How about Jude 9 where the Bible talks about the Angel of God conflicting with the Angel of the devil about the body of Moses? And when Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus at the transfiguration, where did they come from? And when Jesus said Abraham was happy to see him, what did he mean?
@RidgewayCatholic Good points! I hope you take heed of Revelation 18:4! I was a cradle Catholic until I started to study the Bible more intently. Please read my other replies here.
1. Moses was the first person Jesus Christ raised from the dead. That was new to Satan so there was conflict. Satan lost. 2. You already know where Moses came from. He had been resurrected. The following verse explains what happened to Elijah. "And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." 2 Kings 2:11. 3. Regarding Abraham, when Abraham was alive, Christs future ministry had been revealed to him. You can read in Genesis 20 that Abraham was a prophet.
@@martinlohne5128 Have you considered Jacob’s account in Genesis 28:12? “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.” I think those “angels” are coming down to be the promised descendants of Abraham. Jesus spoke to Nicodemus of this, John 3:13, “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.” Notice where Jesus says the scribes and Pharisees came from, John 8:13, “And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.” I think those last two verses somehow put a time stamp on this verse: Revelation 12:4, “And his (the great red dragon’s) tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”
Genesis 2:1, "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and ALL the host OF THEM." Exodus 12:41, "And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt." Ecclesiastes 1:9-10, "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us." Genesis 28:12-15, "And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of." John 1:51, "And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man." John 3:13, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." Nicodemus came to Jesus and made the statement that Jesus must have come from God (Heaven) in order to do the things that He was doing. Jesus goes on to explain that every man that goes up to Heaven, something a Pharisee hoped to do, must first have come down from Heaven. When God said, "Let us make man in our image" He was talking to the hosts, which at that moment were all in Heaven. God was made in His image, Jesus, and you and I are made in our image. God is the LORD of hosts. Hosts are souls. Angels are souls. We all have to be born FROM above if we are to be over comers. Hebrews 2:10, "For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things (that is, God), in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings." Hebrews 2:11-18 "For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, HE ALSO HIMSELF likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted." People, do not listen to any man's interpretation of Scripture without checking him out in the Word (1 Corinthians 14:29-33). Lastly, consider what is taught in Hebrews 9 concerning the purification by blood. Understand the context of verse 23, "It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things IN THE HEAVENS should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these." Our souls are judged, not our flesh. Ecclesiastes 12:7, "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."

@@cozmikhugs3655You left the fulfillment verses out: Matthew 27:52-53, “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.” Both the just and the unjust resurrect. They have to go before Jesus. There is no “2nd resurrection” of damnation. Revelation 20:6, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” The second death is one’s soul is cast into the lake of fire. That happens after the Great White Throne Judgment. Ecclesiastes 12:7 begins with the word “then”, not “later.” There is no one in the grave. The flesh is returned to the earth. The spirit is the individual, and each person’s spirit is the life of their flesh and their soul.

When Jesus woke up Lazarus he didn't tell him to come down (from heaven) but to come out. And to think of it if it was the case that he went to heaven don't we believe that Lazaris would have been very angry at Jesus for bringing him back to earth when he was in heaven a wonderful place where there is no pain or sorrow. And if he went to heaven why didn't he testify how wonderful it was there. Lazarus' sister even told Jesus before he resurrected Lazarus that she knew that he would wake up on the last day (the last day is the day Jesus would come back for His children, the second coming)
What about the transfiguration where Moses and Elijah appeared? (Luke 9:30,31). We know that moses died (Deut.34:5-7) which happens about 1480 years earlier than the transfiguration? Kindly explain.
My brother, thank you for the question. I know you didn't ask me, but I thought I could be of help answering that. Well, your answer is in Mathew 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. As you can see, it was a vision, not that Moses and Elijah had resurrected from their graves, or came from heaven, but it was a vision.
As you can read in Jude 9, Moses had been resurrected. As you can read in 2 Kings 2:11, Elijah had been translated without dying. Moses and Elijah met with Jesus; they were not seen in a vision. This was something Jesus didn't want publicized until after His resurrection. The state of the dead is commonly misunderstood because people don’t understand English. NO Greek or Hebrew is needed to understand this. In summary: 1. “Soul” can mean a person or that part of a person you could call mental processes or intellectual processes. That means a person (or soul) also has a soul. You can learn this easily from an English dictionary. Here is corroborating Scripture. Here’s a verse in which “soul” means a person. In this verse “breath” does NOT mean air. Breath is metaphorical language for the life-giving principle the Creator put into the dust a person is made of. “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7. In the following verse “soul” means a person’s intellectual processes. “And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.” Genesis 35:18. Here is a verse in which “spirit” means man’s intellectual processes. “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” Ecclesiastes 12:7. 2. The soul, meaning the intellectual processes of a person, does not die until they have been judged and found not worthy of eternal life. The following verse clearly teaches man can destroy the body but only God can destroy the soul in hell fire. “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28. 3. God keeps a memory of all that constituted our thought processes in a SLEEPING state when our body dies until the resurrection of the body. At the resurrection, the sleeping soul, or you could say spirit, of a person is restored to a body in an awake state. “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 9:5-6. “So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.” 1 Kings 2:10.
What about the great cloud of witnesses referred to in Heb 12:1? They seem to be the ones who have already died in Christ & they are cheering us on in the Christian faith. I believe your interpretation leaves a lot to be desired.
Plus all the souls of the martyrs in heaven in the Book of Revelation: Revelation 6:9-11: "The souls of martyrs are seen gathered under the altar. They cry out in a loud voice, asking, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" In response, God gives each martyr a white robe and tells them to wait until more martyrs are added to their number before he takes vengeance." There is also scripture showing that the soul leaves the body upon its death: Luke 8:53-55 "And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. But taking her by the hand he called, saying, “Child, arise.” And her spirit returned, and she got up at once."

So, to be absent from the body means the body is dead and returns to dust. A memory of all that constituted a person's mental processes in a sleeping state until the resurrection of a new body at which time the person's soul, or spirit, is restored to the new body in an awake state.

What about the thief on the cross.....Jesus told him that today he would be with Jesus in Paradise. Also the Bible says to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord.
1. Read John 20:17. He met Mary after His resurrection and said he hadn't yet ascended to His Father. For this reason the thief could not have been with Jesus in Paradise on the same day Jesus was crucified and died. Early Greek manuscripts had no capital letters, no spaces between words and no punctuation. Early English also had no capital letters, spaces between words or punctuation. When the King James Version (KJV) of 1611 was published, punctuation hadn't been standardized. A comma wasn't used to change the meaning of s sentence like it is today. The error is in new bibles published where punctuation had been standardized. That's obvious because of the contradiction between the thief on the cross story and that of Mary meeting the resurrected Christ. 2. A human being is composed of a body and an intangible element you could call mental or intellectual processes. As you can find out using an English dictionary, a human being can be called a "soul" and the mental processes of that human being can also be called a "soul." You could say a soul has a soul. That said, at the death of the body, the soul sleeps until the resurrection of a new body. "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. [6] Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. [10] Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, 10. When you understand this, being absent from the body and present with the Lord is easily explained. God keeps a memory of all that constituted our mental process in a sleeping state when we die and restores those mental processes in an awake state to a new body at the resurrection of the body.

Depending on the context in which it's used, the word "spirit" can mean different things. You can confirm this with your Bible and with an English dictionary. A "spirit" can be the Holy Spirit, an evil spirit or demon or the intangible mental processes of a person. When our body dies, all that constituted our mental processes is kept safe in the memory of God in a sleeping state until the resurrection. At the resurrection those mental processes are restored to a new body in an awake state.
@@martinlohne5128 I would call that a human spirit that does not have eternal life - but a record of our life : As Job 32:8 says, man has a spirit that provides him with understanding, and Paul explains in I Corinthians 2:11 that it endows humanity with intellect. This spirit in man comes from God (Zechariah 12:1) and returns to Him when we die (Ecclesiastes 12:7; Acts 7:59).
Didn't Jesus make the statement, to the thief on the cross - ''Today you will be with me in Paradise'' Also, in relating to the deaths of the rich man and the poor man, both being in Sheol - (different parts of course) set some spirits free? Yes, that's the way it is. "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:2.
The question about us having an immoral soul is clearly stated in the Book of Genesis 2 verse 7. In reality our immortal souls is the breath of GOD in us. When we die, what happens is that breath or soul needs to return to GOD, it's his breath. In life, the life on this earth we have choices which will eventually determine where we , our souls, will spend eternity. We should do the Wil of GOD and not do or follow our own will to end up in Heaven where GOD and Christ are together with the Holy Spirit which form the Holy Trinity, the Three in One. The greatest gift from GOD, is the gift of everlasting life or eternity through His Son Jesus Christ, John 3 verse 16. Stay blessed everyone and never ceased to pray. May GOD bless us all for spreading his word/gospel Amen.❤❤❤
The soul is NOT something that we possess and lives on after death, that is "breathed into us", for how many have read carefully what Genesis 2:7 says ? It reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became ("become", Hebrew hayah, meaning "to exist, i.e. be or become, prove to be", and NOT put within) a living soul." So, Genesis 2:7 shows that until the first man Adam was "breathed into his face the breath of life" by God, he was a DEAD soul, or a non-breathing soul, for the word soul in Hebrew is nephesh, that literally means "breather, a breathing creature", so that anything that breathes IS a soul and NOT has a soul. For example, at Numbers 31:28, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And thou shalt separate a portion to the Lord from them that fought and were in the battle, one soul of five hundred as well of persons as of oxen and asses and sheep", in which the plunder that the Israelites acquired from them taking vengeance on the Midianites and Moabites for their women seducing Israelite men to worship Baal of Peor in exchange for sex, included people and animals who ARE souls and does NOT possess a soul. At Deuteronomy 12:20, the Catholic Douay Version reads: "When the Lord thy God shall have enlarged thy borders, as he hath spoken to thee, and thou wilt eat the flesh that thy soul desireth", showing the soul is a person desiring to eat "flesh" or meat. At Leviticus 23:29, 30, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish ("perish", Hebrew karath, meaning "to cut off or down, to destroy or consume") from among his people: And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy ("destroy", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy") from among his people." And at Jeremiah 2:34, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And in thy skirts (of the nation of Israel that is described as a wicked woman) is found the blood of the souls of the poor and innocent? not in ditches have I found them, but in all places, which I mentioned before." Thus, after Peter had healed a man lame from birth, he told the Jewish crowd in the temple that it was through Jesus Christ as "God's Servant......the righteous one" that this man was healed (Acts 3:13), with Peter saying at Acts 3:22, 23 according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For Moses said (at Deut 18:15, 18, 19):" "A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me: him you shall hear according to all things whatsoever he shall speak to you. And it shall be, that every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed ("destroyed" Greek exolothreuo, meaning "root out and destroy completely") from among the people." So, what has been learned here ? That (1), the soul breathes, (2) that the soul desires to eat meat, (3) that the soul can be destroyed, and (4) that the soul has blood. So, what is the proper conclusion of what the soul is ? Anything that breathes, such as animals, including insects and arachnids, and it is us as humans, us as a living person with all our desires, so that as long as we are breathing, we are "a living soul", but upon death we become a dead soul. And it need be understood that there is NO purgatory, for when a person dies, they cease to exist, as Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 states according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know NOTHING MORE, neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten." "Their love also, and their hatred, and their envy are all perished ("perished", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy"), neither have they any part in this world, and in the work that is done under the sun."
The only souls that are immortal are those that have accepted Christ as their Saviour and allowed the Holy Spirit to change their lives to be in accordance with His will. The following verse should make clear what becomes of disobedient souls. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28.
@@martinlohne5128 The false doctrine of "hell" as "eternal torments for the wicked" is dependent of the false doctrine of the immortality of the soul, for one cannot exist without the other. But what is the soul ? Here is what the Bible accurately teaches about the soul, that it is not something that God placed within man, but the soul is us with all our desires, for at Genesis 2:7, it says according to the King James Bible: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became (or is and not possesses) a living soul." So, only upon Adam breathing or coming to life did he "become a living soul", and in which before God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life", Adam was a DEAD soul. How many understand what the word "soul" means, say in Hebrew ? It is the Hebrew word nephesh that literally means "breather, a breathing creature", so that everything that breathes and is therefore alive are "living souls", including the animals, birds, fish, insects, arachnids, bacteria, etc. and found 757 times in the Bible. Thus, the soul being anything that breathes, is not immortal, for when a person stops breathing, they die, so that "the soul dies", as Ezekiel 18:4 expresses: "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."(King James Bible) At Deuteronomy 12:20, the King James Bible reads: "When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after", so that the "soul longeth to eat flesh" or meat. At Leviticus 23:30, the King James Bible reads: "And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work (or a person that does any work) in that same day, the same soul (or person) will I destroy from among his people", explaining that any "soul" or person who does any work on the Day of Atonement was to be destroyed, for the Hebrew word used at Leviticus 23:30 is 'abad, that means "to perish (causative, destroy)". At Jeremiah 2:34, the King James Bible reads: "Also in thy skirts (or of Jerusalem that is likened to an unscrupulous woman, see Jer 2:2, 19) is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these", showing that the soul has blood. At Acts 3:23, the apostle Peter, while at the temple, tells the Jews, according to the King James Bible: "And it shall come to pass, that every soul (or person), which will not hear that prophet (Jesus Christ), shall be destroyed ("destroyed", Greek exolothreuo, meaning "to root out and destroy completely" or extirpate) from among the people", so that the soul or us as a person can be destroyed. At Matthew 10:28, Jesus said, according to the King James Bible: "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy ("destroy", Greek apollumi, meaning "to destroy fully") both soul and body in hell", showing that the soul or us as a person is destroyed when thrown into "hell" here, and not tormented, for Jesus used the Greek word apollumi, that means "to destroy fully", and the Greek word gehenna, that the King James Bible reads as "hell", that means everlasting destruction, and whereby Jesus also used gehenna also at Matthew 5:22, 29, 30; 18:9; 23:15, 33. Hence, there is no "immortal soul", but rather the soul is us as a "breather", a living person, and dies when we quit breathing (see James 5:20, KJV), and can be destroyed, totally erased from among mankind, in which if a "soul" is placed in gehenna, they will never "see the light of day" again.(Note: the meaning of gehenna as everlasting destruction is also seen as the symbolic "lake of fire" at Rev 20:14, 15, as "everlasting destruction" at 2 Thess 1:9 as the King James Bible reads, as the "everlasting fire" at Matthew 25:41, as the King James Bible reads, where Satan and his demons are to be thrown into)

You do not need and Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic to show what happens to someone who dies. All you need is the English Protestant Bible and an English dictionary. 3. You are correct in saying that "soul" in the King James Bible (KJB) in Genesis 2:7 means a living person or soul. The word "soul," depending on the context in which it's used, can mean a person or it can mean the intangible intellectual process of that person so, a soul also has a soul. "And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin." Genesis 35:18. If Rachel's body didn't also have a soul its soul couldn't have departed. 4. I am aware that souls that sin die. What is generally not understood is that death of the body and the death of the soul (intellectual processes of the mind) occur at different times. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28. Many Christians have been martyred. Men killed their bodies but weren't able to kill their souls. Only God could kill their souls and God did not kill the souls of the righteous. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." John 8:51. "Never see death" means never die. From God's point of view, the righteous never die because he keeps a memory of their mental processes (or souls) until the resurrection of the body. Their life (of the soul) is hid with Christ in God. "For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory." Colossians 3:3-4. The body and intellectual processes of a wicked person are eventually completely destroyed forever in hell fire after the judgment. 5. Though what is called the soul (intellectual process) of a soul (person) never dies if that person is righteous, that soul (intellectual processes) is sleeping and knows nothing until the resurrection of the body at which time it's reunited with a new body in an awake state. "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun." Ecclesiastes 9:5-6. Understanding these simple concepts will enable you to explain all of those supposedly difficult passages about being absent from the body and present with the Lord, etc. Hebrew and Greek are worthless in explaining this to the average English speaking soul.
@@martinlohne5128 I bring out Hebrew and Greek words to establish their accurate meanings, to assist sincere Bible readers what is "the truth", for practically no one in Christendom makes the effort to VERIFY if a Bible or a religious leader is accurate.(see Acts 17:10, 11) Because the vast majority of people are "blind", and listen to their religious (and political and commercial) leaders who are also "blind", as in Christendom and the rest of the religions of the world called Babylon the Great (Rev 17:5), they "remain in darkness".(see Isa 60:2a) Only those who are the "offspring" ("seed", KJV) of the symbolic "woman" at Genesis 3:15 and seen again in the Bible "book" of Isaiah, as well as at Galatians 4 and Revelation 12, has "the truth" (see Isa 60:1), while the rest of the world under Satan's influence is "lost".(see Rev 12:9) To accurately understand Genesis 35:18, that reads according to the King James Bible: "And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin", it has to be grasped what the soul really is, of life as a breathing creature, be it now or in the future, so that Genesis 35:16-19 is accurately translated as: "Then they pulled away from Bethʹel. And while they were still some distance from Ephʹrath, Rachel began to give birth, and her labor was very difficult. But while she was struggling to deliver the child, the midwife said to her: “Do not be afraid, for you will have this son also.” Just as her life was slipping away (for she was dying), she named him Ben-oʹni, but his father called him Benjamin. So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephʹrath, that is, Bethʹle·hem."(2013 New World Translation) At Matthew 10:28, Jesus stated: "And do not become fearful of those who kill the body (or who we are now as a breathing creature in our present body) but cannot kill the soul (who we are as a person, that can be recreated with a new body in the resurrection); rather, fear him who can destroy both soul and body (or both present and future life, so that this person ceases to exist forever, having no hope of a resurrection if they die) in Ge·henʹna (Greek geenna, meaning "everlasting destruction)." And at John 8:51, Jesus told the Jews: "Most truly I say to you, if anyone observes my word, he will never see death at all", informing them that even if "anyone (who) observes my word" dies, these loyal ones remain alive in Jehovah's memory until the appointed time for their resurrection (be it the "earlier resurrection", Phil 3:11, for "the heavenly calling", Heb 3:1, or general resurrection for those who will live on the earth, John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15), just as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are "alive" in Jehovah's memory, for Jesus told the Sadducees, who did not believe in the resurrection: "The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection (or resurrection to heaven as a "chosen one", Matt 24:22, 24, 31)." "But that the dead are raised up, even Moses made known in the account about the thornbush, when he calls Jehovah ‘the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob.’ He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him."(Luke 20:34-38, 2013 New World Translation) Though long having been dead, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, along with "anyone (who) observes my word" of the "other sheep" (see John 10:16, whereby there are two folds, but one flock) who has died, will be resurrected during Jesus Millennial or 1,000 year reign.(Rev 20:4-6) So, the "soul" means who we are as a breathing, living creature, with all our desires (Hebrew nephesh, meaning literally "a breather, breathing creature", and found 757 times in the Bible; Greek psyche and found 103 times in the Bible) that can be recreated with a new body in the resurrection. This will be either as an immortal spirit (see 1 Cor 15:53, and NOT "immortal soul", for the soul dies or can be destroyed, see Lev 23:29, 30; Isa 53:12; Eze 18:4, 20) in heaven as one of the 144,001 members of God's heavenly Kingdom (Rev 7:4-8; Luke 12:32) or as a "meek" one that will "find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.....forever" on the paradise earth (Ps 37:11, 29; Luke 23:43), as Jehovah originally purposed when he created the first human couple.(Gen 1:26-31)
It is not really that many will be left behind..It is actually that many if not all , wll NEVER find The Way becuz in Every Way as written in Genesis 3:24 says, “He drove out the man(Adam), and at the east of the garden( whole Earth is the Garden) of Eden( with E as in East or The Paradise of God). he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.” .NB..Only the Man was Driven away from the Paradise of God..Eve only volunteered to go with Adam..The Dragon or The Serpent was not Driven out and allowed to stay in The Paradise of God where the Tree of Life is Growing & The River of Life is Flowing.
Then how do you explain this scripture :- 2 Corinthians 5:8 King James Version 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
It is not uncommon for the words of Paul in 2 Cor 5:8 to be taken from their context. The text reads. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. It does not say that being absent from the body means to be with the Lord, that is what many want it to say. Study the text carefully, and determine what the body is that is spoken of and introduced in verses 6-9, and what is meant by being absent from the body? There is nothing in the whole of Paul's testimony in this chapter that is difficult to interpret when kept within its context. If we keep before us what is learned in the previous 2 chapters, we should learn that this expression has a twofold meaning. In the expression “the body”, Christ is said to be the head of the body, that is the Church. The text does not say we are willing to be absent from our bodies, but “the body”. If the body referred to is the Church, there is no difficulty with the text. But, as the text is most commonly understood to apply to our physical bodies, Paul has told us his desire was not to be unclothed, as would be the case if an immortal soul was absent from the body, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. If we claim the body, to apply to our fleshly bodies, then being at home in the body, would be to remain still in this mortal state, and to be absent from the body, and present with the Lord, would be to have mortality swallowed up of life. So when will this become the case? Paul says, For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. And he also shows in 1 Thess. 4:16-17, how we are to be with the Lord. And the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore, we do not learn from the above texts that Paul expected to be with the Lord by death, but by the resurrection.
John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
@@angelamcentee1277 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." John 8:51. "Never see death" means never die. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28. There is death of the body and there is another death; that of the soul. The soul of one who follows Christ never dies. The soul of one who has rejected Christ is eventually completely destroyed in Hell fire.
Yes we all go to Heaven in to the court of the 24 Elders and face Judgement some of us will be in Paridise and some in the cliestiral Heaven and some in in sheol
Unfortunately, with all due respect, your teaching sharply contradicts the Bible and, for that matter, Jesus's own teachings. If we can all agree that the Bible contradicts itself, then I will buy into your narrative. Either way, I will stick to what the Holy Bible says. Jesus himself settled this question in Luke 16:19-31. He was not joking when he gave that account, and it wasn't a "parable"-a mere parable won't have the real names of Abraham, Moses, and others in it. Where the righteous and the ungodly go (Abraham's bosom and Hades, respectively), are not heaven and hell. Rather, it's a place where they all wait until the final day, when they go to heaven or hell proper. Or are we saying Jesus was just happy with himself when he said what he said in Luke 16? And many are deceiving themselves more with a "comma theory" of what Jesus said on the cross.
I would be grateful if you would tell me exactly where you learned that Luke 16:19-31 wasn't a parable. Quite a few people disagree with you. This is something from The Westminster Dictionary of the Bible published by The Westminster Press in 1944. This was a revised edition of a book that had first been published by “The Trustees of the Presbyterian Board of Publication and Sabbath-School Work” in 1898. You can find this in that dictionary under “Lazarus.” “The name of the beggar in the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus.” Here’s some more; this time from Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary published in 1912 under “Lazarus.” “The name of a poor man in the well-known parable of Luke 16:19-31.” And no, we’re not done. This is from The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia published in 1915. “In the parable in Lk 16 19-31, L. is pictured as in abject poverty in this world, but highly rewarded and honored in the next. It is the only instance of a proper name used in a parable by Jesus.” It gets better. This is found under “Lazarus” in the Encyclopedia of Catholicism published in 1995. “Lazarus is also the name of the poor beggar in a parable recounted in Luke 16:19-31.”
That’s not true. Jesus was the first born into heaven and then went into paradise and hell and preached. All believers rose and went to heaven. When Christians die now they go straight to heaven. Apostle Paul said it was better to go and be with Jesus. You have it wrong. After Jesus paid the price for sin heaven was opened for all believers.
Here is the only passage in "the Bible" that can be used to teach Jesus preached in hell after His resurrection. "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits--to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water," 1 Peter 3:18-20 from the New International Version (NIV). That's very easy to understand because it says Jesus' resurrected "spirit" did the preaching. It doesn't say Jesus' flesh and body was resurrected. This contradicts another passage in the NIV. "While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, 'Peace be with you.' They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."" Luke 24:36-39 (NIV). Bibles that say Jesus was raised or made alive "in the Spirit" will all have other errors and shouldn't be trusted. Notice the difference in the following Bible. "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water." 1 Peter 3:18-20 from the King James Version (KJV). The KJV says Jesus was put to death in the flesh and was quickened (brought to life) "by" the Spirit (Holy Spirit). It also says it was "by" that Spirit that the "spirits in prison" had been preached to. The prison the spirits of those who had died in the flood was death. Those persons who died in the flood had been preached to by the Holy Spirit through Noah. "And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;" 2 Peter 2:5 (KJV).
NO. It is the Kingdom that is coming down - Revelation 11:15. And we shall be kings and priest here on earth and we shall reign with Him - Revelation 5:10. Thy Kingdom come - Matthew 6:10 The meek shall inherit the earth - Matthew 5:5 NOT heaven.
Misunderstood. He was telling the thief that day that at the resurrection he would enter the Kingdom. Jesus could not mean the thief would enter the kingdom that day because Christ himself did not go to heaven that day. He was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights (72 hours) so couldn't be in paradise with the thief. He even told Mary when he appeared after his resurrection not to touch Him since he still hadn't gone to heaven.
The meaning changes when we deal with the comma in the statement. See the difference here, "I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise"(now) and "I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise" (future). It's a question of a misplaced comma,! Note that Y'shua did not go to heaven the day He was killed. He physically died and was buried therefore, it was not possible to take the other thief to paradise with Him.
This teachings lacks the holy spirit leading... history is not revelation. the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life. The motive behind this message is that's no hell fire after dead. People need to sincerely ask God in prayer,...to reveal all biblical truth, the these pour souls,...many will die not accepting the correct truth but remain in a counterfeit teachings that's not doctrinaly sound, @ all,... why do not people not understand wot their Bible tells us, many don't pray before they read their bibles asking God's true doctrines in His word, & have not the correct translations but read from bibles that have been sabbataged back in medieval times, from catholic horrifying times of the reformation as satan used man to add & take away from God's word the Bible so that many will go by the traditions of man, that is not of God's word,...I adore you go & look up {Genisis 2 : 7},...it's crystal clear to me, if it's not to you,...well satan has still got you spiritually blind by his scales upon your eyes,...I pray they be taken off your eyes in Jesus Name & Amen to this, !, I say, & unto this man who has some truth but,...that, not of all the truth on this channel, !!!.
Please reconsider your doctrine. The dead do rise. They started rising at the time of Jesus' resurrection. (The account of them in Matthew 27:55 was foretold of in Daniel 12:1-3.) At that time, the time of the firstfruitS offering, they put on their glorified body. Notice 'firstfruitS' is plural, it was not just Jesus. I did read over the Mike Bennett's piece, "What Are the Resurrections?" and I don't think it is wise to extrapolate that the first fruits go on to die again because those brought back to life, prior to Jesus, came back to life in their current condition and died again. They were not judged at that time. The first fruits were given the gospel and as written in Daniel 12:2, "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." The first fruits were resurrected into their glorified bodies after they believed upon the Gospel. (BTW, that event marked the start of the 'time of trouble', which is much longer than 7 years.) I want to further point out, the first resurrection is continuing, as Paul pointed out in 1 Corinthians 15:23, "But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming." And this will continue until the last, 7th, trumpet sounds. Revelation 10:6-7, "...that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." What is this "time no longer" statement? We, Christians that are alive and remain at Jesus' coming, are changed into our glorified body. Unbelievers don't change until their flesh dies during the pouring out of the vial judgments. The body they change back to is still liable to die. They are not everlasting at this time, just as those that have died not believing upon Jesus. "That there should be time no longer" is addressing the time to obtain salvation by believing upon Jesus. The "mystery of God should be finished" means all have total understanding. They that have not taken part in the first resurrection are judged according to their works after the 1000 years. Finally, Jesus addresses this topic somewhat in Luke chapter 20. Luke 20:38, "For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for ALL live unto him."
Well my brother, I still don't get you well in the matter of resurrection of the dead. You said first resurrection started when Jesus resurrected on the third day? Righteous Abel, Noah, David, a few of them in Hebrews 11? What kind of body did they resurrect with? Was their resurrection different from the resurrection of Lazarus? These people resurrected to physical life, flesh and blood that cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 15:50) The Bible teaches three resurrections, and the first resurrection happens at Christ's second coming..It is called the first because all who have fallen asleep in faith of Christ will be raised to life and it's the first of it's kind. (1st Cor 15:52; 1st Thessalonians 4:15-18; Rev 20:4,5; 1 Cor 15:22,23) I hope this straighten up the point.

Hebrews 11:39-40 [39]These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, [40]since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.
@@JohnOkumu-xo6ux I'm glad you are fine. I will repeat myself and then expound a little. The first resurrection has started, and it will continue until the 7th trumpet sounds. The patriarchs were part of the ones Peter spoke of in 1Peter 3:18-19, " For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;" and in 1Peter 4:6, "For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit." The patriarchs had to wait until Jesus had paid the price. Please understand, the firstfruits are not available until the harvest begins. The first fruits started at Jesus' resurrection: 1Corinthians 15:20, "But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept." And, is finished at the 7th trumpet, which sounds before the pouring out of the vial judgments. We see the totality of the firstfruits here: Revelation 14:4, "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb." Please understand, this is only the firstfruits. It is not the completion of the harvest. Our hope is that many will be converted during the 1000 years of Jesus Christ. I hope this helps.
It's a problem with punctuation being placed in the translation incorrectly, it's supposed to be "Assuredly I say to you today, you will be with Me in paradise."
In Sacred Scripture the term soul often refers to human life or the entire human person. But "soul" also refers to the innermost aspect of man, that which is of greatest value in him, that by which he is mostly in God's image:" soul" signifies the spiritual principle in man. Each person receives their eternal retribution in their immortal soul (spirit) at the very moment of death in a particular judgement that refers their life to Christ : either entrance into heaven, through a purification, or immediately, or immediate and everlasting damnation. When Christ comes again to judge the living and the dead, all the dead will rise. Those who have done good will be re-united with their souls in heaven with new glorified bodies. Those who have done evil will be re-united with their souls in hell.
You are right in saying that "soul" can mean the "entire human person" and and can also mean "the spiritual principle in man." you are one of the few that seem to understand that. That said, the following verses demonstrate that the soul of a wicked person is destroyed in hell and that the punishment of a person doesn't start until after the judgment. The soul of a person that has accepted Christ and follows his teachings will never die; i.e., has obtained immortality. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28. "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:" 2 Peter 2:9. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." John 8:51.
You have to sort out the pre-crucifixion and post-crucifixion statements made by Jesus. Of course nobody living on earth before His mission of redemption went to Heaven - or even Paradise for that matter. Fallen spirits incarnated on earth as humans from Satan's Realm and returned there at the end of their lives. The only souls who returned directly to Heaven were those servants of God who incarnated directly from Heaven in order to serve some purpose in the implementation of God's Plan of Redemption. This mainly included the prophets and certain leaders sent by God who were pure Heavenly spirits not tainted by participation in Lucifer's spiritual revolt against Christ's throne aeons ago, in the way that we are tainted. The repentant thief on the cross was most likely the first fallen soul to start the journey - accompanied by Jesus. The best we can expect is entry to Paradise which is the closest region of Christ's Kingdom to earth. Christ came to earth to redeem us from the sin of apostasy - not the harm we have caused to our fellow humans along the way. No human is fit to enter the dizzy heights of Heaven without considerable purification of the soul.
Actually, three people went to Heaven, also called Paradise, before Christ's mission of redemption. They were, in chronological order: "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5. "And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven." 2 Kings 2:11. "Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee." Jude 1:9.
Anti christ SDA preacher speaking right there.Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life to the father or heaven.Jesus in John 3:13 was speaking before he rose and went up to heaven making it possible for humans to go to heaven if we believe in him
I would have to say no to your question. There's no reason to believe in an afterlife as there's zero evidence. Let's be grateful - who would want to live forever? It's a rather silly idea if one thinks about it.
Yes, actually there is a lot of evidence for the afterlife. Consider the fact that Jesus was crucified and came out of the tomb on the third day alive. He had had his legs broken and a spear had been thrust in his side to make sure he was dead. The people most closely acquainted with him saw him alive and well and spoke with him after his resurrection and his legs weren't broken at that time. Those same people were willing to endure fierce persecution because they saw and believe Jesus Christ had risen. That persecution resulted in Peter being crucified upside down, John being thrown in boiling oil from which he was miraculously delivered but he was then sent to Patmos to live out his days. Stephen was stoned, etc. If those people were willing to give their lives because they believed there was evidence of an afterlife, I consider that excellent evidence of an afterlife. As far as not wanting to live forever, you may change your mind when death is looking you in the face.
@RidgewayCatholic Good points!
The breath go back to God who gave it and body go back to the earth where it come from.and you stay there awaiting the resurrection morning
Thanks for the truth.
Genesis 2:1, "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and ALL the host OF THEM."
Exodus 12:41, "And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt."
Ecclesiastes 1:9-10, "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us."
Genesis 28:12-15, "And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of."
John 1:51, "And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man."
John 3:13, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."
Nicodemus came to Jesus and made the statement that Jesus must have come from God (Heaven) in order to do the things that He was doing.
Hebrews 2:10, "For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things (that is, God), in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings."
Hebrews 2:11-18 "For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted."
People, do not listen to any man's interpretation of Scripture without checking him out in the Word (1 Corinthians 14:29-33).
The spirit that returns to God is the Holy spirit. That filled us while we were flesh.

The following verse is referring to when we leave this Earth and dwell with God. (in KJV it is even labeled Our Heavenly Dwelling)
👑Corinthians 5:8 - We are confident, I say, and WILLING RATHER TO BE absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (We are longing for this)
This is in regards to when Jesus comes. We will leave our Earthly bodies behind and be in our spiritual bodies. 🙏❤
Until Christ coming at the 7th trumpet, we lay in the grave.
👑Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, (1st resurrection) and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (2nd resurrection)
👑John 5:28-29 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

🎯Going to the Greek.
👑Luk 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
The original languages in which the Bible was written didn’t contain any punctuation. And yet, when translators convert a biblical text from Ancient Hebrew or Greek to English, they face the dilemma of how to insert punctuation properly into Scripture.
Jesus was basically saying, "I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise.

Strong's Greek 3326: (a) gen: with, in company with, (b) acc: (1) behind, beyond, AFTER, of place, (2) AFTER, of time, with nouns, neut. of adjectives.
paradise--Παραδείσῳ (Paradeisō)---Noun - Dative Masculine Singular
Strong's Greek 3857: Paradise. Of Oriental origin; a park, i.e., an Eden.
Jesus of course did not return to HEAVEN with is father that day.
Jesus was in the grave for 3 nights and 3 days.

@@cozmikhugs3655You left the fulfillment verses out: Matthew 27:52-53, “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”
Both the just and the unjust resurrect. They have to go before Jesus. There is no “2nd resurrection” of damnation.
Revelation 20:6, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”
The second death is one’s soul is cast into the lake of fire. That happens after the Great White Throne Judgment.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 begins with the word “then”, not “later.” There is no one in the grave. The flesh is returned to the earth. The spirit is the individual, and each person’s spirit is the life of their flesh and their soul.
@@cozmikhugs3655 Matthew 22:32, “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” Nobody is in a hole in the ground, only the flesh they occupied at their passing.
Thank you for the plain truth 😊
When Jesus woke up Lazarus he didn't tell him to come down (from heaven) but to come out. And to think of it if it was the case that he went to heaven don't we believe that Lazaris would have been very angry at Jesus for bringing him back to earth when he was in heaven a wonderful place where there is no pain or sorrow. And if he went to heaven why didn't he testify how wonderful it was there. Lazarus' sister even told Jesus before he resurrected Lazarus that she knew that he would wake up on the last day (the last day is the day Jesus would come back for His children, the second coming)
Great point there. Well said.
Thank you, I think it partially answered my question.
I know for sure that some good souls' vision of Jesus Christ is meaningful- not just a show!
In summary:

To be absent in the body to be present with Lord

What does the scripture that says your spirit goes back to the one that gave it to you mean
Here's a question. Is it possible Jesus returns with new Jerusalem and begins the new heaven and earth?
Yes, that's the way it is.
"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Revelation 21:2.
No, God the Father brings new Jerusalem down to the new heaven and earth. that is after the millennial reign and white throne judgement.
How about Elijah?
It reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became ("become", Hebrew hayah, meaning "to exist, i.e. be or become, prove to be", and NOT put within) a living soul."
So, Genesis 2:7 shows that until the first man Adam was "breathed into his face the breath of life" by God, he was a DEAD soul, or a non-breathing soul, for the word soul in Hebrew is nephesh, that literally means "breather, a breathing creature", so that anything that breathes IS a soul and NOT has a soul.
At Leviticus 23:29, 30, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish ("perish", Hebrew karath, meaning "to cut off or down, to destroy or consume") from among his people: And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy ("destroy", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy") from among his people."
And at Jeremiah 2:34, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And in thy skirts (of the nation of Israel that is described as a wicked woman) is found the blood of the souls of the poor and innocent? not in ditches have I found them, but in all places, which I mentioned before."
Thus, after Peter had healed a man lame from birth, he told the Jewish crowd in the temple that it was through Jesus Christ as "God's Servant......the righteous one" that this man was healed (Acts 3:13), with Peter saying at Acts 3:22, 23 according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For Moses said (at Deut 18:15, 18, 19):"
"A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me: him you shall hear according to all things whatsoever he shall speak to you. And it shall be, that every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed ("destroyed" Greek exolothreuo, meaning "root out and destroy completely") from among the people."
So, what has been learned here ? That (1), the soul breathes, (2) that the soul desires to eat meat, (3) that the soul can be destroyed, and (4) that the soul has blood. So, what is the proper conclusion of what the soul is ? Anything that breathes, such as animals, including insects and arachnids, and it is us as humans, us as a living person with all our desires, so that as long as we are breathing, we are "a living soul", but upon death we become a dead soul.
And it need be understood that there is NO purgatory, for when a person dies, they cease to exist, as Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6 states according to the Catholic Douay Version: "For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know NOTHING MORE, neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten."
"Their love also, and their hatred, and their envy are all perished ("perished", Hebrew ' abad, meaning "to perish, causative, destroy"), neither have they any part in this world, and in the work that is done under the sun."
@@martinlohne5128
The false doctrine of "hell" as "eternal torments for the wicked" is dependent of the false doctrine of the immortality of the soul, for one cannot exist without the other. But what is the soul ? Here is what the Bible accurately teaches about the soul, that it is not something that God placed within man, but the soul is us with all our desires, for at Genesis 2:7, it says according to the King James Bible: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became (or is and not possesses) a living soul."
So, only upon Adam breathing or coming to life did he "become a living soul", and in which before God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life", Adam was a DEAD soul.
Thus, the soul being anything that breathes, is not immortal, for when a person stops breathing, they die, so that "the soul dies", as Ezekiel 18:4 expresses: "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."(King James Bible)
At Deuteronomy 12:20, the King James Bible reads: "When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after", so that the "soul longeth to eat flesh" or meat.
Hence, there is no "immortal soul", but rather the soul is us as a "breather", a living person, and dies when we quit breathing (see James 5:20, KJV), and can be destroyed, totally erased from among mankind, in which if a "soul" is placed in gehenna, they will never "see the light of day" again.(Note: the meaning of gehenna as everlasting destruction is also seen as the symbolic "lake of fire" at Rev 20:14, 15, as "everlasting destruction" at 2 Thess 1:9 as the King James Bible reads, as the "everlasting fire" at Matthew 25:41, as the King James Bible reads, where Satan and his demons are to be thrown into)
@@timhaley3459 Hello Tim,
1. I am aware that hell as "eternal torments for the wicked" is false doctrine. The wicked are eventually turned to ashes.
"And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts." Malachi 4:3.
@@martinlohne5128
I bring out Hebrew and Greek words to establish their accurate meanings, to assist sincere Bible readers what is "the truth", for practically no one in Christendom makes the effort to VERIFY if a Bible or a religious leader is accurate.(see Acts 17:10, 11)
Because the vast majority of people are "blind", and listen to their religious (and political and commercial) leaders who are also "blind", as in Christendom and the rest of the religions of the world called Babylon the Great (Rev 17:5), they "remain in darkness".(see Isa 60:2a)
Only those who are the "offspring" ("seed", KJV) of the symbolic "woman" at Genesis 3:15 and seen again in the Bible "book" of Isaiah, as well as at Galatians 4 and Revelation 12, has "the truth" (see Isa 60:1), while the rest of the world under Satan's influence is "lost".(see Rev 12:9)
To accurately understand Genesis 35:18, that reads according to the King James Bible: "And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin", it has to be grasped what the soul really is, of life as a breathing creature, be it now or in the future, so that Genesis 35:16-19 is accurately translated as:
"Then they pulled away from Bethʹel. So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephʹrath, that is, Bethʹle·hem."(2013 New World Translation)
At Matthew 10:28, Jesus stated: "And do not become fearful of those who kill the body (or who we are now as a breathing creature in our present body) but cannot kill the soul (who we are as a person, that can be recreated with a new body in the resurrection); rather, fear him who can destroy both soul and body (or both present and future life, so that this person ceases to exist forever, having no hope of a resurrection if they die) in Ge·henʹna (Greek geenna, meaning "everlasting destruction)."
And at John 8:51, Jesus told the Jews: "Most truly I say to you, if anyone observes my word, he will never see death at all", informing them that even if "anyone (who) observes my word" dies, these loyal ones remain alive in Jehovah's memory until the appointed time for their resurrection (be it the "earlier resurrection", Phil 3:11, for "the heavenly calling", Heb 3:1, or general resurrection for those who will live on the earth, John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15), just as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are "alive" in Jehovah's memory, for Jesus told the Sadducees, who did not believe in the resurrection:
"The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection (or resurrection to heaven as a "chosen one", Matt 24:22, 24, 31)."
"But that the dead are raised up, even Moses made known in the account about the thornbush, when he calls Jehovah ‘the God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob.’ He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him."(Luke 20:34-38, 2013 New World Translation)
Though long having been dead, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, along with "anyone (who) observes my word" of the "other sheep" (see John 10:16, whereby there are two folds, but one flock) who has died, will be resurrected during Jesus Millennial or 1,000 year reign.(Rev 20:4-6)
So, the "soul" means who we are as a breathing, living creature, with all our desires (Hebrew nephesh, meaning literally "a breather, breathing creature", and found 757 times in the Bible; Greek psyche and found 103 times in the Bible) that can be recreated with a new body in the resurrection.
Philippines is just The FarEast of The Garden ..it is just very near To The East(Eaden) or The Paradise of God..East is where The Sun & Moon rises..
Then how do you explain this scripture :-
2 Corinthians 5:8
King James Version
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Paul says,
For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Cor 5:8 ???
John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
I believe He means in the future resurrection. Read it slowly
@@angelamcentee1277 The Lord Jesus Christ mentions three tenses in this particular verse. Present, future, and past tense.

You can find this in that dictionary under “Lazarus.”
“The name of the beggar in the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus.”
Here’s some more; this time from Peloubet’s Bible Dictionary published in 1912 under “Lazarus.”
“The name of a poor man in the well-known parable of Luke 16:19-31.”
And no, we’re not done. This is from The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia published in 1915.
“In the parable in Lk 16 19-31, L. is pictured as in abject poverty in this world, but highly rewarded and honored in the next. It is the only instance of a proper name used in a parable by Jesus.”
It gets better. This is found under “Lazarus” in the Encyclopedia of Catholicism published in 1995.
“Lazarus is also the name of the poor beggar in a parable recounted in Luke 16:19-31.”

Another spirit?

Today you will be in Paradise. Jesus

Punctuation are not inspired. Move through comma to the right vote word and itvreads completely different

David's BODY DID NOT ASCEND. His spirit did.
Acts 2:34 says that David did not ascend to heaven
David's body, ie his soul, will resurrect in the 1st resurrection from the grave the spirit of David needs to be looked up in the Greek , which is the "enema",...many forget that wen Adam was formed from the dust of the earth,...Adam was a dead soul, (body), until God breathed the spirit - (the essence of life into Adams nostrils,...Adam became a living person),...@ our sleep in death,....as did Adam, & all that die in Christ, go back to being, a sleeping body, in the ground, the story of Lazerus is a pure truth, of wen Jesus came to awaken him from his sleep of death, to reveal truth for us, as in Adam all die, but our "spirit "- our "neuma,", goes back to God who gave it,...& whom will give our spirit back @ Jesus 2nd comming to the air, the sky the 1st heaven, so Jesus brings us immortality from the grave,...people, are soo, so very, very much (deceived about the state of the dead), there are no !!!, (ghostly transparent people already in heaven),... it's sad, that many Christians are not taught the truth in the churches of how Jesus said He will come,...the 1st resurrection of God's chosen, go to be with the Lord for 1,000yrs,...then satan is loosed from his circumstances, of having been bound from his evil, will end up tempting those in the 2nd resurrection, (who died in their sleep of death will awake to die their 2nd death, & be burnt up never to have eternal life again,...& by the way Jesus will not have people burning literally for ever wen the New Jerusalem city decends, from heaven with all His Saints that ascended into Heaven, just as Jesus said He wud come back as He ascended back to Heaven, as the disciples were told by Jesus, Himself, & the 2. Angels confirmed this @ The Galilee seaside,...God's truth explained properly, shows, just how many churches are taught very wrong to their congregations !, very, very sad 😢😮, this being,...soo very much is.
(BTW, that event marked the start of the 'time of trouble', which is much longer than 7 years.)
I want to further point out, the first resurrection is continuing, as Paul pointed out in 1 Corinthians 15:23, "But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming." And this will continue until the last, 7th, trumpet sounds.
These people resurrected to physical life, flesh and blood that cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 15:50)
The Bible teaches three resurrections, and the first resurrection happens at Christ's second coming..It is called the first because all who have fallen asleep in faith of Christ will be raised to life and it's the first of it's kind. (1st Cor 15:52; 1st Thessalonians 4:15-18; Rev 20:4,5; 1 Cor 15:22,23)
I hope this straighten up the point.

The patriarchs had to wait until Jesus had paid the price.
We see the totality of the firstfruits here:
Revelation 14:4, "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."
Please understand, this is only the firstfruits. It is not the completion of the harvest. Our hope is that many will be converted during the 1000 years of Jesus Christ.
I hope this helps.

@@pauljohn0001 Ancient Greek did not have punctuation. Punctuation is meant to clarify but sometimes it is used to promote a doctrine.
It's a problem with punctuation being placed in the translation incorrectly, it's supposed to be "Assuredly I say to you today, you will be with Me in paradise."
@@jared31174 Do you ever wonder how anyone can come to the Truth with so much miss information out there?
So . . .in your theology you already have eternal life? what use was Christ's sacrifice then?
They were, in chronological order:
"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5.
Anti christ SDA preacher speaking right there.Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life to the father or heaven.Jesus in John 3:13 was speaking before he rose and went up to heaven making it possible for humans to go to heaven if we believe in him
This is not an SDA preacher.
Very correct not an S.D.A. preacher @ all,...just another preacher with a little bit of truth but halfway, has satans interperation of in it all😮.
I agree. Sounds like SDA preaching soul sleep. They say they are not SDA but preaching the same principles and they meet on the Sabbath.
You are talking crap.
Very insightful and well thought out comment! Thanx!
Unfortunately, no one really knows as no one has ever come back and told us. All hyperthetical and wishful thinking...
