Badminton kiddos nowadays never understand how scary Lin Dan is back in the days (way scarier and deadlier than Axelsen, Lzj, Ginting and Momota). I will always remember the 08's Olympic where Lin Dan is destroying everyone he met including my idol LCW lol.😅 If this Lin Dan is in current era then goodbye to every player currently lmao this LD can play fast pace, fast reflexes, powerful attacked, fit asf, superb controlled and balancing physique, godlike footwork (it's like he's walking lol), rarely got trick and juked (unlike curry player that plays like monkey but easily juked lol) and lastly his mental strength.
This was Lin Dan at 120% motivation. Imo, not yet at his peak (i think he was better in 2009 and 2011) but since he didn’t have an olympic medal and was playing at his home country, he was putting absolutely everything he had not wanting to give up a single point. The scary thing is that we never saw his true peak as after this win he struggled with staying motivated (he himself stated this). It just shows how untouchable he was.
Great remastered 08' Olympic LD footage, you can just see how much energy and effort he's exuding in every shot to be dominant forgot to add he's jumping and jogging around the court every point too 😂insane
Lin Dan is 1 of 1 Debate 2-5 if you want but it's disrespectful - frankly I question your ability to see - to even have a thought start up about LD not being the GOAT

You see LD was always in the base position before Park's shot coming out. He was always in control and can speed up any time to hit the winner.
