I think the 'adapted flare' you found was modified so it would burn slowly when lit from the top with the cap removed, perhaps either as a personal light or heat source? You did say it got pretty cold out there, so perhaps they had to develop their own ways of keeping warm?
Ohhhhh yehhhhhh another video. Thinks its a parachute flare. God I miss deploying to Norway when I served. Loved the place. As norm keep good work up pal. ❤
Hi Mike - missed your videos. You always show the most different and unique finds. Better break out the long-johns if you spend more time up in my Mothers country...
Hi mike nice to see you back my friend that was a great video finding items on the top of the ground there was somethings clear stay safe and wait for your next one comming out 👍👍👍🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
First time ever watching one of your videos and you got me hooked already just because of your Tunes I'm still watching as I am typing first off you guys in Europe have great places to hunt for WWII & I Treasures I am actually jealous because I am on Vancouver Island and the only battles that we have had here was between The First Nations (Nitnat Tribes) and the Spanish in the 1700s and there is a whole story in itself about the Spanish being killed to almost the last man and supposedly buried their before trying to make it back to their ships anyways I am carrying on. I really enjoyed your video Liked n' Subscribed. Cheers guys
Hi! You are so knowledgeable about these war finds, as if you were in the war yourself. Great locations and nice video. I understand you are from Germany? I dig in Belarus, Ukraine, Poland and Czech Republic. Good luck!
16:35 Those are interesting finds. Per Wikipedia: The Fallschirm Leuchtpatrone or "parachute light cartridge" was a non-lethal star shell that was developed by Germany and used by the Wehrmacht during World War II. The Fallschirm Leuchtpatrone was designed to be fired from a Kampfpistole flare gun.
They had some special high altitude flare with rooves on Mike. It meant the flare could be seen by your help below without attracting enemy aircraft above
Those 45gal drum lids are old because the ones today you can almost play Frizbee with them cause they are so light in weight I believe that the ones you found were in use from the 30s to late 60s
The Madsen magazine caused me to research the caliber; it has been produced in twelve different calibers, currently in 7.62x51 (NATO). Yours could be marked and help determine the age.
WIFO could be "Wirtschaftliche Forschungsgesellschaft". I found the following on Wikipedia: "Economic Research Society mbH, Legal form GmbH, Founded in 1934, Dissolution in 1970, Based in Berlin, Raw material logistics, fuel production industry The Wirtschaftsforschungsgesellschaft mbH (WiFo for short) was a front company founded in Berlin in 1934 by the Reich Ministry of Economics, which was responsible for the procurement, storage and production of raw materials important to the war effort and was thus intended to ensure the Wehrmacht's logistics. Its main task was the construction of secret large-scale tank farms, and it was also responsible for the operation of mineral oil tank cars, tankers, the expansion of transport routes and the operation of plants for the production of chemical raw materials such as nitric acid. WiFo continued to exist after the war and then dissolved itself until 1970, with the successor companies now being privatized." Cheers and best finds! 😊🖖
I found hundreds of thousands of Hitler soldiers, they're here in America, we just call them police over here😁I also found the official police training manual, it's called MEIN KAMPF 😁
