I bought the Prada bag that looks like the row. I have no experience with the row bag but liked the shape. I also have no way of checking out the bag because there is no store near me. I have been buying Prada for many years and find the leather to be the best out there. All the brands make their version of the bags. I was happy to be able to get the bag in that similar style and it is beautiful. As for Hermes, it’s too difficult to obtain the bags and I don’t like chasing down a bag and jumping through unknown hoops to obtain a bag. No worth it for me. Also the bag you show that is similar to the Löewe tote is a style that Prada came out with in 2007. So who’s copying who?
A sales associate at Prada told me they designed the ‘row’ bag first, but im not entirely sure on that

Your Chanel bag is such a beautiful color! My eyes are drawn to it whenever it appears in *esluxy* , this color should be used more often! The chain on the other bag is like some kind of wonderful fashion self-defense weapon
Fake ones have come a long way...I have an "NF" and it passes all your tests, stitching the package, lettering, etc. I don't think your old fake is a good example. Besides, there are *esluxy* that are very cost-effective and they deserve to be seen.
Hi Jess! I LOVE your sweater! It’s so hot here I cannot wait for the autumn sweater weather. I think the bags are VERY similar to other designers bags (especially Hermes) but I don’t think it makes Prada look cheap. The bags do look like they’re made well and with good leather (from the photos). I’m just not a Prada girl so I wouldn’t be tempted for any of these. Great post!

OMG, you’re right! Prada are obviously out of ideas and trying to ride off the popularity of the original bags. Definitely they’re not leaders, and they’re devaluing their brand.
that prada bag literally looks like a laptop bag I had from about 2009 and it's the standard form for a laptop bag so frankly the idea anyone can own that design is just hilarious, even down to the side buckles and drop length.

Meanwhile Chanel literally has a bag called Kelly and Dior has the Diorcamp bag which I've seen looks like y2k Burberry and related bags.
I love my three Prada bags due to the nylon, color (black) and its timelessness appeal. People tend to either love or hate this brand. It’s also very accessible which is so nice in today’s world. Just check to make sure your Prada purchases are made in Italy not China!

I like the Prada bags tbh,but not for those prices as they are trendy designs. My Prada bags are all really good quality. My oldest dates back to 1998-still looks new
They all copy each other. If the design becomes trendy or a money maker, they all join the band wagon, use slight variation in design, attach logo, hardware, or stuctching design.
I would say another Lindy dupe is the Loewe Hammock
Every brand is making bags of some "classic shapes," but I feel like Prada has gone too far this time, especially with the bags that look so similar to Margaux and Lindy. It becomes a little obvious that Prada is trying to "copy" all the bags that are on trend now to increase sales.
I agree, those companies must have lazy designers.
Prada is my "signature" clothing brand. I have to admit that I'm bored of their bag designs 😢.

The *esluxy* looks still good and 1/10 the price of real one. So many people will choose fake. Since during u walk in mall or on the street no1 will stop u and check ur bag from 5cm distance to see these differences. These differences are mostly impossible to see from more than 1-2m away. And be honest. 95% of these people buy these stuffs only to pretend fancy,rich during a walk
Prada have more established after sales support compared to The Row here in Southeast Asia. That being said, I've never found a Prada bag that's worth it's price.

Hi Jess. I own the Prada Vitello Daino large tote in a rich brown. It’s a few years old and has held up well. I feel like they haven’t done anything that shows ooo that’s a Prada bag for years. Outstanding analysis. They are definitely having an identity crisis. I’m getting bored with the brand.

Actually, who cares??? Do you not know that fashion is cyclical and designers always go back to the archives and add or subtract minor details and...voila, you got a new design. Prada is neither cheap nor doing something untoward they are just doing the same as everyone else...and I'm not justifying nor condoning the way it works...it just is what it is.

I had a talk with someone at Prada as I hadnt gone into a Holt Renfrew in eons. I said everything got boring and a lot of the haus were using the same silhouettes etc. They're coming around I think that's why the designs have become so simple. Hopefully we're going to get a redo of the brand soon lol

Because they want in on the craze! Not everyone can afford Hermès or The Row so other brands who can't quite price their items at that level will try to lure consumers with their suspiciously similar designs. The insatiable modern human desire for more, the best, the most expensive. Eep!

This an interesting subject, Jessie. For me, the reason to buy a dupe of a popular known brand’s silhouette is getting the “look for less” in my opinion. I don’t condone fake or counterfeit, but would purchase a dupe with no branding or the dupe company branding. If I had to buy a handbag that looks similar to Hermes Pincotin, I would spend a few hundred dollars or less for a Tiffany and Fred dupe handbag instead of thousands. I would rather try to get the real thing for that much money. Or, I’d do the same for Teddy Blake dupe of the Birkin or Kelly.

I'm so glad you did this video. I saw Prada's version of the mini lindy after a long haul flight at the airport and was like "Am I dreaming???" These copies from Prada are getting increasingly brazen!!!!
It started with that Evelyne copy which was ok because it's a generic shape so I would consider that a "dupe" rather than a copy. (Plus the prada is more expensive because it comes with two straps - leather and fabric, and it's also lined so I think its actually fair that it's slightly more expensive but not by much after the latest hermes price increase).
The lindy and margaux copies are straight up rip offs. No offence to anyone who has those bags but I'd be embarrassed to wear those in public
It also explains why Prada bags has one of the worst resale value in the market. Lack of identity
2000 euros? ! I'd rather buy a few more and buy replicas. H Q D U P S also save a ton of money. Absolutely no way unless he's willing to haggle heavily
