the large house nearby was most likely used as a local HQ or rest area for officers or injured soldiers, maybe it had field artillery or anti air emplacement! many large mansions were seized and used by nazis!
It's so astounding to me that there's still so many rifles lying around, you would think they would have all been collected immediately after the war or after a battle was fought
The NIVEA tube is a tube of very thick cream, mostly, for hands, but for any skin that is chapped or cracked to help moisten it. The cap has the company’s logo for Procter and Gamble. It must be WWII because the middle initial was dropped many years ago in the USA.
Hahaha both intro and outro showed some spotinuity... I am so happy to see another video of you again, always in good spirits and finding awesome awesome stuff. Thanks so much for showing :) Can't wait for the next one. Groetjes & HH
New subscriber! You’re awesome!!! Fabulous finds. Respect of nature too...good for yu! It would be soo easy to encroach on the owners property ...and probably get away with it. You have the integrity to do the right thing and get permission BEFORE yu dig! (Me clapping my hands together for YU!)
Hi Lukas! Wauw, thanks! Let me know if I you need advice or tips. Add me on facebook! I'm curious about your (first) finds.
can you do notification shout outs please and upload more ? I really like your channel, I just stumbled on to your time capsule video and I totally loved it, I subscribed and liked ur vid and turned notifications in I will watch all videos
Man, it is a *very* good thing to see a content notification from you. Great finds, and just another all around awesome video. Was that sniper rifle a Mauser 98K with a 4X, the Czech version, or maybe a Russian Mosin PEM? Could not tell, but that was an especially neat find. And a massive "LOL!" at the dish washing "incident" at the end. 😂
Thanks David! Glad you enjoyed the video. Really don't know what type the gun was. It was in real bad shape, it just crumbled in my hands. I was glad to get the most of it on video (psstt.. bit of a spoiler but patrick found a k98 sniper version, but you'll see that in another video).
Thoroughly enjoyed it, as I do with all your videos. And you are more than welcome. I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we are very glad you got that on camera, too, and it really furthered the trip back into the WWII era. Oh, and that is the best kind of spoiler! I cannot wait to see that. But your secret is safe with me. ;)
David Marks it has the slender look of a Mosin but I don't know if there was any Russian snipers camped in the woods around Berlin, I would think that the red army would have been too preoccupied in the city, so I'd say it's probably a Mauser from a German who was dug in for the final fight
Hey Mike I am enjoying your videos. what are you actually doing with all the stuff you find? I guess you Bury most of it again. what have you brought home so far? would it be possible to see the collection. Regards
Hi T! The large rusty crappy stuff gets reburied. I usually take the smaller good looking stuff with me, but I don't take ammo and the 'I don't knows' that could be dangerous. What I have brought so far isn't that much, just the smaller stuff. I've got a small collection which I found, traded and also bought here and there. Don't want to make a video of it, but could put up some pictures on facebook if you like. facebook.com/IronMikeMetalDet
Hi Mike, I'm wondering why you can't keep old spent bullets or rusty old shells? Is there a limit on what you can keep? Can you sale any of the relics you find? Great Hunting
Hi Cheryl, sorry for the late reply. I can keep fired/empty casings but not the live ones because of strict European gun-laws. I could sell what I find but I rarely do. Good things I'd like to keep for myself.
@14:08, I didn't know that Nivea was a German company, it's been a household name in UK for as long as I can remember!, you learn something new every day!! Nivea (pronounced [niˈveːaː]) is a German personal care brand that specializes in skin- and body-care. It is owned by the Hamburg-based company Beiersdorf Global AG. The company was founded on March 28, 1882, by pharmacist Paul Carl Beiersdorf.
The struggle and the sacrifices they all went through won't be forgotten as long as folks like you remind us of their/our past. Thank you.
The blue Thing looks like an Ink block for an official stamp for stamping papers.
i think so too, was just about to comment this
Yep, it is a Stamper !
the large house nearby was most likely used as a local HQ or rest area for officers or injured soldiers, maybe it had field artillery or anti air emplacement! many large mansions were seized and used by nazis!

Just subscribed, Mike. Excellent vids of your adventures. I may be wrong, but the blue case looks like a box for holding a medal. Hank
Hi Hank, for for the sub! yeah could be but most people think it's an ink-pad.

Hi Steven! Bedankt voor 't kijken!. Stempeldoosje hoor ik hier veel, zou zeer goed kunnen. Fotolijstje kan ook nog.
Groeten vanuit Holland!
That ribbon bar has a War Merit Cross with swords and what looks like an Italian/ NA campaign ribbon.
"....somebody burried his very large wife here" haha classic!
Congratulations...im luiz from brasil
Hi Luiz! Thanks for watching.
Weer een goede video Mike 👍🏻 keep up
bedankt voor het kijken Bram!
That's a World war 1 ribbon. You're holding it up side down. "Medal-1st-worldwar" according to this website I'm looking at. Amazing find.
If I'm not mistaken the armoured vehicle tank tracks are actually from a 'Kettenrad' tracked motorcycle.
All the best.

This blue part is a Stamp pillow for blueing stamps!!!!!
That is the ribbon of medal 🥇 and the crossed swords means that this person got either a higher decoration or multiple of the same decorations .
The rims are off a Auto Union vehicle. There known today as Audi.

Tin with bluish stuff inside was an ink stamp pad.
Hi from Sweden
Connecting rod and piston

Schedel is best beschadigt, het mist het neusgedeelte. Maar het is van een ree idd, dus je zat goed met "deer" ;)
Deer.. een soort grote versie van een ree toch? :)
An ink pad for official rubber stamps.
hey mike hope every thing is ok you havent posted for a while love you videos
Your unspent shells you burried, the necked down ones, looked like Russian 7.62x25 tokarev from pistol or machine gun
Since you are detecting in a former war zone , how do you deal with the possibility of finding unexploded bombs , or land mines , grenades etc ?
I say my prayers and wear earpluggs ;-)
Nivea Zahnpasta is from the 1930’s era. For those that can’t read german, it is toothpaste.

thanks Manjit! :)
Ink pad used for rubber stamps.
Do you bury the casings or only the live rounds? You showed a handful of both.
Hi Eric! Usually just the live rounds. Gun-laws are strict here, it's illegal to own or carry live ammo.
3.53 Volt meter casing
10.59 possibly an ink pad. For all those Stamps the Nazi’s lived too use!.
Nice funds tho
13:07 made the video!
Why couldn't he take some of the stuff with him?
Piston and piston rod...
Why are there guns in the ground? Did they drop them or get killed and left them?
Jerry Cunningham both . over time the mud and dirt go over it
