    Thank you for the tour George. I had crammed my shop space into a relatively small basement, but still substantially larger than yours, when my wife recommended that I build a dream shop. I was already in my mid 60's when my shop became a reality. I put up a 4600 SF building with about 3200 SF dedicated shop space. My 16'+ ceilings currently allow a 3T crane and a 14K vehicle lift. I set up a pretty extensive machine shop in the new building and converted my basement shop exclusively to woodshop. I keep and collect fewer trophy tools than drives you, but I do have some trophies. An old man shouldn't enjoy this much shop space and I can't legitimately justify it, but it is a lot of fun. I have 18 grandsons and their dads (8) to dilute my horde when it comes time for the wife to dispose of my stuff.

    • @Uwannawatch
      @Uwannawatch  5 месяцев назад

      Hey Paul I am very envious of your shop space and if you are enjoying yourself and have made it this far in life then no need to worry about justification. Sounds like you are very practical about how you are using your shop. It's good to hear that your tools and such will be left to good hands. Take care my friend and we'll catch up later.

    I see problems; I'm also very perplexed.
    With not one, but two sanctuaries, you can't exactly be sent to the Dog House with any level of firmness of purpose.
    ......moreover,.....The Sender, the lovely Mrs. Uwannawatch, is up to her elbows at the flea markets as well.....making her, by all counts, an accomplice ?

    That's some collection George ! What do you actually do for a job ? Are those tools used at your work, or purely for your hobbies ? Thanks for the tour - fascinating. Take care 🙂. Michael in England.

    You have a really nice shop George! I just have a 10x12 shed in the back yard. No power but a cord from the house. What is the pins in the map for?

      Thank You! I didn't have an indoor shop space for a long time. They are where my subscribers are when they let me know where in the world they are I put a pin in.

    No wonder why old tools are so hard to find…. You have them all. There comes a point where you certainly don’t need another old tool you are essentially stocking up for you estate sale. My theory is that if I have one already I don’t need another, and if I don’t use it in over 2 years I don’t need it.

      I don't have all of the old tools and certainly not as many as some other guys. A lot of my overflow gets sold, traded and donated. Luckily my wife enjoys this hobby as well and she knows the worth of my collection if she or my kids ever decide to sell it off.
