The ground your potatoes were in is beautiful. Watching Chris dig them with his hands was wonderful. I am so glad that Chris is helping you and learning at the same time. There are so few young people who want to know how to take care of themselves.
You got a good deal of fingerlings and other potatoes. I like what Chris said, " A sharp shovel and advil". LOL Good to see how your planting the sweet potatoes. You've got a good share of cherokee beans and peas and a nice looking tomato. Definitely hot there. Thanks for sharing what your up to. Continued blessings to you both
That Chris is an awesome young man to help y’all garden. That way he can glean from the wisdom you have. He is defiantly a keeper! I’m sure y’all are a blessing to each other.
I got all three of your manuals, and the garden areas are still in development. Will definitely need more raised beds because most of what the ground raises is rocks. I’ve been praying for y’all to get the hay put up before the dry ends, and then that y’all get ABUNDANT showers of blessings - without any storm damage. The weather report today says that it’s likely to rain for y’all. Be richly blessed.
I'm in Southwest Mississippi and we got nearly 4 inches of rain last night. We were already 8 inches above normal for the year. We have rain coming in tonight as well. We had the worst drought in the state last Summer and Fall. Dead Pine trees and Oak trees everywhere. We wouldn't have dry soil now even if we did have sandy soil like y'all have.
Ow how I wish I was young again LOL. Thank Y'all for sharing. Grew reds this year and some white potato's which we harvested a few days ago. For sure next year only reds. Much better production. Sweet potato's already planted use y'alls manual and we have bumper crops. Y'all must have filmed this last week here in South East Louisiana we were in the field every night after work and the heat and humidity was so bad I came in looking like i just jumped in a pool LOL. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed day.
Happy taters of all kinds ..blessed the ones ready to Harvest.& blessed the sweet ones to future Harvest..❤ Y'all have a good day at Pecan Grove Thanks for sharing Mr Danny and Miss Wanda tell that young gentleman Mr Chris stay humble be blessed always❤
I have learned a lot about sweet potatoes from y'all over the years. & have been growing our own slips for several years now. Great to see you getting them in the garden!
I'll have to check out those manuals! I tried planting sweet potatoes in the ground last year but then I wasn't prepared to dig them up. I found some but not most 🙄 The good news is now I'm finding a lot of slips growing in the ground. I've been putting them in containers. Wish me luck Lol 🙏😎
Nice Harvest. You guys inspire me to keep working my meager garden. I am excited to watch it grow and eventually harvest fresh vegetables. Mine just went in this past week here in Northeast Ohio. Learning a lot from your channel. I love your calm, grounded attitudes. Such a blessing.
Danny if I could send you some of our rain I would. We've had so much rain we can't even mow our grass. Don't get me wrong I am thankful for the rain because this time last year we were in a drought. I absolutely say that it's been years since we had rain about every other day. Thank You for sharing all your tips. Much love from our family to your family 💞
You just made me realize that I haven’t seen any stink bugs this year either. I’m over here in Louisiana, the Florida Parishes. I’m not missing those little buggars, lol. Y’all take care.
Planting mine this week. The sun is only shining twice a week on average in my area , not raining much, just cloudy. It’s really slowed my growth on things, especially my tomato plants. Thankful things are growing, just saying.
What is your thoughts on fingerling taters in containers? Tried regular potatoes in containers and it wasn't a great success. Live in East Palestine, Ohio and not planting anything in the contaminated ground.
Mr. Danny if you’re called home one day and Wanda is still down here can she drive that car drive that medium size tractor and plant potatoes and learn how to do all that that shifting I see you on the tractor but I don’t see Miss Wanda and I think practice makes perfect What do you think I’m just Ashton I’ve seen a lot of women i’ve seen women where Hashman did everything the banking I mean you name it and then, when they passed on the woman didn’t know what in the world to do, she was in the dark I know Miss Wanda can do a lot of things, but I’d like to see her using those tools on those tractors
Thanks for sharing

This shows man growing his food by the sweat of his brow. This is how it’s done.
good video
I am recommending
'gobooodles" as 2024 word of the year in Oxford English Dictionary. Maybe 2025
🤣
Danny i have a question???
WHAT PART OF "GROVE" MEANS "LIMITED SPACE", 😊
Looks more like sand than dirt
That's what you want for sweet potatoes.
Does Chris have a big garden growing too Ya'll?
Yes he plants a lot
Did you guys change the name or is it a new farm?
What is your thoughts on fingerling taters in containers? Tried regular potatoes in containers and it wasn't a great success. Live in East Palestine, Ohio and not planting anything in the contaminated ground.
We've done both here with great success. Key is not to much water and good fertilizer.
How do you keep your potatoes?
Store them in a cool dark place not piled on top of each other.
Why did you have to move the slips?
They were growing from the potato. They want grow new potatoes if left on the mother potato.

I never did like sweet taters
Them trees are stealing the water and nutrients along the edge....have experienced that first hand🫤
