Current music today? It's all I Mac...
This guy is incredible... especially for a young man who was homeless on the streets of Miami... then he ends up becoming a member of a band that has sold out Arenas and stadiums for several decades. . He does credit the greatest of the greatest as is inspiration John B. NEAL P. et al. . Most drummers would love to have even 15% of his net worth..

What about Stwart Copeland ?
How about John Bonham
Nothing I've had not heard before in drum solos.Way better solos out there on RUclips!
I guess I'm missing something.
Oh yeah, I miss Neil Peart, Bonham (RIP) let's not forget Copeland, A Van Halen among SO MANY OTHERS.
Thanks that was awesome!
Otro elemento necesario para hacer MANA increible..tu talento Alex..wow..me quedo sin palabras.
I've always enjoyed watching and listening to Alex play. It's too bad he doesn't have the following in america that he has in Brazil or South America. Great player. Would like to meet him seems like a very cool guy.

John Bonham? Ever heard of him.
Probably they don't
Loser
Barrymore Barlow, ever heard of him? He played with Jethro Tull for close to 10 years. Google what John Bonham had to say about him.

Ginger Baker, it's not how fast you play, it's what you say!
totally agree Eddie there are so many talented drummers out there amazing talents this was a great solo
* Yes Eddie 👍
he's a drumline quad player that eventually incorporated his feet. seen it way too many times.
You obviously haven't been to a Rush concert.
Matt garska does this with his bass drums!
now i understand why my neighbor would get angry and call the cops on me when i played my drums in my bed room back when i was in jr high and high school

I definitely wouldn’t go that far.. Mike Portnoy is someone you should really have a look at first. Just sayin..
For me Alex is one of the greatest drummers of the world. The way he plays his music, the band mana has a lot of influence from music all over the world, and for me that's what makes Alex a incredible drum player. Not just for this solo, but also for all the songs he plays.
And may as well take a listen to Danny Carey while he's at it!
asael perez - Not the best drum solo in the history of mankind though.
Milan- Dany Carey definitely a Top 5 candidate!..
Portnoy is the real deal, it all seems effortless to him. Not sure I have ever seen him solo but I can only guess its amazing.
If this is the greatest solo eva, pull yoself away from those damn drum machines!!
Good drummer! But there’s many others worthy of the title “The best”
Hi Cisco that was my nickname while in the navy i agree with you totally great stuff not the very best
If you want to watch a "true" solo....
Look up Terry Bozzio.
Neil Peart
Ian Paice
Three very different drummers so you can get the picture.
Great playing yes, history of mankind no. Alex is a very talented drummer, but there are so many others in a league of their own. The band he's in is outstanding.
You’re right!! He’s really good but yes there’s more out there on the Swedish heavy metal scene
Neil Peart holds the Paramount of excellence in rock drumming, bar none. Alex here is about on the level as, say, maybe Alex Van Halen.
@@docb9505 Neil and Rush, are in a "paramount class" of musicians quite different from Van Halen. Two separate musical worlds. Alex does rock big time though!

Neil Pert wayyy better!
1980s Drummer from "APRIL WINE" was Phenominal and My second all time Behind NEIL PEART. And Alex of " MANA" is A Badass too. I've seen all three Magnificent Drummers in Colorado USA. 🥁 2-26-21.
I like Alex Gonzalez but that is definitely not the best solo in the history of mankind.
I think they say that as BAIT to get views. I have seen many that say this kind of stuff and then you're expecting something earth shatteringly good. and you get some average drummer doing basic rudimentary drumming.
Alex de Mana didn't put this video up. An enthusiastic fan of his did. So, please stop bagging on an excellent drummer for an opinion that someone else holds of him. No such thing as "the best", anyway. It's all subjective.
Let's see 360 degrees Mr. Peart did that in the 1980's then Mr. Van Halen in the 1980's.
Mr. Gonza'lez is good but, nothing new.
I dont know but i think Carl Palmer was the one who started all, i dont know if was somebody else did it before, anybody knows?
Carl Palmer in the '70s
How many drummer did you see drumming ever? :D
John Bonham's best drummer ever...from Led zeppelin.
Thanks for sharing your opinion... Look this man up, look at how long he's been doing this for. Credit to this man for staying talented and true to his work.
He is good you have talor Hawkins David growl buddy rich Stewart so many good drummers
Pretty good now go watch Neil Peart.
@Larry Aldama I heard the sad news,he will be missed😪

Now go check out Virgil Donati, thank me later
Mike Mangini just said "Hold my beer"
Tommy lee wanna be! He does nothing that the real top drummers have already done! Boring solo...

He is OK...not really an amazing drummer, just ok, like him there are thousands. You need to listen the masters and then you'll see the difference.

Solid with a great visual. Love love the kit setup. Was it the best? I don't know what defines best. But Neil Peart wrote, yes actually wrote a book on soloing. I see this phenomenal drummer here play things I saw Neil do years ago. Try reading "Anatomy Of A Drum Solo". Until then, thanks for sharing and lets enjoy both.
