Unfortunately, it seems to me that it's taken less lightly just because he wasn't hit and also just because it's hbox. Aside from that, it is getting compared to sexual harassers in the community which is just a complete different discussion, although I do understand why people are frustrated about it. Hbox says he was able to laugh it off, won't be taking legal action, and is receiving the craziest sub train on his stream right now having an amazing time so i think it's okay.

Maryland is known for crabs / seafood, I don't remember if there was a seafood restaurant in the venue (Don't think there was) but bag checks were a literal joke so you couldve brought a lot of things in tbh, prob just walked in with a crab no biggie
Apparently it was other guys walking around with it as a joke and they left it on a chair, which the culprit then found and used. I think if you go through TKBreezys twitter you can find a picture of it in a chair.

@@apafrog Well, he wasn't crying. If that crab had hit him, the hit would have been hard, and he did nothing for someone to throw something at him, so it was right for him to be mad. He had to reset Mango's bracket, and that isn't easy at all, so he definitely worked hard to win. And he was being careful to not hit anybody with the crab, so if you were also worried that he was going to hit someone with it, well, the video shows that nobody was going to get hit, other than HBox.
It's funny that the TOs said that the crab thrower was "banned" from future tournaments when he showed up to a Xanadu later that year with the tag, "Mr. K" for Mr. Krabs and got to play.

Funny enough, that crab was a blessing in disguise. He won the tournament and been getting a long sub train and donations all from this.
He deserves it, honestly. We don't often get to see the actual hate that is leveled towards him, so when it is shown right in front of us, it's hard to put it all into perspective.

@@apafrog Well, he wasn't crying. If that crab had hit him, the hit would have been hard, and he did nothing for someone to throw something at him, so it was right for him to be mad. He had to reset Mango's bracket, and that isn't easy at all, so he definitely worked hard to win. And he was being careful to not hit anybody with the crab, so if you were also worried that he was going to hit someone with it, well, the video shows that nobody was going to get hit, other than HBox.
It's funny that the TOs said that the crab thrower was "banned" from future tournaments when he showed up to a Xanadu later that year with the tag, "Mr. K" for Mr. Krabs and got to play.

Damn I heard about this incident, but this is the first time watching it. I can understand Hbox’s angry from that. It’s similar to when music artist perform and get stuff thrown at them. It’s disrespectful, and Hbox doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment from the smash community. He is a big part of it, yet a huge crowd of people (including pro players) don’t want him to be apart of it. Congrats to HBox he deserves this. He took the time to learn and be the best. it’s not his fault the other players can’t beat him.
Music artists actually make music. Hbox plays a video game. It's not nearly the same. One contributes something that will be remembered for ages while another is wasting his time engaging a superfluous tournament. Nobody is going to care who won the olympics 40 years ago but everyone is gonna remember Michael Jackson or the Beatles.

at first i thought it was kinda dumb he reacted the way he did. but then i realized that he’s been at that tourney for awhile and going from losing to his rival, back through losers, and then beating his rivals to win the whole thing, that takes quite the mental toll on someone dedicated to this game. so to have that crab throw happen was probably just the thing to push him close to breaking
