- Samantha Josephson, the University of South Carolina senior who was kidnapped and brutally killed after getting into a car that she mistook for her Uber, suffered “heinous, cruel and malicious acts,” prosecutors told jurors on Tuesday during the trial of accused murder Nathaniel Rowland. Josephson was just months away from graduating from the University of South Carolina before she was killed on March 29, 2019. Rowland was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, but maintains he’s innocent.
Whoever was stabbing the student 120 times must be a psychopath.
Edit: I realized the murderer is Nathaniel Rowland, but he is still a horrible psychopath.

I bet this imp may have done this before. I called my daughter told her to keep her car doors locked and never take uber . @@rittikkashyap8612 i had this conversation with my professor where people in prison have better life's than people out here yes they dont have the freedom and might never have it but they don't have to pay for light water rent food or education since there is some programs that allow them to get their high school diploma or college done and yes the food may not be as good as a restaurant but it's still free food they can make money in there to by making stuff to sell well at least what I've heard i know one of my family members would get in trouble just for that he said hey it's free and you also can have friends in there so you can company as well

One time I went to visit a friend and just before parking outside someone else got in the back of my car thinking it was a taxi. I pointed out his mistake and he immediately got out. But this shows how easy it is to mistake a random car for a taxi.

@@hollycampbell4103 the child lock isn't a button. It's a latch inside the door you can only get to from the outside. People hit it all the time by accident so either he flipped it prior to showing up (planned kidnapping) or she accidentally bumped it getting in and couldn't get back out. Either way any normal person would've turned the car off got out the driver seat and opened it from the outside for her.

Actually the autopsy report states she was alive for 10-20 minutes after the stabbing began, and the stabs were rapid. She was alive the whole time. And he stabbed her everywhere from her skull to her feet.

based on the footage the car stopped in front of her, she then probably thought it was her Uber since you know, your Uber stops in front of your location
The man is crazy and a sad mix of events. She hopped in the car and closed the door with the child lock on. Things most likely would've been different if the poor girl was able to escape. I don't think the driver intentionally had the child lock already on waiting for some random girl to get into his car. I think he seen that moment as an opportunity to kill someone and claim defense. That's why he pretty much shows no remorse and even still claims hes innocent to the judge after being proven guilty. He's a sick individual that thought he could get away with this.
