbnail with a small hole in the middle (1-2 mm). It does fit in the brown thing where the piston goes as seen at 7:27, but I'm not sure if that is where it should go. Any ideas?

Nice video!! I've been searching for the valve replacement at 17:00. What is the name or number of that part, because I've got no luck finding this part.
Hello, First of all. Thank you for your very helpfull video! I made a mistake at 13:00. I removed the outer gear on the grinder. I did not pay attention to the detent. In other words, the spring with the ball. Is there only 1x ball and spring or 2 times? It is possible to insert the spring in 2 places. I would be very grateful for an answer. Maybe you also have a photo. Best regards Stefan
Hello Stefan, the ball with steel spring is only attached in one place as far as I can remember. You can see it better in my other video in minute 13; 33 ruclips.net/video/M8C97HNxAGk/видео.htmlsi=WrMMrCPnwf-bXkqE

In vorraus vielen Dank.
Fantastic video. I am struggling to get the original clamps back on hoses. I noticed you used a different type of clamp. Any help or video on getting the original clamps back on?
Great video! Love the detail and camera work. I am getting coffee out of the right milk coffee side, but no coffee from the left coffee only side. I can sometimes get water coming out if I rinse or if I grind a minimal amount of beans. Any idea about which part has failed? I will be replacing all the o-rings in the cleaning and rebuild but was curious.
Try to descale the machine, to do this the filter function must be deactivated. I suspect that something is clogged. Or the ceramic valve no longer works properly.
@@yt.myworks Thanks. I am not sure this is the problem since I can make a flat white without a problem. I will try descaling after I get everything back together. I have descaled regularly as the machine requests it, and we do not have high mineral water.
Was habe ich an welcher Stelle falsch gemacht?
Hello, I can't say that, but you can make a coffee without the top cover to see what happens. Perhaps the brewing group is set incorrectly so that the brewing chamber is not completely open during the grinding process.

@@MarkVender Is it the one used as a detent on the grinder? At 13:50 you can see a "cog" around the grinder if you unclip this there is a ring with small holes for indexing and underneath the ring with holes in...there is a deep hole with a spring that pushes up a tiny ball bearing this is into the holes and is used as a detent. When its all together and you twist the ring with holes in this should click everytime the ring is rotated as the ball clicks into a new hole. Thats the only one I've seen. Hope its helpful
Hello, good video. I have cleaned the brew group but I think something went wrong, when placed the brew group back in I heard a lot of rattling noise. I have determined that this comes from the brew group motor that keeps spinning even when the white gear is already at the top and can not go further. Then I decided to turn on the machine without the brew group in place and see that the motor keeps spinning and does not stop. Do you think this is a bad encoder or something else that is wrong?
Hello, before installation you have to bring the brewing group into the basic position. When tightening, make sure that the gears of the motor and transmission are properly seated on each other.
WOW, huge respect for your hard work, it was amazing to watch ❤ maybe i will try to refurbish my e800 as well someday, but it doesn’t seem to be very easy 😅 Thanks for your video guide, very appreciated!!
Hi is there anyway of being able to adjust the position of the opening to receive coffee from the grinder in the brew group? when brew group cycles always end with opening 1/2 closed?
Thanks for this video. My machine was leaking and it was coming from the discharge valve. Upon removing the pin with the red pointed tip I realized it was worn and may be the problem. I have a question though. The pin replacement kit comes with 2 additional replacement gaskets (3 total). Do you happen to know where those gaskets go in the discharge valve assembly? Thanks!

Hello and a real thanks for your job! Question: Do you sell the tools and gaskets to refresh this E8? Otherwise could you tell me where to buy ? Merci from 🇫🇷
Thanks for all your videos, they're super therapeutic and satisfying to watch. I've been struggling for over a month now to find a disassembley video for a Jura ENA 4. I'd like to clean the insides. But I've found absolutely nothing online showing how to open and dissassemble/clean it. I can't even get the panels off safely. I wondered if you'd consider doing a video on it? I'll happily sponsor if I can.
Hi, Jura ena 4 is still relatively new on the market and it may take a while until it lands on my workbench. But I think sooner or later I'll make a video about the Jura ena 4 ;-)
I disassembled and cleaned the entire brewer unit. Put it back together and turned the machine back on. Now, when brewing coffee the water just falls into the drip tray behind the unit, not touching the coffee grinds. The coffee grinds then fall, dry, into the drip tray. Any ideas on what went wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Jura Ena 8.
The molded seals in the drainage valve must face inwards, otherwise the water pressure cannot be built up and the water flows into the drip tray. Also check that the valve pin is working properly, sometimes the plastic cap breaks apart.
Great video, thank you for sharing. I have a question about the brewing unit, if you take it out and clean it, what's the starting position to place it back?
Hello, these hoses had a diameter that I didn't have. The two ends of the hose are plugged into each other and you should use original hoses. If these are not moldy, it is enough to clean them.
Thank you for an excellent video. it's been very helpful. I have a question about the hard plastic ring that is around the base of the outside/top grinder housing, which sits on the material ring. The one I have has a break in it. Are they supposed to be like that?
Any idea of my problem. My E8 doesnt even rinse water from coffee spouts, rinse water goes straight to drip tray, milk system works, so hot water comes out from milk frother and coffee also. When making regular coffee, coffee goes straight to drip tray…
Hello, it could be that the ceramic valve is no longer working properly. This is the part on the bottom left of the machine with a lot of hose connections.
@@yt.myworks Now got the coffee flowing from coffee spouts, maybe the ceramic valve was stuck or something since the machine have been sitting for month…
Hello again . I am a big fan of your videos the have helped me so much . I have a question. I hope you can answer.. I just finished my e8 restoration however the scraper blade on the brew unit cracked and glue is not holding . I have extra v2 blade but not sure if it would be an issue in the e8 that has the newer v3 version .
Hello, you mean the shovel? Try running the brewing group up and down by hand, if the shovel doesn't get stuck anywhere, then you're fine. But I don't think that should be a problem.
Another question boss, I wanted to clean front coffee spouts on E8, so I took jura tablet for cleaning and dissolved it in the water. I dipped the front spouts inside the cup. Just to ask you, is that LED light waterproof so I could dip it all the way to the top? :))
I was looking for such a video instruction to clean my E8 after 3 years. but now I understand that there is no need to do this for another 2-3 years))) I use cleaning products when the machine recommends. the only thing I would like to change is to make the grind even finer. is this possible other than what can be done with a lever? Great job!❤
Hi, yes that can be done by removing the housing at the top. Then you can adjust the grinder more finely. The adjustment knob must then be moved back to the middle position.
thanks for the reply! I wanted to clarify because of the intricacies of the translation) do I need to disassemble the coffee machine in order to return the grinder to a finer grind? because now the lever is already maximally turned to fine grinding
I followed the instructions but ended up turning the bean grinder's large outer gear too much. It no stopped clicking and was easily pulled up. It now turns freely. It seems like a spring or something is missing. Do you have any advice on how to get the grinder back to normal? Thanks in advance -
There is usually a spring with a steel ball under the large gear. The parts are very small and have probably been lost. Watch my other video ruclips.net/video/M8C97HNxAGk/видео.htmlsi=MVk_KfMnEMLRcQfN at minute 13;35
What's the diameter of that metal ball under the rotating disc in the grinder? There's 2 holes for those balls but you need only one with the spring? Difficult to find from anywhere...
Depending on which Jura model you have, there are usually three metal balls with three springs or with newer models there are no more, as in my video. The metal ball, if available, has a diameter of Ø 5.5 mm: www.juraprofi.de/Jura-Ersatzteile/Mahlwerk/Feder-und-Kugel-Set-fuer-das-Jura-Mahlwerk::5064.html?refID=gbase&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw48-vBhBbEiwAzqrZVMV-qrV2mhu1UAbQHMpc5h1Em2S61W40U412q4407E5f2k14g-Pe4hoC2pQQAvD_BwE
Hi, with what polishing agent do you polish your machines? I'm looking fora brand that doesn't turn the black shiny parts of a machine into a hazy cloudy vaguely grey surface... sadly all shiny black plastics I polish turn cloudy. Do you know the answer to this? Thank you!
I use Menzerna Polish Set: amzn.to/2PDuE68 Important, you have to polish with the coarse polish and finally with the fine one. Don't forget to always change the sponge pads.
@myworks thank you. Yes I do that as well but the problem is I get a bit of a grey haze in the plastic. It's not a deep black! Do you have that as well? Especially with front panels?
After the "Medium-Cut" polishing, the plastic is slightly gray. After "Super-Finish-Plus" a deep black appears. Important: Each time the polishing paste is changed, the plastic part must be thoroughly cleaned with a wet cloth!
@@yt.myworks is the machine cleaned after juras schedule with tabs and so on? I'm thinking if i keep the machine clean after recommendation this is what it looks like after 6 years?
Exactly! Only the inside of the brew group is cleaned with cleaning tablets. That's why I recommend thorough cleaning (as in the video) after two to three years. However, cleaning with the tablets is very important and should be carried out exactly as recommended by the manufacturer.
My E8 is stuck with empty grounds alarm. It has like this for 2 weeks. Obviously, contacts from tray have been throughly cleaned (they were replaced 2 months ago for new ones). I have done the reset procedure shown in another RUclips clip and nothing changes. Can you please tell me what else could generate this alarm? Do you think I need to replace the brain or electronic board? Please advise.
There are contacts inside the machine. These should be cleaned well, otherwise incorrect values will be measured. To do this, you need to remove the back cover.
@@yt.myworks do you know if this model has the small micro switches to close circuits of tray presence? Or is it merely a contact that closes and sends directly the signal to Electronic Bosrd?
I don't remember that exactly anymore, but I think there are only the two metal ones but no microswitches. The resistance is measured and forwarded to the power board.
@@yt.myworks Please do make one video like you did for E8. You have helped ton of people with that video and brew unit one. How to open it and so on. You would be the first one to make it.

Thanks for the Great Video. I have a 4 year old E8 and there is a water leak where a white reinforced hose connects to a drain valve Y (shaped) near the middle bottom of the machine. At 17:28 of your video you show the type of hose that is leaking. There are 3 of these reinforced hoses and the one that's leaking is the one you can't see in your video. It is just underneath where your working. I believe just the clamp is the problem. The hose looks good inside and out. okay, so I am going to try to order some of those single ear clamps you suggested. However, where can you get these high pressure reinforced hoses if I need to for future reference. No luck finding them anywhere. Thanks again.

Well, I ordered some Oakone single ear pinch clamps (look just like the Oetliker). Couldn't seem to purchase a small assortment quantity of the Oetliker. (Over $100.for a set). You said you used Oetliker 7.8- 9.5mm. I found in my set the 7-8.7 mm too large. I used a 6-7mm that slipped over easy enough. Pinched it to where the ears nearly touch. Hose still leaks. I guess next step is to replace the 2 hoses. This is however the first time I ever used this style clamp, I do not see how I could have done this wrong. Any thoughts? You sourced the hoses for me, Thank you.
Over $100 for a set is very expensive :-o. These hoses will leak over time. After dismantling, these should be replaced because they are exposed to high temperatures.
I found 2 suppliers on Ebay but will not ship from Germany. Jura-parts online has a hose that might fit although his description doesn't include an E8. Sorry to bother you again but can you refer a source. I believe the hose is a 4.2mm Id x 8.

Hi, my E8 has been refurbished according your instructions. Il works perfectly now. Many thanks from France !
I don't even have a E8 but finished watching the whole thing... very fascinating
Beautifully produced content, each shot of the repair is amazingly informative and actually relaxing to watch.
Excellent Work again.
Congratulations!
Good to see the Delonghi cup at the end of the video. 💪 😎
Greetings from Hungary.
Super Video!

Absolutely good manual! Very detailed and everything looks so easy. I am in the middle of cleaning my E80 with it! Thank you!
To be 100% the cup at the end should be JURA instead of Delonghi. :-)
Thumbs up for another great video.
What are the spec of the replacement hoses at 18:10 ?

Hi, you can take both these o-rings exceed the manufacturer's requirements.
@@yt.myworks is this the correct diameter of the HOSE that you replaced on the brewing group? ID 5mm x OD 9mm
Thank you for your time!

Any ideas?
You can send me a picture, maybe I'll remember where the part belongs yt.myworks@hotmail.com

In other words, the spring with the ball. Is there only 1x ball and spring or 2 times? It is possible to insert the spring in 2 places. I would be very grateful for an answer. Hi, I have a Delonghi Eletta Cappuccino Top and no matter how many times I try to descale it, I never gets to the rinsing stage so it will only ever display "descaling underway". I have tried contacting Delonghi but they do not respond. Please help. Thanks Stephen
Is the water tank completely empty? If so, then the problem may be the magnet in the water tank. It's either stuck or has lost its effectiveness.
@@yt.myworks Thanks for the quick response. Will look at that, I also replaced the flow meter and did not make any difference. thanks again Stephen
A water level sensor could also be faulty.

Fantastic video. I am struggling to get the original clamps back on hoses. I noticed you used a different type of clamp. Any help or video on getting the original clamps back on?
That's why I use the oetiker clamps, they are easier to install and hold better ;-)

Hello, good video. I have cleaned the brew group but I think something went wrong, when placed the brew group back in I heard a lot of rattling noise. I have determined that this comes from the brew group motor that keeps spinning even when the white gear is already at the top and can not go further.

Not many Z10's coming for repair? Cant seem to find any video about it
Z10 are rarely but in the end similarly structured.
@@yt.myworks Please do make one video like you did for E8. You have helped ton of people with that video and brew unit one. How to open it and so on. You would be the first one to make it.
Hi which polishing paste do you use? Mine is giving a haze on the black plastic parts... it turns greyish
You need all three stages to get good results: amzn.to/3ejPZgY
11:00 where does the black plastic peace belong to right in the mittle from your metal case.. it‘s not on video where it comes from and now I‘m stuck😂
This is the cover for the outlet hose. You can see it in minute 7:18 on the left side ;-)
thanks bro😅
For example, you can search for Jura hoses on ebay or amazon. For example like this: www.ebay.de/itm/165696558109?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=707-127634-2357-0&ssspo=-bRdEyxzScS&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=fqjNmJj7Q9S&var=&widget_ver=COPY.artemis&media=COPY
As far as I know all Jura machines have the same tube size inside 4.2mm and outside 8.2mm
Np.
8;25 ruclips.net/video/z2cnI2h4rVE/видео.htmlsi=Z1Zg7pTNdYq1qO0K
Hi from England, absolutely love this channel. I have just got a Z9 from a friend to keep so will be overhauling it with the aid of these amazing videos. Attention to detail is a lost art in today’s world.
A question please? When you soak the parts you use washing soda. What is this exactly? Dishwasher powder? Non fragrance Laundry powder? I’d like to get the UK alternative.
Well done on your work 🎉
Think I’ve answered my own question! Soda crystals? Sodium Carbonate
Hello, this is a simple washing soda from the drugstore. I've also been using Cafiza lately, the advantage is that it doesn't leave any white traces like a washing soda. Unfortunately, it costs a bit more and the cleaning is similar.
@@yt.myworks that is what I deduced 😁
I have some puly CAF but I know plastics don't like it. I think I can live with the white spots as it's only mine not a customers so all good with soda I think. Thanks for the clarification 👍🏻
I have the cafiza cleaning tablets would those dissolved also work?
My E8 drip tray has jammed in position - I think I tried to remove it too soon during operation. Is there a way to free it? Awesome video - Too much for me to tackle, though!
Had that too, best to make sure its gone through its cycle - not switched off early and the gently back and forward and it eventually comes out
I know it's been 3 weeks and you have likely remedied the situation, but... I had this happen a few weeks back.
I just turned it off and back on and placed very mild pressure on the tray pulling it forward and up.... as the start process did it's thing it just popped free.
Interisting!
i have a jura the voffee residue is dry, eventually the coffee dispensed is lite.
what could be the reason?
great video ! where you got the hose from? It is not in amazon list of things you bought I see! Can You send a link or part name/number? (hose)
as a Jura technician, i have to say this machine actually looks exceptionally clean for being in use for 6 years. I've seen machines that would give you nightmares after just 3 years
😃👍
As a Jura technician - would you buy one new? I’ve seen so many horrible pictures of the insides and stories of them being sent back to Jura prematurely. I’m hesitant of chucking 4k at one.
@@ollydearden I only have experience with jura machines so i don't know what other brands are like, but i'm not so sure anymore with the recent line-up of machines. I've been a technician for +10 years and i like the older models way more, i tend to compare them to cars : less technology, more noise but they don't break. I've seen old F models that are 14 years old and came in for service for the first time.
On the other hand the newest models do have impressive features but require perfect maintenance and usage (lots of user errors happen because customers don't know how the machine works)
So in short : i'm not a fan of the newest machines, and would probably buy an older model second hand for 1/3rd of the price. Then again i do know what to look for when looking at second hand machines but still.. Hope this helps a bit but if you have any more questions be sure to let me know
@@axoliminator I really appreciate such a detailed, honest answer. I think I’m getting swayed to proper espresso machine. I realise it’s more work - but it’s only really for two people. I’m fairly handy, but I don’t think I want to spend that money and have to tear it apart. If you think of anything else, I’d be interested. Thanks again.
@@axoliminator I'm almost sure of buying a E8 EB... You talk about "perfect use & maintance", you mean not to skip each time that the machine asks for a cleaning cycle or the cleaning after each milk drink, dont you? Thanks !
Hallo! Erst mal sehr gutes Video!
Hi, I cleaned my Jura E8 inside, and after I assembled it back, I found small spring and very small metal ball, I don't know where it came from. Can you help me please?
I think that's the spring and metal ball from the grinder. See my other video in minute 13.35 : ruclips.net/video/M8C97HNxAGk/видео.html
My machine leaks water at the y connection check valve. Can you please advise as to why?
I recommend replacing the valve pin and seals and cleaning the valve body from the inside.
Thank you from the USA. I have an E8. This was interesting.
Please , I need your help,
When I switch on my Jura f9 , the machine start but switch off directly !
Do you have any idea ?
Thanks a lot
It sounds like an electronic problem, unfortunately I can't help you further because I'm not very familiar with it :-(
I had the exact problem with my brand new Jura E 8 and I send it in and they replaced it.
You are speaking about the PCB
( electronic)?
