- We decided to make a drive about 1.5hrs from Sequoia National Park to explore the beautiful King's Canyon National Park. We cool off at an epic watering hole near Muir Rock, hiked the Roaring River falls and exploring the nearby OHV trail. We also explored a few more trails in Sequoia National Park before finally heading home. Overall it was a great 4 days 3 nights camping, hiking, off-roading and exploring of the Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon National Park.

Camping their in August, cant wait!!
Nice! Heard the road was just open
nice trip - the "Beach Walk" background music you used - loved it!
excellent video
Thank you
Kings canyon is fun the kid in the blue shorts is crazy jumping like that
amazing views
Truly is a cool area!
Motor nature trail looks like a great place to camp
I would camp here any day but unfortunately it's not allowed since it's in the National Park. Only camp in established campground.
@@Michael_Tran do the rangers drive through there? Are there signs that day day use only or what?
@@jonnytacooutdoors Yea, there's sign and it's not a hard trail for rangers to go through.
@@Michael_Tran thanks for the info man
So dope!
Thank you
Looks like you had a blast! 👍🏻
We did...should check this area out man.
@@Michael_Tran On my list!
was just there last week! would’ve loved to have known about this trail!
Great video
Thank you
Nice places! Have to go out again soon!
Yea bro! Awesome family area with chill river for kids and off roading for the adults haha
Great video Brother. Headed up to Lower Stoney Creek on Wednesday for a solo fishing trip. Never been to Sequoia, so this video has me excited. Looks so beautiful. Thanks 🙏🏽
Nice! Should be fun bro...yea, fishing have been good since water is so low and fish are all caught in small pool. Have fun man!
Appreciate the videos, gives me more confidence in my 21' Limited 2WD....now just wished I lived closer to these trails :)
Haha...im. sure there's some fire road in your area, you'll be surprised at how capable it is in 2wd.
@@Michael_Tran yeah there are some great trails near Atlanta….nothing like out west, but they provide fun :)
@@erichrhoads8067 It's all about getting out there and enjoying the outdoors.
Nice video. Would you mind giving the trailhead. I wouldn't mind checking it out. Thanks and happy trails.
River Rd. or motor nature trail
Looks great there. Wonder if you could camp there next to the river on the OHV trail
Not really sure...although it did look like a good camping spots
nope. you're in the NP.
How you like those traction boards and which case you got on top? Will be doing these upgrades this fall
It's not the best to be honest, but for the money its good enough. Max trax for the gold standard but these for $150 have gotten me out of a few stuck areas. It's in the description on the video.
this road is possible in any car and the whole area is closed in the winter
Another awesome video Michael. I’m curious.. if you had to do it again. Would you choose Tacoma or 4Runner? And why? 😎🤙
I think I would get the 4Runner 4x4 if I don't need it for work. But having a truck is a lot of fun with outdoor activity. I can throw everything in the back and im ready to go.
Hey Michael. I’m thinking about heading up towards the sequoia national forest this coming weekend and so glad I came across your video. My question is regarding the Frenchie lol. I have one myself and noticed someone with you had theirs. Are dogs allowed in kings canyon national park or how were you able to get the dog to come with you guys. Please lmk and thanks in advance.
Hey bro...Im not 100% sure if every area they are allow or not. The one area that we swam at the Rangers told us their not allowed so we pack up and left. It's actually my brother's dog...so im not sure of all the regulations on pets their unfortunately. There's are campsite just outside of the National Parks that they stayed at and dogs and pets are allowed there, that I know.
Hey Micheal, awesome video as always! Did you have to air down your tires on this trail?
I’ll be up to Kings Canyon/Sequoia this weekend.
Thank you
Hey bro...thank you. The buck rock lookout, you might want to air down but the river rd in King's canyon you don't need to. You'll love it man..gorgeous area
What do you call that swimhole ?
John Muir rock
Any recs for a good campsite to access both parks?
Any campground around there is fine...they're both pretty close by to each other.
@@Michael_Tran do you have to book these campsite in advanced? We don’t like busy campgrounds 😋
@@jonnytacooutdoors Yes..we usually do it a few months in advanced especially these ones since it's so popular.
@@Michael_Tran any dispersed camping up there?
@@jonnytacooutdoors Not in the National Parks..but the Sequoia National Forest is nearby with some disperse camping
