In 2014 I spoke to a man in bus, he was limping and had to go for a hip surgery, he said he was waiting in line for the surgery, so i wished him all the best and a quick recovery after the surgery. In 2016, I saw the same man in another bus, and he was still limping, when i asked him about his condition, he said he is still waiting for his number, thats the health care system for you. In Canada, if you are young and have no immediate requiremnt for doctors and medical procedures, you will be fine. However, if you have any medical condition that needs regular care, do not come here, staying in India is the best if you can do it in private and if it doesn't cost tons of money. I landed in Vancouver in 2019, after 5 months I caught fungal infection. So I went to the nearest walk-in clinic like everyone but my problem kept increasing even after visiting different Drs; 5-6 times. By that time I had started loosing my hair to alopecia. Not even specialist could help. Later I was referred to allergist and I got appointment after 6 months by that time I was in deep depression. To conclude, I suffered for a year and half but nothing worked. Finally in that painful situation I flew back to India for the treatment.
I also got infection i was suffring for almost 2 months and then i visited a local pharmacy in Abbotsford he gave me a cream and it worked for me well. Maybe if you ever face that kind of problem you should try in small towns than mega cities.
actually i had the same problem in india and i went to a homeopathy clinic and i waited for 5 mins (that too bcz there was a patient before me) and as the infection was at early stage it got cured just in 1 month . so yes india's health care is good but this happens here also like there was a private hospital near my house and in that hospital a patient died but the hospital did not informed the patient's family and charged them for his treatment for days . so if u have a small infection of any injury or disease then its ok but if u have to go for surgery in a private hospital then u may have to spend too much money , the money may be less then what u spend in canada but remember the earnings in canada is very high than in india

I have kidney stones in my both kidneys. A month ago i had a bad experience with stone pain. I called emergency and i was in hospital for 6 hours just to listen that i have stones in my both kidneys. By the time they gave me Advil injection, I almost fainted with pain.
I can relate with your experience and can share examples of friends who share the same experience with the health care system here. I have had a bad personal experience here as well when my father was here on a visitor visa and I lost him.
My PR application is in progress and now I regret why I opted this country... Health care is a necessity and if it's this bad there don't know why Canada was rated as the best country 😠😠😠
I have still strong plan to do my masters in canada but i think this neglected scene will increase day by day bcoz every year Thousands of people are shifting there. None of Native Canadian will treat a brown or black skinned one as a human being. Govt is taking immegrants but common people didn't want to share their country at all.
In this concern India is 1000 times better Last year my friend had a small road accident . I picked him got to the hospital they first took him in The Room and provided treatment & within 5 minutes he was Ok and during this time they send me to bill counter where they only charged Rs 20 . However we purchased some medicines when we left the hospital at other cost. & Yes it was a government hospital.
I laughed the whole time hearing your story. I had a very similar experience at Verdun hospital when I suffered from kidney stone. They ignored me for 5 hours and by then the pain had completely subsided by itself. :D
@@Dafodil-x9o My personal opinion and advice for well off Indians with a paid off home in India is not to move to Canada. My honest advice would be that if you have a good comfortable life in India then best to stay in India instead of moving to Canada. When I say good comfortable life I mean if you have a paid off residence (very big this as this is the biggest expense) then you are already better off because housing is really very expensive in Toronto, Vancouver and such cities where people like to live. The government of Canada makes a LOT of money from India's international students from their tuition payments, their rent payment, everyday expenses such as groceries, transportation and luxury expenses. Still, those students, most of them never reach the level of career growth and prosperity for which them or their parents or both sacrificed so much money and family life. When Canada comes to India to promote it's education to Indians then India should ask them hey we are going to be boosting your economy by many folds so what are you going to offer in return to us- guaranteed careers/jobs atleast to make it worth while? - Progressing at work place is not easy because most Indian immigrant will find it hard to relate and identify with the culture and managers like to promote those who fit in and can relate well with the culture so many a times promotion and progress is not easy. - One decision that I don't agree with of current government is that it has legalized marijuana drug, so people can buy it and the government can make money, but the safety of people has been compromised, not only physical but mental health as well. -For many winters are depressing as not only is it long and COLD but when it snows roads get slippery and it is risky to be on the road so people usually stay indoors unless it is very important to be out. Cold goes from Sept-May (inclusive) so quite a lot of people suffer from SAD. So true. My experience has been so horrible regarding medical here. 1. In montreal, as a student, till 7 months, the hospital people didn't give me any medicine, saying that it's not an emergency. In the 8th month, I cried on call, then they somehow subscribed. 2. Now in Ontario, I was terribly down with fever last month, I went to hospital barely able to walk, after 5 hours , the nurse came and noted my name. They checked my temperature, saying weather changes cause fever. Please don't come to hospital unless emergency. I was given no medication.
I just commented about what experience I had and it is nothing compared to what happened to my friend. She fell getting down from a bus in January.( A lot of people fall in winter due to the ice) So she fell and her knee was dislocated and we took her to the nearest hospital. The pain was just unbearable and she was crying badly. The staff told her that she cannot get priority so she had to wait for 5 hours and did not even get her a painkiller. We thought this is because of her being a student but after seeing this video I get it. So we had to bring her home and get her treated through a desi doctor.
This neglecting Canadian medical staff should be beaten with a baseball bat severely, so that they can experience hospital from the view of a patient! They deserve pain! Too much about discrimination of Indians in Canada! Always take baseball bat, when going to hospital emergency!
True I can totally relate it. I have a cyst in my back which grows inside of my body and it's been a year they haven't treated me so I have to visit India soon
Nice eye opening video.......please make a separate video on recent quarantine rules, expenses and fines against any violations etc. Should be mighty helpful for new arrivals. Thanks
I also had a bad experience. I was a student in Toronto and during work, i burned myself at work. I rushed to the hospital and same scene at mount sinai hospital. I was sitting there for about 1 hour and then they gave me a form to fill. I was like are you kidding me mera bc idhr hath jall gya mai uss se form likhu.. i got treatment after 2 hours and they just put some ointment like colgate.. and send me home... then they bill me $800 for that. Luckily my treatment was covered by WSIB, but that’s another long story how i get my claim settled.
This explains why lot of people who move from US to Canada on PR leave Canada and say they would better work on visa in US. Overall, Canada UK Aus NZ that have free healthcare are screwed. I had a fracture in US once, ambulance came in 2 minutes, reached hospital in less than 5 minutes. X-ray done in next half an hour and doctor came immediately. Since I had taken food 2 hour back, they waited for another 5 hours as they couldn’t give me anesthesia. But immediately they gave me morphine and all pain was gone. I At that time I didn’t had my insurance card or any money with me, but they operated on me without checking anything that I can pay for it or not. I had 4 surgeries in US, always painless. I live in Canada now and shiver to think about healthcare mess here
People don't appreciate when they get easy, cheap and readily available healthcare in India. They're just blindfolded by the rhetoric "Western Countries are Perfect". Thanks for highlighting this veere! 🙏🏻
I had severe mushroom poisoning in 2019 September, went to Humber river hospital in Toronto, till 5 hours nobody was looking at me. I was on wheelchair dragging myself but no nurse would even look at me. They just put syringes on my hand and made me sit again for another hour, total 6 hrs now, then finally I got angry. I said Eh Sara taam jaam lao te mai chali jana bahar etho, marna hi hai te bahar jaake maraangi. I will not wait anymore, then they took me to another room and said u will get treatment, then again I got treatment after 1 hour. There is no value of life here also, India nu jinni marzi gaalan dedo, Canada koi heaven nai haiga. Hospital nark barabar in whole Canada.
Yes, agree with parul, I got severe frost bite in my hand last winter..the condition was such bad, it felt like partial paralysis. I went to hospital in montreal, first they made me wait for 3 hours straight and then said they will charge 1500 CAD which considering that you are a student is big amount, even though i had health insurance.

My God!!! Yaar, how horrible your experience was of Kidney stone pain. I can relate to that as I had a similar experience, way back in 1995, but luckily in India but while travelling from Delhi to Bhopal in a night. All the more, luckily, it was 2nd AC, and the person occupying below berth happened to be a doctor, who gave me a pain killer injection, FOC of course, then I could heave a sigh of relief.
bro same thing happen with me I went to the emergence ward of jewish general hospital where i waited for 14 straight hours in the waiting room, i have cracks in my finger
It’s an eye- opener. Brother I was so confused if I should file for my visa coz I received offer letters from multiple colleges. After watching your video, Ek gane ki line yad aa gyi “Sare jahan se acha, hindustan hmara.”
Get insured. That's not pretty expensive in India. Rs. 15000/ or less for a family of four for a year and that too with 6-10 lacs SI. That is enough to cover any major problem.
Specialist appointment is minimum one year wait....if you are lucky....yes incase of pain they careless.....5 to 6 hours wait is normal even in emergencies..
At first I thought it was worth settling in Canada. But after i got to know that cons like these are more than pros needed during my research on Canada.. I dropped my plan( Again it's for myself). One point I want to put in this context is that.. Again Canada started giving away Mass number of PRs from recent times & already the ER doctors available are not sufficient.. alongside this Mass influx new PRs will push the wait times further back, house prices cross the sky high as they are now, reach space high.... Ratio of persons living in cities vs countryside's, villages is too bad, may effect the future generations in any side( may be Canada may become another country to depend entirely on processed foods that's horrible to even imagine that situation for that land of beauty)...........list goes like that I personally believe Canada has to introduce a separate PR stream to attract more professional doctors, hike their salaries and pay for overtime... Like that One option I would suggest for anyone is that, if you know you have a chronic ailment know in prior better come to India get it done and fly off... But again if its a sudden one, be ready for a hell of ride my friend... In fact I've been long waiting for such a vedio on healthcare to get exposed out by anyone to those who would be thinking that healthcare is very efficient in Canada .. Nice job parul bro. Love your Content, vedio making Everytime.
The health care system in Canada is surely lacking some basic provisions but India is the same.. You pay first then you can go and meet the doctors. If you don’t have money then you are dead in India. So many people who lives on streets go to public hospitals for their treatment where they are just sitting and waiting for the doctors to attend..I personally visited one hospital and was shocked seeing many patients sleeping on the floor including small children with a saline in their hand just coz there was no beds. Canada is at-least giving fair treatment to everyone regardless of their income, race, or any political connections.

Quick question then....Canada healthcare care is so bad why live here? Why not the US where basic healthcare is tied to employment or India if they have such better healthcare
@@danielli9569 The system is set up so all people rich or poor get access to the same treatment. It’s really sad that immigrants like princess, are all about themselves and not loving Canada. She should run back to India. I’ll pay her ticket cause there are rich Canadians
Sharn Sran lol very bad healthcare here because you had to wait. If you had to wait for 6 hours it’s because there were people sicker then you. Please move to the US you can pay to get the front of the line
Thanks for highlighting this Parul.. I thought its super smooth there! But I'll be cautious.. I indeed respect Indian medical system now, in spite of the huge population, we don't have any waiting time here.
Lol the thing that people dont get is. Its free so that even poor people can afford and get the same treatment. Yes the wait time is long, if you live here you get the same level of treatment as a rich person. Whereas in southasian countries, its the poor that suffer. You want elitist treatment like bollywood movies then this isnt a place for you.
During my maternity time my first visit to gynecologist was around 3 months . You need Referals to visit them . Imagine if u have any emergency go to walk in clinic and even there u have to wait there for atleast 2 hrs . This what free / pay with tax get you . Even private insurance don’t cover much first u have to pay primium every month and if u go to doctor there is co pay upfront and later whatever is not covered by insurance comes out of ur pocket . Which if u think paying every month and still pay well bhagwan bachaye. One more thing it’s very hard to find a regular family doctor here who u can make appointment with to see to save time if u can go for it save lot of time but make sure they don’t work in walk in clinic.
I have shifted from Montreal to Alberta. The health system is better here . We can go to walk in clinics easily during this covid period also. I have also struggled for my Son's treatment in Montreal but it is better here. Atleast here you can go to the doctor directly and ask him to advise blood test that you want for yourself.

To conclude, I suffered for a year and half but nothing worked. Finally in that painful situation I flew back to India for the treatment.
Hope you recovered from the issue! How’s it going ?
@@ParulTV Yes, I did recover from it. Thanks🙏😊
Hope you complain about India's drs appearing late for half hour, tests r expensive , balbaa nowon

Basically:
- Winters are harsh, -30/-35 winters and some regions even colder :(
- Long wait in emergency room of hospital even when in crying pain and appointments for MRI, CT & surgeries very long because of shortage of doctors and nurses and medical professionals. They have well trained well educated and experience immigrant doctors driving cabs, working factories, odd jobs, survival jobs, jobs unrelated to their study and jobs of their passion and caliber BUT they won't have those doctors and nurses easily licenses to practice.😡
- Generally expensive life and accommodation,
- No help like you get in India, doing all work yourself like dish washing, laundry, cleaning etc, life is struggle..
- International students pay about 3-4 times more than locals and at they end they never really get the returns.
In the past and these days too a lot of well to do Indians and professionals went to Canada and lived and are living a life of struggle. Doctors, Engineers worked survival jobs and jobs not up-to their caliber to support family and survive.
India's economy has been open and growing throughout this COVID pandemic.
The above was just my personal opinion and advice ONLY for well off Indians with a paid off home in India living a comfortably good life.
In general, once again I think that life is short so live where you feel happy. In life it is import for a happy life that your place of permanent residence, your work and your spouse are choices that you feel happy with otherwise you regret at the end.

She fell getting down from a bus in January.( A lot of people fall in winter due to the ice)
So she fell and her knee was dislocated and we took her to the nearest hospital.
Parul swaad aa gaya. Keep it up.

I
At that time I didn’t had my insurance card or any money with me, but they operated on me without checking anything that I can pay for it or not. I had 4 surgeries in US, always painless. I live in Canada now and shiver to think about healthcare mess here
People don't appreciate when they get easy, cheap and readily available healthcare in India. They're just blindfolded by the rhetoric "Western Countries are Perfect".

100% Agree.
I remember Mukesh Singer got attack in Canada and got no treatment due to Sunday.
Indian medical system is also very expensive if we consider the earnings in rupees including dental and vision
Get insured. That's not pretty expensive in India. Rs. 15000/ or less for a family of four for a year and that too with 6-10 lacs SI. That is enough to cover any major problem.
Itna b expensive nhi
Ratio of persons living in cities vs countryside's, villages is too bad, may effect the future generations in any side( may be Canada may become another country to depend entirely on processed foods that's horrible to even imagine that situation for that land of beauty)...........list goes like that
I personally believe Canada has to introduce a separate PR stream to attract more professional doctors, hike their salaries and pay for overtime... Like that
One option I would suggest for anyone is that, if you know you have a chronic ailment know in prior better come to India get it done and fly off...
