- Steamtown NHS held the first train to Carbondale this year for the Carbondale Spring Market. For the first trip to Carbondale, Steamtown's 0-6-0 Baldwin Locomotive Works #26 headed the train to Carbondale and back. She performed great hauling the excursion along the Carbondale/former D&H line. Another great show for #26!
I was on the train ❤️ thank you for posting it
OH MY GOD!! At first I thought Baldwin 26 was using the whistle from my favorite locomotive (CN 3254), but the whistle actually belongs to its cousin, CN 3377 LOL. I'm glad Steamtown is using whistles from locomotives that are not operational!!!
That must be the 5 chime on 26. Sounds like GTW 4070!
If you are Wondering the whistle is a 5 chime from when the first got 26 they put a hooter back on now so there is your answer.
is that 3254's whistle?!
No (unfortunately/fortunately) the whistle belonged to her cousin, CN 3377. As far as I know, the whistle hasn't sounded since 1998 when 3254 used it on the tour in July of that year
I think the engineer should shut the bell off.
They always let the bell ring the entire time they’re running. I don’t think I’ve seen them run it hard without the bell on
@@sebassegiel2675 I wonder why? I'd rather hear the locomotive's' exhaust.
