I would say current Axelsen is like prime Chen Long, so LCW past 30 years old wouldn't beat current Axelsen. 2011 LCW would beat Axelsen 6-7/10 of the times.
@@nguyenduong454 Viktor is slightly slower than prime Chen Long. LCW above 30 was still a force to reckon with, until 2018. But if we take LCW from 2009-2015, I think LCW will win most of the time.
One big difference between LCW and Lin Dan is shot quality. Lin Dan has the most efficient attack in history, one flick of the wrist and it's done. One jump and it's done for 98% of players. If you are LCW level, it takes Lin Dan 2 jumps. The one that beats Lin Dan are basically someone either more efficient (which is impossible), or someone who lasts longer in stamina with perfect defenses. This ties down to 4 people in history who might rival Lin Dan: Chen Long 2016 (equal in stamina and defenses), Momota 2019 (equal in stamina and defenses), Axelsen 2021 (equals or better in attack). LCW 2011 (equals in defenses). But Lin Dan has everything everyone above has, and extra. Lin Dan is like Momota with Axelsen's attack, Chen Long defenses, and Momota's stamina. It takes a robot to beat him.
You forget that he is imo by far the best tactician in badminton history. Never seen a player as deliberate as him. That single handedly carried him to WC final in 2017 despite being severely slower and less powerful than his peers.
LD last shot. How tf do you hit that from that spot that fast (looked like a regular smash speed), and make it land where it did? Didn't even jump too. And probably disguised as hell
now that axelsen won two golden medals, lee chong wei is the undisputed goat 🐐🐐🐐, as he is better than axelsen (11-3 h2h) and axelsen is better than lin dan (6-3 h2h)
He would smoke LCW but not Lin Dan. Haters gonna defend LCW, but with what Axelsen showed in this Olympic, he is second best of all time. Almost no weakness in his gameplay like Lin Dan in 2008 and 2012.
Sen was playing better than him for most parts of the game according to axelsen himself which means sen with stronger mental strength would beat axelsen…. I don’t really see him having a chance against any of prime lcw or ld or momota
ABOUT TIME BABY!! Big thanks you get to upload this one now 😁
LCW is really unlucky to be born in the same era as LD. Viktor has 2 olympic gold medals and LCW has 0. But prime LCW is better than Viktor.
What is the colour of lcw Olympic medal is ??...axelsen >>lcw

Absolute quality game.. Have never seen such a quality game in recent years😢😢

Momota is quite tactical too , but LD got the whole package .....
Axelsen's attack is efficient because he is really tall ....
Love this comment!
On which day this match happened????

one of LD's signature slice (early stage)
nice video. but pls remove the background music, it's distracting.
Imagine this Lin Dan with his 2008 Olympic motivation.
