Such a underrated song
Tyler T it's one of their worst songs
Sherwin Fernandes nah bro it's badass. It kinda sucks live but the studio recording is dope
Sherwin Fernandes this is great song, is not like they made another st. anger song.
Killa Gaming atleast its not only snare rings.
- OzzyOB127 - what do u mean
Don't worry James, your voice will never disappear !
That’s for sure, mate!
@@unromanoarecareanaveragero8275 I'm losing my mind my friend.
cool!
The lyrics are not about that though!
Oof
James' vocals were on point in this song
Of course not. But I'm from the future to tell you that his voice got incredibly better.
@@andreylucass cringe
@@RandomPerson-ui3xv sayin cringe is even more "cringe"
@@RuiPFerreira 🍆🍑 👁👄👁
2:34 That pick slide is so cool and what precise timing too...
Nu metal bands employ a DJ to do what Papa Het does all on his own, while singing as well as playing an instrument.
@@sampadroyy papa het for a reason 😂❤
WOOOOW
That was an unexpected wow.
James voice sounded exactly like the recorded version of this song
Its called no autotune
@Luke Bargowski exactly
Not he didn't.
I wasn’t exact but so friggin Similar too the Record.
Its because he record the song in a confortable tone to his voice. In his baritone zone. In old songs he have lot of midles G and A notes who make to a baritone a very difficult zone to singing because he sings in his limit. With load and reload he started singing in a low tones, very more confurtable to his Voice 🤘🏻
someday metallica will be gone, but we will still be hear, i will listen to this song, then i will disappear
Doesn't get enough love. Should be a staple of the live shows.
The scratch in the riff in 02:34.
2:35 the pick slide was awesome!
Só quem entende sabe
Always thought that was someone scratching on a turntable in the original song lol. Had no idea it was james doing a pick slide.
He's sliding his palm not the pick if you look closely
@@marocauliano vdd kkkkkkk
Amazing!!!!
3:06 that guitar in the back sounds amazing
I Disappear.
Until The Sleeps.
Escape.
Some Kind Of Monster.
Of Wolf And Man.
The Devil's Dance.
Best Underrated Metallica Songs.
I'd add Unforgiven 2 to that as well glad to see you mentioned of wolf and man and until it sleeps 2 of my faves
I agree, and the unnamed feeling, I am very sorry that even though they criticize Lars and James a lot, the version is still spectacular, very underrated for me, very representative
I even miss jason's "HEY HEY" at the beginning of each part !
When the hell did Anthony Hopkins start playing drums in Metallica? {O.O}
lol :D
😂
LMFAOOOOO
Shit woke up my daughter bursting into laughter lol
Good to see you Clarice!
Weirdly this is the song that got me into Metallica back when it came out. After that I was hooked
Love this song
I became more of a fan because of the song
Same
always in my top 5 Metallica songs. They should play this more regularly 😭
100% agree. it was one of the first 'Tallica songs I heard
maybe that because you´re not into thrash metal, but most metallica fans are and the first 4 albums are the best.
this is probably the cleanest double bass Lars has played live, love him
I love metallica bro james hetfield is such a legend been following them since 2008 love emmmm
Metallica are riff gods every song they do has got a hidden gem
2 people who unliked this are sick! and yes, James sounds so fucking great!
My God... I haven't heard this song sound so good since... well, since the single came out, actually. James' voice is outstandingly good!
I ask my self! How in the heck do you come up with this music. It is genius
This is the first 'Tallica song I ever heard when I was 4 years and used to watch MTV with my aunt. If I'll be lucky enough to see it live some day, I think I'm gonna cry LOL
It's a totally underrated song, very enigmatic. The bluffs, thick heavy dark clouds, thick mist, thick trees. That's where I first heard it.
This is awesome!!!!! They should play this song live more often !
Wow that was just like the original. I haven't kept up video by video but by far one of the best live performance. So glad they are playing it at 'normal' speed and tune now (lately they felt sped up and in a weird tune). I guess it was to compliment James' voice but now that it's back they can play the songs as they were written and they sound awesome.
Simply amazing.
Lars awesome at 4:03! :)
Beautiful double bass. Lars is amazing
Fuck all the people who say he is a bad drummer, because he’s not! The songs “Damage Inc” and “Hate Train (from the Beyond Magnetic EP)” convinced me of that!
Why does It matter how Lars looks like while playing? All drummers make faces while they play. That's how they show they have passion for what they do! Drummers faces while playing may not be the most attractive, but It shows they love what they do. Who would want a straight faced drummer playing the song, but no emotion? Nobody.
I love this song. One of my favorite Metallica songs
james sounds fantastic and looks healthy.
this is a top 5 song of the 90's era metallica
Alan Lloyd top 5 worst* songs
This is from 2000 (also the year I was born). And I think it's a good song.
Sherwin Fernandes what a loser
James looks 20 years younger than he did in 2006 here
He dyed his hair in 2011 I think
You'd better love em' while they're here! 🤘😈
@@villager6738 He dyed it in 2008
The rest of the band looks like they always have. But James can do something different with his hair and is literally a different person.
Now he looks old as shit these days
I'm gonna say it. Crucify me if you will, but James voice on Load is my personal favorite, and this sounds a lot like he did then. I love it
A Very Good Metallica Song IMO.
They need this played live more often, such a badass song
Most underrated Metallica song.
But more underrated are the songs they’ve never played live.
@@unromanoarecareanaveragero8275 True, half Load, half Reload and 95% of St. Anger. I love those albums, they've never played those albums live.
Most stupid use of "underrated" word
this beats James' performance from 2004 and 2011
THE SAME VOICE OF STUDIO VERSION, THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!
talk about a trip down memory lane. love this song!
why can't james' voice be this good all the damn time... sheesh he was nice here especially at the end.
One of Metallicas best tracks
Hey METALLICA! Please record whole album in this style!!!
One of my favorites.. Papa Het's voice is absolutely amazing and even sounds so the same in album. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘
Its 2020 and I still miss Jason.
Same. He was the Metal from Lica.
Get over it
2022
His voice is back!
I was at this concert!!!!!! They also played Carpe Diem Baby surprises that night
Literally sounds like the track but with a heavier bass and more energy. Metallica should do a remastered album with their hit singles.
They need to play this again
THE DOUBLE BASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
James old voice back? FUCKIN'G AMAZING
I'm glad it's not. His old singing style was causing him a lot of problems. Even now with the correct technique he struggles sometimes, all because of previous injurjes. I agree that it sounded cool, but his modern voice sounds cool to, more deep and established!
Underrated song for sure, too much hate I see for this song. Its really cool song, period.
WELCOME BACK METALLICAAAAAAAA
i've said this before but james is getting his ''old'' voice back step by step and i'm lovin it
My heros I’m finally gonna go see them next year in May, It’s surreal.
Wooooooooo.......metallica
You guys ROCK AND ROLL OUT OF THE WORLD you r my favorite Rock band and badass song
I CANT WAIT FOR METALLICA TO COME TO CHICAGO!
It's 2017 and I still miss Jason
All hail the Newkid.
we all do...I was lucky enough to see him live with Metallica three times in the early nineties...he always gave everything he had...he was incredible live...
Sucks people didn't care for him while he was in the band. All people did was trash him for not being Cliff but now that he's gone, now motherfuckers wanna talk about how great he was.
yeah was thinking the same. robs pretty poor vocally here
Better you miss Cliff Burton.
Play this live more often! Awesome song that's awesome live, you may think that fans only want to hear 80s and early 90s music, but you'd be surprised! When I saw you in 2011, the people i was with were like "gutted they didn't play I Disappear, The Day That Never Comes, King Nothing, The Unforgiven II, Frantic, etc." Fans want to hear more than just 80s and early 90s stuff like, so please play some of the more recent hits, there's demand for them!
MetallicA owns all, and with this show they once proved again HOW MUCH THEY RULE THE WORLD!!!
beast mode!
James voice was awesome here
Best performance of this song I've in net🤟🤟🤟 hey hey hey🤟
all jesting aside .. it is not important how "hard" the song is here.. its just about having fun at this moment on the show ^^ but ur right they should make some crazy riffs on their next album!
My favorite Metallica song ever!
One of my favorite Metallica's songs, despite of being unpopular
I love metallica
I don't know why or how, but James' voice seems to be getting better lately. It's not perfect, but it's way better.
yet another song from the catalog that is both underrated and not played enough live
Such a tune
return Once again METALLICA¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Love reading you guys comment on all these vids. From one day to the other is contradictory. James is awesome!! The voice is back! Now I read he is old and can't sing.
Man...These RUclips videos really do not do justice to just how amazing they are live...

This was the first metallica song I heard. Still sounds good
Such a badass song that never gets played anymore
Nailed it ... Metallica 4 Life lml
Oh god, James got his 99' voice back !
I have always loved that song ! It's total bad ass !!!!
is it my impression or does every song have a comment saying it is the most underrated song?
yeah James we love surprises maaaan!!
I wish they would still play this live :(
Just as soon as I belong, then it's time I dissappear!
James sounds much better than the record.. Oh god I really love his Papa Het form.

0:57 James you rock even dancing man!
During the Madly In Anger with the World tour in 2004-2005 they would do this super soft, intro with the wailing guitar part that Kirk plays during the "Do you bury me when I'm gone..." part and it sounds soo epic!
James' voice is great!
Excellent vocals James
I love that little fist pump Lars always does after finishing this song! 😛✊️
LOVE IS ALL METALLICA, HELLO FROM BRASIL! COME TO HERE!!!!
That double base at the end !
epic playing/singing technique! 3:07
Best song of all times
Two words : F*cking AWESOME !!!!!!!
think the guitar sounds so dry compared to past shows , even so I still love them
awesome song
The kirk's solo is 110% jimmy hendrix style.
Ad Scientia there is no solo in this song 😂
@@skyenorwood3120 There is
He was studying blues in the 90s a lot and it shows
Nathan Norwood what do you consider 3:29 - 3:45?
Nathan Norwood dumbass
yeeaahhhh metallica.....lo mejor de lo mejor
James sings so damn well
I like his vocals, but believe me he doesnt sing good
Every song on the Black Album disagrees 😝
I'm curious to know how Kirk achieves the feedbacky sound during the "do you bury me when I'm gone" part (specifically just before the solo and immediately after it)
not sure but i think it's natural harmonics while tremolo picking
Been listening to it again and I think he's using a wah pedal too
