I use road shoe with power pedal on MTB as well - sometimes it's not ideal and not easy to unclip or walk when needed. that sand is just f*** deep! great job and great vid as always! edit: just thinking I think for sandy West MI I think 47 or 50mm tire should be used... for a standard one 35-40mm sound perfect
That's impressive because sometimes you have to unclip quickly on the MTB. I was thinking about trying to get a crank arm power meter so I could use MTB shoes in the future. 47s or 50's would be wayyy better lol.
@@thumbcyclist I agree. not just unclip issue, but I just had stupid fall last weekl because road shoes has ZERO grip on slippery rock (after i yield to another guy and I crash myself)! The knee pads did good job saving my knees. I am not sure they made crank arm power meter (on a lower end price) on my Stumpjumper. I have one-side crank power meter on my gravel bike (the one i bring for gravel race) . Should be much easier to find crank power meter on road/gravel bike.

Your videos are the best i've seen for a person wanting to get into racing. Well Done
Thank you so much!
These videos are awesome! I’m doing my first gravel race this month (Barry Roubaix 18 Mile) and then doing the Hart Hills 25 mile course as well.
Fantastic, I hope your first race goes well! Let's cross our fingers for good weather at the Barry Roubaix.
Thanks for the videos! I’m doing my first race early June. The Dirty Donut in Martin, MI
Sure thing! That will be a cool first race to do. Are you planning on stopping to have a donut or two to shave off some time?
No, I’m doing the sprint version. Trying to get it over with as fast as possible lol
@@DHartwell1991 Probably not a bad idea lol. Goodluck!
Thanks man, I’ll need it 😂
Man, you like to talk! :-) keep it up, I enjoyed it!
I really dig your videos (subbed). What are you using for the stat overlays? Virb?
Thanks! Yep, I use Virb.
Thanks for posting. What software do you use to overlay power, speed etc on video?
I use the Garmin VIRB program to get the data on screen.
Great video, I've just watched Rob Martins video of this, he was one of the fat bike riders from the #cancerbedamned group,
Thanks! I really enjoy Rob's videos as well. Super impressed by how strong his crew is.
