One of my favorite things about Morrowind is that you go from barely being able to jump an inch at the beginning to eventually being able to fly across the entire island.
Always, ALWAYS put acrobatics and athletics as misc. skills because as minor and major you're gonna just end up hurting/killing yourself because you can level those skills up so easily before you can match with magicka or health. I love Morrowind and all its broken-ness. No sarcasm at all, I really do.
@@TechnicolorMammothI usually do that so that if Im in a position where I'd get a suboptimal level, I can jump in a circle for a couple minutes and get an easy +5 to strength.
even without the Scroll of Icarian "Oops forgot my Slowfall/1pt Levitate spell at home", with Acrobatics 100 and low encumberance you can pretty much jump to the top of Ebonheart's towers from their nearest ground level. Reminds me of that Samurai Jack episode. "I no fly. Jump good!"
That "jumping on water" feature for me always was the coolest sign of your character's power in Oblivion. Nothing beats that sense when you glide over a smooth surface of the lake with measured jumps.
@@JovialHeretic you could in Oblivion too, just enchant something with waterwalking. In Skyrim there is only one item that has waterwalking on it and it's a dlc item and you can't disenchant it either :'(
@@JovialHereticYou can make a custom spell in Oblivion that boosts the shit out of your Speed stat/Acrobatics and sends you flying off into space. Or run so fast you cross the map faster than you could by using fast-travel.

That's so accurate. Acrobatics in Oblivion literally lets you ignore the laws of physics. And by the way - Doofz, come on man, when are you going to give us the next masterpiece from "experience" edition? The last one was Tribunal Experience and we badly need more!
How do you achieve flying above the map with one jump like I see it in many videos? Besides max Athletics, Acrobatics and Speed? Enchant armor with which stat? What spell do you make for super high and long jumps?
Yes I remember I made also a special spell 100%featers/100%acrobat for bruma gate with also spell "run away without looking back" 100%featers/100%fast so I made the gate in 2,30 min! I think my enemies mistake me for Alpine ibex under drugs
**waves goodbye to horse below as I fly overhead at mach, powered only by humanoid calves, landing miles away with a bloody splat that I walk off like a chad**
Jumping in Morrowind can get to the point that you travel an entirely inconvenient distance when just trying to get over small obstacles, to the point that putting permanent levitation on an amulet just ends up less of a hassle.
Ha, Morrowind changed how I played games forever. I leveled my acrobatics by jumping literally everywhere in Morrowind and it's a habit that still comes back to me even in games it has no place in. "Okay, now we need to carefully sneak... HEY! _Jumping_ does not count as _Sneaking!_ We've been seen! Run for it! :MISSION FAILED:"
I distinctly remember taking jumping detours up every staircase in Balmora to hurl myself off the rooftops and break my legs so I could train both Acrobatics and Restoration.
game developers just don't understand that fandom loves broken builds that can make us live our power-fantasy, they prefer to patch out cool stuff. Also, music was half the charm.
acrobatics in skyrim look basically like that skeletor in daggerfall, Just use your horse, is way more efficient. you might, however, need a new horse per-attempt
Gah, I miss the wacky stuff you could do with Skills in Daggerfall. Being able to climb literally anything and max out your running and jump skill to literally leap over enemies was hilarious
Hot take: the crappy jump on water feature in Oblivion was nowhere near worth losing the height and speed of Morrowind jumps plus the jump, levitate, slowfall and teleportation spells. All just because of Bethesda laziness wanting interior "city" cells for their village sized "cities"
Is it really max level? You can cheese the leveling system by picking major skills you'll never use, level every minor skill to the max. Now you have max level skills one a level one character. One could argue that you got no magicka to cast. For that, there is a glitch that tricks the game that you have an enchanted item on, but in reality, you don't. Happens when you dupe 1 extra of the enchanted item. Equip one of them. Try the dupe the one that isn't equipped. And now the game tries to force unequip that enchanted item, but instead it bugs out and you retain the enchantment's effect while still being able to equip in that slot. This can be used to cheese the Gladiator arena by doing this glitch to the arena armor. Now the game thinks that you have the armor on, but can freely equip anything else you want.
@@proximityclockworkx1572 true... Oblivion had a really f*cked up levelling system. Basicly it's unplayable if you are playing it like other rpgs (play as your class). But you know what I meant to.
