Hi there, I snipped pictures of your video and printed, so I could work from them and my notes. It has turned out really well. I put some iron on wadding on the lining piece which gives my fabric more body. One thing I forgot to do, was to measure my Travel handbag which this is for - so this insert is a bit short. That's fine, I have time to make another before we go away. Thanks again for a simple project. LL

Thanks for the video. I agree with Nancy. It would be easier to follow if the different pieces were in different/contrasting colours. I might re-watch it and try it, but will look out for a video using different colours. LL

@@morningdiy after actually starting to make it I realized that the tutorial should have been more clear about which side of fabric should be facing. I'm using a fabric that CLEARLY has a wrong and right side, and during making of outside pockets around 5:30 I actually used the wrong side of the fabric for the wider piece.
Also when assembling the outside and inside parts at around 13:37 it wasn't clear whether the sidewith the wider pocket on the outside should be matching the inside with the separated pocket or the one with wider pocket. Since the thread is very visible in the video it's hard to tell.
I'm not too heartbroken about it, I'm a beginner and it's my first piece and picked a video I thought looked easy to follow along. I guess I didn't know what I didn't know 😅
      Still a great pattern tho

I would recommend you to follow general principles of sewing. The first one is placing right side together and the second is sewing open the wrong side. Thank you for your comment. It really helps us to make an improve on next videos💖

@@morningdiy I think facing the right sides together was what I did when attaching the pocket to the main fabric but the main fabric was supposed to be pretty side out just like the pockets. But thank you 🙂

I was able to make this organizer for a friend and she really likes it. It would be wonderful if you could create a PDF file to download so it would be easier to follow the directions. I have a hard time doing it while watching a video. It went together so easy and your instructions were very clear. I would like to make it again but the thought of having to watch the video over and over to catch each step is tedious. I also agree with one commenter, that it owuld be better if the fabrics were differewnt colors to amke it easier to tell which piece is which.

Where does it say to leave an opening to turn it inside out. I realized when I was sewing the two parts together and just left and opening in the top and closed it with the top stitching. I think I can make another with just the measurements. pretty straight forward.

Good design. I tried to make it, but was not successful. I somehow messed up which way the folding went and the lining/pocket part was too big at the final assembly part. I had a hard time following which of your pieces I was looking at since the measurements are so close to being the same. Even after watching and re-watching and re-watching, I messed it up. I'm disappointed in myself.
