    You’re really pushing the p950 to its limits! Your footage and commentary together with the music makes for a wonderfully relaxing vibe! Thanks for posting!

      Thanks for commenting and glad you enjoyed it 😊. I may be hitting my limits with the P950 - still missing too many shots.

    Thank you for dropping the music volume down while narrating and for sharing your photographic journey with us.
    Well done on the video. It brought me to places that I may never venture to and has shown me beauty which I may not have been able to behold 🙂👍

      Many thanks! Getting the audio settings right has proved a challenge. I'm hoping to copy the settings used in this video, going forwards. 😊

    The quality of the video suggests a tripod is used. Location, video, stills, commentary and music combine beautifully. Great production values above the ruck. Dragonflies are magic!

    Have you found the lack of weather proofing problematic on the 950? Especially as where you are seems humid sometimes...
    Thanks for the informative and relaxing video

    • @honky014
      @honky014  Месяц назад +1

      I've never had a problem with the lack of weather proofing but then the camera is usually in a waterproof bag and I always have a brolly with me regardless of the forecast. I did try videoing in light rain with a brolly protecting the camera but it proved a bit too tricky to get any decent footage. Humidity by itself has never caused a problem.

      You mean it's in a " plastic bag"? While you are hiking,/ walking in say a heavy seaside mist?
      On the west coast of Canada..
      It rains a lot here...;-)

    • @honky014
      @honky014  Месяц назад

      I keep the camera in a padded camera bag that is waterproof. I like to go out when it's misty but wouldn't want the camera to get more than a few spots of rain.

    Great birding! I'm curious what settings you used for the overcast day? Thanks!

    • @honky014

      Thanks Gail 👍. These days I'm almost always in aperture priority mode and then play with the exposure setting. When I remember, I make use of the histogram that pops up when adjusting the exposure - ensuring that it's fairly well centred.

    How often in these shots are 'on' a tripod? Your shots are so smooth!

    • @honky014
      @honky014  Месяц назад +1

      I got used to having a tripod with me because I nearly always used a scope when out birding. However I don't use it as much now with the camera, managing to get by with the ledge of the windows in hides and fence posts etc. Birds rarely wait around while you put a tripod up and mount the camera.

    I don't hear any 'zoom' noise in your videos. How do you silence it? Your 'views' are spectacular

    • @honky014
      @honky014  Месяц назад +1

      I usually leave the zoom noise in the video. However I'm likely to reduce the volume a bit when editing the video. The zoom does tend to 'clatter' a bit at the far end of the range. Thanks for the compliment 😊
