After 2 years, I still LOVE my Presto digital canner. The kitchen stays SO much cooler than when I use a stove-top canner, and I don't have to watch it like a hawk. As huge as it looks on the counter, it doesn't hold as much as a regular canner does, but I'm ok with that trade-off. BTW, I use my mushy canned sweet potatoes in sweet potato biscuits.

I pressure can on my glass top stove all the time, but I made sure that the stove's owners manual said I could and I bought a canner that said it was "induction safe" to make sure it would work. I've notice that the eye only goes on and off if the canner is not lined up or the wrong size for the eye (too big OR too small). As long as I put the canner on the right size burner and make sure it's directly over the eye then I don't have any trouble with the electric burners going off. I really wanted a gas stove but I had to buy a new stove in 2020 when appliances were in short supply and this is what I could find/afford at the time. I'm making due with it for now. Thanks for showing how you can frozen sweet potatoes, Wanda!

Oh Wanda, i really wish you'd do more research on electric canners. None of them have been approved because they don't always hold the pressure or temperature for the required time. Even if Red Rose tested it herself and said it was ok. Even if the canner says it was made for canning. You don't take chances with Rebel canning, why would you take the chance with the canner? Red Rose is a nice lady with a science background but she is just another Utube Creator and why take the chance? Call your local extention office and hear what they have to say about a electric canner.
Hope you will show us your cranberry sauce recipe. I'm the only one that loves it and it would be great to have half pints and pints on my shelf for just me!
