Playing Warhammer 40,000: Darktide for fun while recording for everyone to enjoy.
Creating a new Ogryn character even though I wanted to fully level up my Psyker as there is a good reason for doing so...

As a lover of large-caliber weapons, I can appreciate a firearm that looks big enough to fire small people through!
I wholly agree.
Though, once the Ogryn levels up enough, he can use the twin-linked heavy stubber, which is two .50cal machine guns welded together and I can't help but grin every time while emptying the entire box of ammunition at the enemies.
1:20 holy crap these ogryns are built different, there is no fucking way these little bars would hold him in that cell, if he actually wanted out.
Either the bars are made of adamantium or as per lore, the Ogryn is too obedient and stay put in the cell as instructed by the prison guards.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber well given the few videos i watched about them i would go with the second answer, i deeply love them they are just as pure as they are strong, you rarely see that
I wholeheartedly agree and due to this feature, few Ogryns that serve as regimental bodyguards are highly sought after and those with self awareness, go one step further with one fighting his claustrophobia to enter a destroyed troop transport to find a medicae for the Colonel he is attached to.
Jesus effing Christ now I wanna play Warhammer didn't know it was gonna be this good
Why don't they use these big guys as front line defense. Makes no sense
You'd think, from a gun THAT big, its shots would go through multiple targets in their path.
Also, I laughed when this Ogryn lobbed that grenade at that test enemy's head.
The Kickback (prologue gun for Ogryn) and the ripper gun being shotguns have wide spread, good for crowds but poor penetration potential. The heavy stubber once unlocked, can penetrate through the file as it is akin to firing .50 caliber full auto at point blank range.
Ogryn can't pull pin of puny grenade, hence throw box. I even managed to throw the box 50 in game meters at a enemy sniper, causing my siblings and I burst into endless laughter!
To be fair, Ogryn guns aren't really built for firepower, they're built to be tough and simple enough to operate that an Ogryn won't immediately break them. Ogryns don't tend to mind running out of ammo, as a Ripper makes for a *really* fun club that makes a fun "clang" noise when you smash a CSM over the head with it.
I hope that one day in my time, there will be a properly done 1000 episode 40k series.
We will have to pray to The Emperor very hard that Henry Cavill's attempt to make it happen becomes a reality.
With 10th Editions success, maybe....
We’ll probably reach the year 40k when that happens
Как сделали Наруто
There are short films on the official warhammer website
Ogryn would literally weight 1200+lbs. A true giant.
Ogryn's heavy muscle mass is what the Imperium love in general as it allow the Ogryn to carry heavy weaponry like toy guns against the enemies.
Significantly more, most likely. Ogryn have been described as dwarfing some astartes in the lore. They likely weigh more than a shire horse, probably over 2000lb+. They're just ridiculously solid, strong people. Bearing in mind that an Ogryn once dragged an entire tank to a commissar in order to bring him the medkit it had in it, their mass and static strength is likely far higher than we normally assume.
I admire the pox burster. Such devotion, such selflessness.
Unfortunately, the pox burster are just Nurgle pox zombies carrying the bomb to their destination against their will...
Dude goes to war wearing freaking sandals and still comes out as badass lol
His skin is as strong as Kevlar and has the strength to nearly match an Astartes initiate as per lore. Only thing keeping him at bay was his lower IQ.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber Damn right !!
@@RichardTheo-VTuberi think ogryns are physically stringer than astartes
Kickback is such a great and fun weapon! Its the embodiment of "Everything that has a begging has an end Neo" ... xD
Anyone else getting serious Heavy Weapons Guy vibes from the Ogryn?
Ogryn gets Heavy Stubber, smiles widely, shoots gun till barrel melts, wonder why gun don't go bang bang.
Also did a playthrough with the Heavy Stubber here;

Funni TF2 reference
I remember playing this as the Bully Ogryn.
He struggled with saying elevator before giving up and saying lift instead.
I like that his starter weapon’s an e-tool. Nice. You see him using it as a weapon, well - it’s a soldier’s last-ditch weapon in the field.
after that shotgun, tf2 Heavy's minigun looks like last year's pea shooter
The twin linked heavy stubber that shoots out 14.5mm bullets that the Ogryn uses later on makes TF2 heavy minigun look like a toy.
And in lore, the gun lugger Ogryn can use the heavy bolter which fires 75-caliber explosive shells.
that OGRYN is SUPER EXTREME GENIOUS compared to avarage ogryn intellegant... he can understand whats happening, and can RELOAD a gun, use elevetors by himself
He uses prepositions in his speech and looks like he's bathed once or twice in his life. Somebody should build a statue of him.
A particular male Psyker in the banter was very impressed with the Ogryn's intellect that he would like to examine his head but obviously, the Ogryn was not impressed and warned the psyker should he do so, he would do it in return with a shovel.
Love the boomerman ,he just sacrifices himself for free our- the main character ,a true no named hero
Well, he is just a pox walker with a bomb...
WHO AM I?
I AM THE WARRIOR!!
I love the thought process behind those random heretics that see this giant slab of muscle that can easily rip apart space marines with their bare hands and think "Yea I can take him!" with their tiny ass clubs.
Most of the heretics thought that they can spread Nurgle's blessing even in death and hence their willingness to throw away their lives.
The Emperor Protects
For The Emperor.
Tell that to the many fallen worlds that the empire couldn’t protect
Охеренно! Вот тот вархамер который мы наконец то заслужили!
It is not perfect but I agree that we need more games where we can experience the Warhammer universe in the character's eyes.
If only the makers of Planetside 2 would make a Imperium vs Chaos MMO shooter of the same scale,..

Dude... the Ultramarians (that what the inhabitants of Ultramar's worlds are called, right?) are much chiller about Xenos.
This is the reason why I choose russian accent ogryn. Eastern European English accent makes him so badass.
Better yet, the voice actor seems to have a lot of fun voicing the Bodyguard ogryn as per Fatshark's devblog on character voices.

I do not mind comments from any country as long as it does not involve politics and sensitive topics. It is tough to police them from time to time since I am now working in a job. As one RUclipsr says, "People are not their governments. People are people. And we have a lot more in common than we think."
I do hope one day, all of us can set aside politics and differences just to play games, be it traditional or video games just to have fun and not to be at each others' throat.
WHO AM I?I AM THE WARRIOR!!. солдат Крига одобряет лопатку).
Still not big enough for our big Ogryn here.
Does anyone know how much Ogryns get paid? It must be at least 3 or 400 pounds per week.
As per lore, Ogryns are paid in primarily in rations for both himself and his family. Oh, and also friendship.
With their limited intelligence, they have difficulty understanding the very concept of money.
It sucks that it's only pc though I would love to play this
The Xbox series X and S version is delayed till further notice due to the backlash on performance optimization and it is so bad that PCs with similar specifications to the Xbox series S are unable to run it properly. This has been mostly patched and there has been monthly performance optimizations by the developers.
As of now, the game is also available in Microsoft's PC Game Pass which could indicate that the console release could come soon.
This guy sounds like the shark guy from suicide squad
Same voice tone but different voice actor. Both emphasis the low intelligence but wholesomeness of the character.

I think what Zola promised was telling her colleagues what prison the character was destined to since it is a prison transport ship.
And since we are the Inquisitional Penal trooper, they need to earn their freedom hence the handcuffs and bomb collar.

Why? There's no shame in that. He helped her like a loyalist would.
inquisiton is horrible and incredibly unfair . But it is impossible for imperium to survive without them i guess . Still whenever various space marine chapters beat the crap out of them i feel like justice served...
It depends on who is leading the particular group as some could be fair in their judgement such as Gregor Eisenhorn.
Lord Inquisitor Ghesmei Kysnaros on the other hand, was killed by the Space Wolves chapter master since that guy decided to purge anyone who was related to the First war for Armageddon, including the entire Space Wolves chapter.
an ogryn's legs would have to be so strong to hold all their mass while being so small in proportion to their bodies
them hips bruh
Given that they reside in planets with high gravity, their legs (and their bodies) are very strong with dense bones and muscle fibers.

Thank you.
Para que consola seria este juego,,🤔
Currently this game is out for the PC. The Xbox Series X and S version is still being developed with no exact date of release.
Than,s men,🤗👍
Heretyk osoba wolnej myśli nie skuta dogmatami wiary wyssanymi z palca rób jak ci karzą i nie dyskutuje niewolniku
I am sure the Inquisition don't really care as long as he/she/it does not commit acts of violence or suddenly chanting weird things.
No game including dead island 2 recently, has no idea of basic medical attention.. If you are impaled with a large metal object do not pull it out because you think it will make moving easier... You will bleed to death because the object was the only thing stemming the blood flow... 😂 Edit: Also that is a big ass shotgun!
Some may argue that she might have already used her pocket medi-kit that is issued to most inquisitional officers like her to staunch the bleeding and pain after she was left behind by the enemies before trying to pull the knife out herself (which proceeded by Ogryn effortlessly pulling it). But I do agree that most media does not portray medical issues properly but in the realm of fantasy, anything can happen.
Also, Ogryn gets ripper gun later on which is very big auto shotgun.

Warhammer !? i think they need to call it Warshovel...
A large number of Death Korps of Krieg guardsmen agrees with your statement.
Is this on xbox or just pc
The game is available on PC only as of now. The console version is delayed till further notice due to the backlash they received due to unoptimized release.
Le strong woman
3:40 🤣
I did that on purpose for the laughs and to point out how chonky the Ogryn is.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber adds to the immersion man i love it 👌🏼
Ok it looks awesome why are reviews on this game so .s.hit ??
The game was released unoptimized and was lacking a lot of content back then and though it was patched multiple times, the game itself still does not have much content to warrant "live service" replayability and hence the lower reviews.
You should look around more during the gameplay, lost many details while looking down.
Great game though.
I would like to but as the game was launched with a myriad of visual related bugs then that looking at the chaos going on can crash the game. Those are mostly patched since this recording.
I will do a revisit recording once I got a job to buy a top tier GPU and had my contact to keep me posted for a potential "4090 Ti" as this recording is done with medium settings and DLSS at performance.
Anyone know when a console port is due?
As of right now, there is no definite date for a console port since Fatshark is now focusing their efforts to "repair" and optimize the game.
Why is there a nurgle infestation coming with these traitors that attacked?
These traitors are 100% aligned with Nurgle and hence, some are able to bear the "gifts" at their enemies.
Also note that the captive the traitors are rescuing may be a Chaos champion of Nurgle and might have already plotting a takeover of the ship.
Ogryns are basically Ogres.
Ogres are green and are like onions while Ogryns are slightly mutated humans that if trained well are obedient and can kill enemies of the Imperium with ease.
That ogryn seems a bit too witty
It really depends on what personality you chose when making the character.
For him (The Bodyguard), he does make a very valid point on why not to use elevators in times of war;
"Goes up, yes. Goes down, yes. Sometimes go down hard, splat. Not good."
Ogryn commanders can be as intelligent as a preteen.
@@Ultravenom1
Damn... imagine an Ogryn with high IQ.😮
Then prove it
Ogryn proceeds to bonk as many heretics as possible with shovel.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber Ogryn always win
this game is such a garbage, why wouldnt they give an ogryn some cool custom melle weapons or at least some cool melee animations, that gonna be fun to use, when he is cutting through the horde i feel like im doing some boring job like cutting through some bushes, but in rl im gonna feel some joy from physical activity, they put so much effort in scenery, textures, why not making like 10 animations to make that purge-grind less boring
I agree that the Ogryn does need more weapons that is not a stick but that is how Games Workshop designed the Ogryn that Fatshark is forced to use for Darktide, including what weapons he can use.
As for different animations per weapon like how Tripwire did with reloading guns for Killing Floor 2, you can try suggesting at their official forums but as of now, their priority is both bug fixes and adding features they promised.
Welcome to the world of 40k vidya. Ripoff clones of better franchises with mediocre mechanics, low-effort plots, and 1-dimensional characters.
Огрин так легко зашел в транспорт?
It is a tight squeeze and he seem to have overcome his claustrophobia given his time in the cell....
Pretty mid, ngl.
Dumb cinematic choices throughout the tutorial.
Okay effects.
The canon feels weak.
Fatshark is not really a "AAA" game studio and cinematics can be very expensive to make while the weapon at the start is mostly for close quarters fighting as it is a shotgun, not a grenade launcher (he can get one later on).
As for effects, I was recording this in medium settings with DLSS at performance and the game had optimizations issues when launched. I will do a second recording at higher settings once I got a better GPU in the future.
Огрины не подвластны хаосу
It depends who they are following as Ogryns are known to be obedient to whoever they are attached to. If their superiors fall to chaos, so do they and in some cases, tries to appease their masters by either mutating/augmenting themselves to become a Plague Ogryn or worse, a Ogryn Berserker.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber
Did some Ogryn part with their handler or turned them in or killed them after said handler became a Chaos follower?
@@Briselance very rarely due to the innate low IQ most Ogryn has. Those that did are few and far between such as those with the Bone'ead augmentation.
I know they do a disservice to their fans by not making a movie that's why I do not support them at all.
One of the reasons we have yet to have a new Warhammer 40,000 movie is due to how much lore there is to condense into a two-hour long movie so that someone with no knowledge can appreciate it. The last animated movie based on the ultramarines is not well received even by the hardcore fans.
Secondly, we have the greedy shareholders to blame for shafting the animators to a video platform they created for it to be not profitable, blaming the creators instead of their own doing.
Abhuman
Ogryn is best Abhuman.
You play like a bot, a little hard to watch 😵
This is the prologue/tutorial mission, I can't do anything else apart from follow instructions like a bot. Do check out my other recordings or even my livestream on Darktide gameplay and you will notice how more "human" I am when playing, especially on higher difficulties in public lobbies.
Looks awful...
This was recorded back then when the game was released poorly optimized and I was playing it on medium settings with DLSS at performance. I will do a new recording once I got a better GPU in the near future.
Broads in the inquisition? WTF
Broads? 🤨
whoever wrote this plot has a toddler's understanding of human interaction
In this dark fantasy setting, human interaction was kept to a minimum due to how a sudden wrong choice of words can get yourself jailed or even killed for heresy.
The Ogryn being a mutated form of humans who lived in high gravity planets has great strength, build and physique but have intelligence of a five year old and thus, their interaction with others is usually very basic.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber ab-human...not mutant...
From the Warhammer 40,000 wiki page, "An Abhuman is a descendant of baseline Human settlers whose ancestors mutated and physically adapted to various extreme environmental conditions after being isolated for thousands of standard years on colony worlds across the galaxy."
Unfortunately as stated, Ab-humans are still human mutants though were re-categorized to the newer term by The Emperor before the Horus Heresy in order not to be singled out for "cleansing" and to differ from unnatural mutants like those Chaos heretics who gotten too much "gifts".
Do note I did not call Ogryns directly as a mutant but rather a mutated form of human, making the explanation easier for those new to the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
@@RichardTheo-VTuber if you say so...

How I wish we have it in a scale like Planetside 2. Imagine, Imperium vs Chaos, 1000 V 1000 in a giant map.
is it worth it for the story even if I am not the biggest FPS fan?
@@spaceork6973 The story for this game is not as expansive like the Halo series but more of a filler of what's going on.
As this game is purely PVE, as long as you know which weapon to use in the situation i.e. melee weapon against the horde of zombies instead of ranged weapon, you will enjoy the gameplay and the character banters it offers.
god im glad i didn´t spend any money on this, this looks so awfull for 2023
To be fair, I am running on "medium" settings with DLSS set to performance with no ray tracing and hence why it looks awful to some people, especially when I am pushing my computer to the limit by playing at 4K, capping at 60 FPS. Also since then, optimization patches has been deployed after many backlashes.
That being said, the hybrid melee/shooting gameplay is main focus here and I recommend looking at my other gameplay recordings with other character classes before making a judgement based only on graphics.
