- I lost my pet Chicken...
Then I discovered it was in the pan. (Don't worry)
Subscribe for animal adventures at least every two weeks.
So I had a sweet chicken that was really my friend.
Then I lost it and I was really sad.
Txt in this video:
I had a small pet-chicken that I was fond of
One day she just disappeared
Some days later I found her in the pan
Here is what happened
Here she is, I like her a lot
I spoil her with treats
Her name is 'Kippiekip'
This translates into 'Chickychick'
Several times a day she comes inside for some attention
For moths this was our daily routine:
Every morning she would wake up in her plant...
Play in the garden...
After some time she would get a treat and we would talk a little...
She would come in to get some attention... five times...
I would let her in for the night...
We would work...
Finally I would tell her goodnight and she would go to sleep in her plant.
Every single night!
And then, a couple of weeks ago...
After a normal day...
Alright, no worries...
Sometimes she's just a little late...
But when it was dark...
This was weird
I searched a long time.
but she just wasn't there
Of course the next morning I looked for her again
Ok, now I really started to worry
Nowhere!
I rang all the neighbour's doorbells...
And checked their gardens...
No one had seen her
A hawk? A cat?
After three days still nothing
She was really gone, my 'Kippiekip'
And then... the next evening, when I wanted to cook a meal...
What the...?!
The sweetheart, she was trying to become a mother
As you might know, we don't have a rooster
So the next day, I got her some fertilized eggs...
And a more comfortable nest
21 days later I heared something
The chick was ready to hatch so Kippiekip started to help
The next morning the first one...
and that night
They grew rapidly
and after a week I put them outside
Mum war happy to be outside again...
But for the chicks it was much to cold
So when mum called them
So now they all live inside
And where do they sleep, you wonder?

I wonder if they recognize it's not their same eggs and they don't mind, or if they realize there's now way they could turn into babies since there was no rooster around, I know you can fool a bird about their own eggs, tho

Hey there! I have watched this video so many times, but forgot to say something! In 2020, I got a six-batch of blackstar hens, and one of them I had named after this hen, Kippie-Kip. She was my favorite… sadly, in early 2021, she had been taken by a raccoon. Thank you for making all these helpful and great videos!

A beautiful story ! It reminds me of a hen I`ve been close to before. She was of a rusty brown color and I had called her "Cocotte". She had come to me out of the blue and we became very close friends. She was one among many other ones living on a farm. I was just helping out and one day I had to leave. I will always remember her as " my Cocotte ! "
Can I just say this: apart from being a great example to others in caring for animals, you're also a very skilled story-teller and video editor. Choice and pacing of music is brilliant too. You say in advance this story has a happy ending and I've even SEEN this vid before, but I'm still an emotional wreck at the end.

I remember the time my budgie flew to the top of the kitchen cabinets and sat there, silently, watching my family look everywhere for him. I'm sure he was laughing hysterically inside.
@@walllyisbestbird5227 This will make me sound like a bad bird mommy, but one time I left a roll of paper towels sitting upright on the kitchen counter & some how my Toti budgie crawled inside the roll & got stuck! She was only missing for about 20mins, but I was a mess trying to find her. I could hear her scratching, but she wasn't chirping. I finally followed the scratching noises to the paper towel roll & found her upside down in there! She was fine, but I felt awful. It could have ended badly if I wasn't at home. Ever since then I never leave paper towel rolls or anything like it just laying around. Fortunately it's a cute story that I look back on & giggle about. Toti loved exploring everything.

You touched a place, i put up walls around to protect. Didn't work with this video. At 62 i teared up good. With both Joy and anger. No not angry towards this at all. Anger that two legged predators made many of my fowls meet a bad ending or just vanished. And those that allowed them to get away with such acts. My hat is off to you in what you did for the wanna be a momma bird. That is stellar! Funfact: The first noise a mother bird makes towards it's children is their name. When you called her Kippi-kip, you could hear her repeat her name. You could also hear she named her children similar things.

What a beauty! I love her name and her looks,. I even named one of my pet chickens "Kippiekip" I had a rooster, and 3 more hens. Jack, Jessica, Rose and Silver and kippiekip! Sadly near March, my rooster Jack had died, on October 2020 rose died, and my dad had to slaughter silver since she was also sick. I have Jessica and kippiekip left. I will become a RUclipsr dedicated to saving animals like you do 💜💙🖤🐣🐔🐇

The bond between Man, or Woman, and their birds. It is a lovely thing. When you invest in their life they invest in yours. I had one chick who decided she wanted to break the brooder from day one to sleep with me. She always will have a special place in my heart especially since to this day she gives the best cuddles.
