Hi are you into options
🙋🏻
Me too
@@travelart7748 why??? What shariq said??
I am also
Very few people understands that VIX is determined by options prices and not vice versa. This is the first video I ever saw where you truly understand. Thanks for sharing, it was informative.
Regarding F& O trading I am not able to understand anything. Even though I am in market from 2008 & highly qualified ( masters in engineering & masters in business administration) I am just zero knowledge in option trading. Maybe god’s gift I think
may be you don't want to learn options anymore because it is too risky
Just amazing.. Major respect to you. Your knowledge is beyond comprehension, and thorough, Which is indeed helpful.. keep up the good work
Ur videos are incredible, it helps to understand the emotions of the market... Which is very important
Good Morning Madam,Many Many thanks to you to clear very basic concept regarding option buying and selling. Atleast some people understand these basic and follow your advice will save his her hard earned Money. Please give suck kind of 1 min concept in every Video please ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
A note in case it helps someone.
-----------------------------
Theoretically, Black-Scholes model is used to derive the price based on various factors. Volatility is one of the factors. So now, if you know the price (price is determined by market, not by theory), we calculate the volatility (yes, we do it reverse). The volatility calculated from price is "implied volatility", we got the volatility for the given price
The price is driven by supply and demand. As SHARRA mentioned, when sellers have to adjust for price, the price goes down, similarly implied volatility goes down. In fact, the theoretical and practical values varies!
Priceless advise and lesson. Was always confused of options derivatives, your explanation was easy to understand. Will watch this video again as it has many facts and statistics that are a good basic to this subject. THANK YOU🙏
Very good explanation... Also I'm seeing myself in your friends position 😅. For sure you are the good mentor ❤
This video is brilliant. Never seen such a nice explanation for VIX. 🎉🎉
Namaste madam, Will you teach us?
Please show your *PnL* !!!
Go for cash trading... Why options..?
This is good. I am a newbie in OPTIONS trading but I have made money than losing so far. I definitely can say that it is very risky. All I have learnt is, dont be greedy in trying to make big money. It will make you lose more money if we are greedy. Just make enough money for the day and be happy!
Engaging in active trading versus long-term investing requires unique strategies for maximizing returns. Active trading involves frequent buying and selling of securities, aiming to capitalize on short term market fluctuations.
Whether you’re a day trader or a swing trader, having a plan that includes risk management and exit criteria is crucial.
Investing in your finances is the key to setting yourself apart from the average worker. It's like building a unique path to financial success.

This one cleared my confusion. Many thanks.
Thank you so much for Clearing Basic you have really genuine knowledge of how market works
Good explanation and eye-opening..thank you fir sharing..it is valuable for many traders...
Nice one ,I would like to understand the premium calculation part in upcoming video s.
India is largest Derivatives market in the world.. Proud of it. Let other countries try to catch up !
Big capital is not matter. Even with one lac can make money in option provided follow technical
So better never do option buying nor selling...take 10 stocks and trade daily say IT stocks ....refer IT index
After hearing all that detailed and technical explanation . I feel like I knew nothing about Trading ,Specially Option Selling(Which I really believe). And I'm a profitable option buyer. I felt very stupid looking at this video.
Need a really hard learning. I'm definitely gonna find a mentor when i will start doing Option Selling.
Didn’t understand what you said.. but yes i have to understand it.. something related it to my experience.. which i was not able to crack it..
Thanks for this, I have been thinking about this. Happy to find that I am not the only one who thinks that IVs are low because of excessive option writing. I call IV as perceived volatility.
But what is the solution? How to calculate actual volatility, one method I was thinking is calculating standard deviation using 1 min data.
Let me know your thoughts
this video is very infirmative.......but my question is .....what is he solution for this ...to buy or sell ?😀
I wish to differ with you on the concept of options driving vix and IVs.
Here is the rationale..
Options by definition give an investor the right to buy but is "not an obligation".
Since options are a result of of an underlying security which are more fundamental in nature, be it indices, currencies etc.; the game of demand -supply is played on these underlying instruments and hence the basic principles of economy(demand-supply) apply.
Example, during any pandemic, the "concern" towards basic survival (called IV for the sake of simplicity here) shot up.And so did the insurance premia by all insurance companies.
While this was a health example, the good part of economy (and the market ) is that it tries to attain a state of equillibrium.
And thats why the term STANDARD DEVIATION (meaning that in case of deviance the market would come back to its normal state).
As a result, the IV/VIX will always be governed by the underlying instrument .
So much so, that even when there is huge euphoria, the vix could be high and vice versa.
Hope this explains.
Thanks
I prefer Stock options. INDEX options--which most people prefer -- I try to avoid. As I am options writer I prefer to write OTM options on both sides IE calls as well as PUTS. I am also ready to get assigned so I am ready with money or stocks just in case. I sell monthly options so in one or two months in a year I may get assigned. Other months I just collect both sides premium.
Market is like a Buffet. There is something for every kind of people. If IV and corresponding premium is low, go for option buying, Debit spreads or Calendar spreads. If IV and premium is high go for credit spread or option selling. Recent low IV in Indian market is not just because of more sellers but because of overall positive momentum. When the VIX is lower, IV will also be lower that set for bullish market up move in the market. You might have seen how VIX and IV have spiked during election period. There was a period of higher VIX and IV before it cooled off and the current trend can also be changed in future.
10:06 The only way you could reduce risk or hedge your postions is through order entry only. Just by staying small and diversifying writing options among differnt stocks will help you navigate that risk. Most of the indian trainers, (option writing workshops) only supports writing option in indices. I think thats a pure recipe for a disaster, being notionally exposed to only one product that too 80 to 90% of their account value.
Market sentiment is not driven by IV. In fact it is the other way around -IV is driven by market sentiment and market sentiment is influenced by earnings. Look at the sectors growing currently and what happens to earnings in those sectors. In an uptrend IV and corresponding option premium will be lower. In a down trend IV and option premium will be higher. That is why it is said that trades make money during Bear market and investors make money during bull market. F&O is a zero sum game. Retail participation in option selling is very lower, they are mostly option buyers. This is the reason 99 % of option buyers are loosing money to few Big institutions. No matter whether there are 4 sellers or 400 sellers they cannot change market narrative. In one way it is good that more sellers means more liquidity.
Mostly the option prices increase when the market participants forsee a uncertain environment. It is called as "efficient market hypothesis". Basically the sellers and the buyers are pricing in the 'uncertain environments'. So the writers quote options for a little bit more premium. This phenomena will reduce when that uncertainty in the market is reduced. So it's not that, "there are so many option writers in the scene, so the premium is less". Most of the time the volatility index (i.e.,Option prices for the current month) will be average to low, anywhere between 12 - 15.Only during uncertain times like election budget or some corporate earnings , those numbers spike up.
US markets are hugely different ..there we can buy part share but not in india here minimum we should buy one share...
Good evening Madam. I want to know basic knowledge of Fno pls tell me. I want to talk to you madam. Please provide live session madam
06:36 onwards. My doubt is if stock price increases, wouldn't be there an increased demand for call options from options buyers who wants to make some money? Hence wouldn't the open interest increase similar to when the underlying stock price falls and thereby increasing the demand for put options.
Now tell me why atm option prices are 900 instead of 200 on election days with same supply and demand as other non event days 😂😂
Can you suggest the book to understand option priceing
And iv ,vix relation
could you help me -- how do we know whether premium is higher / lower ? and how do we know whether the options supply zone higher or the demand zone. Thanks!

Hello everiwaaaannnnnnnnnnnn😊
Your technical knowledge is top notch. BEST !
It seems the word "underlying security" was wrongly mentioned by me as "derivatives"... The same has been corrected now. this is a Corrigendum ..please.
Excellent
Super! Much of what you said went over my head, but I'm damn sure you know what you are talking!!
Well done 👏 😅
Very nice
How much money can required to rise100 points of Nifty, Bank nifty.
What is the rate of interest if the index is static say 23000 at the beginning and expiry
There is one correction. Option builder shows the probability for the selected option Greeks and expected market movement. It's possible to keep the probability same by hedging option Greeks via IV hedging and can make easy money. Strategies like spreads are hedged and has fixed probability of win.
