I came here on 27th march ... trust me last one month was horrific .. on the first day, the officer was not in good mood and she gave e only 6 months of study permit as per that I am not eligible to work till I get a work permit, on the same day, when I entered federal hotel they charged me $1300 and only had that much cash. on the 7th day in my college quarantine, my phone turned off and didn't turn on all ways to connect with others. on the 8th day, at 4:20 am a random person knocked on my door and luckily I put the latch on the door. Otherwise, anything could have had with me. and when I called reception they said they are not liable to anything. on the very next day, somebody tried to unlock the door at 2:40am ..

Sorry, I disagree with this video.
Firstly, instead the Title should be "Challenges you need to face before moving to Canada" The Dark side of Canada is a sort of demotivating. Just a thought!
Secondly, "not getting job for monthssss 6 monthss..!!!!!" -- that's NOT TRUE.
I got job within a week!! You need to have survival jobs. Simple
If you are lazy, easily get homesick/lonely, don't want to leave comfort zone, don't want to do hard work -- Canada is not for you SIMPLE.
As a NRI I can say the biggest benefit living in Canada is - there is a sense of safety and serenity that few other countries can match.
I work here as a receptionist. I landed in CA and within a week I got job , also I'm not a skill person.
I started applying for jobs when I was in India. 👍🏻
Some things to be understand here: ✔️
      - if you coming to Ca, make this thing clear in your mind that you won't be getting that job or same position work -- that you have been doing in your home country.
      - If you don't have Canadian education or work experience..don't expect jobs get to u easily.
      - You can have survival jobs in CA for time being...like be a waiter, cashier, driver, cleaner, dishwasher, food delivery jobs ...!! Learn to say YES. Whatever job u get. Then after some savings, do some short term course. You will get your desired job.
      - Build contacts.
      - don't give up! 🎉 All the best to everyone & welcome to Canada. 👍🏻
People who are leaving this nation due to -- Lack of maturity, lack of interest and lack of self confidence made them to take this decision. It's totally up to u, you must know that everything takes time. You need to survive and go through with every single situation, then you can get success man. Hard work pays off!!
Like most Western countries, it is expensive but at the end of the day, the CAD dollar has good buying power against Indian currency - You can fulfil your needs + meaning you can still help the family back home tremendously and in life changing ways for them whilst building a good, peaceful, safe and serene place for yourself and your immediate family.

They need to be very very careful about their physical as well as mental health.

Flunked out of University in 3rd year. Lost his job and credit. He was suffering since high school but we never knew that he was really sick. We thought he is just depressed and will be fine one day..unfortunately we lost him at a very young age of 29 due to suicide.😫😢😭😭 last year.

I really appreciate you for talking about these things on a bigger platform. I'd also like to suggest you to talk about professional help related to mental health issues available for international students in Canada, because I feel that not everyone can go on with a lil help from family and friends. Sometimes people need professional help and there's nothing wrong in seeking a therapist or a counselor.
Apart from this, Your way of explaining topics with clear and sensible words is praise worthy. I specially want to point out the "apnapan" in your style of elucidating important things for students.
Keep up the great work! Best of luck.

@Skapk • 22 years ago If you're an average student and planning to get a full time field job after studies, then I won't recommend UK. To be frank, out of 100 students in UK, only 10 get the proper field job and others have to struggle. So the success rate is as low as 10-15%. You should be exceptional to be in that bunch. I'm telling you all this considering 2 yr stay back in UK and previously it was more worse.

This is one of the fewest videos I can't stop myself from commenting.
First of all, being a relegious student of Psychology, I am thankful of Mr. Parul for talking about it.
I personally want to humbly request, start meditating. It is nothing complex, but just like sitting with oneself, talking with oneself like the way you would have talked to your best friend.
Its good if you find someone else, but with my personal experience of 8 years of Solitude, i would say that do not depend on anyone else but yourself.
There will be no relation as yours with yourself.
And for the difficult times, always imagine the heroes you have always looked upto. This is the time YOU become hero in real life.
When tired, try to think of your Mother who had worked without vacation. Even worked more on vacations. You are her child, beloved child, you will do it.
And lastly, focus less on what you are going through, rather focus on what you are going to!!

I've lived in Mumbai during my Engineering days and have been in similar situations as an Undergraduate student. Although I lived in 2 hostels, but I used to cook my own dinner on weekends because both my hostels didn't provide me dinner and cleaned my room in the former hostel because of an inefficient worker, but now I realise that it made me prepared for challenges in life. :)
I also chose to stay away from people who are dangerous and toxic for my well being and I developed that self control and the art of saying "NO" to things which put you down. Meanwhile, I networked extensively and always observed people and some of them are now really close confidants!
Although it wasn't an easy journey and my partner inspired me to never give up, I always feel that I became stronger in that set up.
I ain't braggin' about myself but I feel positive about my ability to adapt to circumstances now.

Hi this had happen to me
Coming to canada with a wrong course which was out of my field given by my agent. And I continue that course till 4 semester it was so stressful. I was totally drained and couldn’t change it as fees were already paid so I did this to myself until the college suspended me from the course because of not having a good academic standing and after spending 33000 dollars to my course I didn’t graduate and I have to come back to india....the thing which I regret the most is if I had talked with someone in my family or someone who could guide me then things could be different today...this incident has broke me inside out..even though I started a new life in India currently working a reputed company I feel like a failure. Also I lost all the respect in my family 😭
So please guys talk to someone and don’t take course just for a sake of coming to canada...please...

I am from Delhi. Every point you listed out in this video, I have lived through that when I moved to Mumbai for my college. I lived in Mumbai for 8 years and got my first job there, but I have had this feeling of being alone at one point, doing chores, Sunday's dedicated to sorting laundry.
I think I am ready for Canada now.

It’s normal once you leave your mama’s lap. Indians don’t train their kids to live as an adult. Parents promise protection and over watch their kids until they die. Pretty bad ideology.

Though I am 30 and planning to move to Canada for my MBA, your thoughts are relatable to me as well. Keep up the good work.
