Spent many an hour in Dolby watching the Lombard when it was the full 5 days. Always amazed me how the Austrian fans had a full cooked breakfast every morning no matter what the weather was doing. The 1980s were the best days of rally. Quattro, 205 T16, Stratos a real monster and thousands of Escorts.

Couldn’t agree more. Those were definitely the halcyon days of rallying,it’s not quite the same now. There’s nothing quite like the sound of a bad on full chat.

We were stood a little further on , at the downhill left from your off .
One of your crew came running down , and we told him you had not been past so he was able to narrow down your location .
You were looking fast prior to that so don't be too hard on yourself .

If you are not having offs then you are not trying hard enough. Mistakes give you experience and knowledge. Keep it up Jack.

I was in Dalby at J28 on Saturday. The car looked and sounded great.
You’ll know for Malton to keep it right.
I’ll be in Langdale watching out for you.
You’ve done really well for your first season. You’ve upped the game from the Pinto car to the BDA and getting good times on all the stages. The car is obviously well sorted and very competitive.
Everyone makes mistakes. You’ll know next time round. Onwards and upwards Jack.

Good effort jack if in doubt flat out you have to crash to find the limits bda is not easy to drive
