This was a GREAT video! Thank you so much for all the detail. It is our first Summer opening up the pool. It took a while to find a video that was worth watching.....I found it!
It's dirty inside and cartridge must be cleaned... indicator on top of top release valve yellow when dirty. Simply: drain dirt clean cartridge, drain with sediment valve. Replace lid an cartridge then turn on. Boom. You'll lose about 2-3 inch of waters. Refill with hose.
He said to make sure the water is flowing from the upper valve into the pool. I think i have mine crossed up. I thought the water would suck into the upper (strainer basket) which i have hooked up to the filer housing and the lower hose is where the water flow out. I haven't turned anything on yet, can someone give me clearer instructions? Thanks
i have the same pump on my pull, and it can take all kinds of weather. note. please take off in the winter and store in your basement or garage and winterize your pool every yr

Watched this hoping to find out what the 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 numbers are for on the dial. But nope. Skipped that part.
I'm sure you figured this out by now but it's a timer.

Is it necessary to cover this type of pump to keep it out of the elements, or is it sealed against rain?
