Love the video. I was in that race…. Way back though. Congrats. Would love to know your set up for the camera (I use a GoPro but its always falling over) and how did you get the stats on the screen?

Thanks! Sure thing, I found that Garmin and KOM make a mount that holds my Garmin & allows me to mount my GoPro on the bottom of it. For the stats, I load my video into the program "Garmin VIRB" along with the race file from my head unit. It's a little tricky sometimes, but it works.

For your cramps, have you tried pickle juice shots or LMNT salt mix?

I haven't, but that's a good idea. The LMNT mix looks pretty good!

@@thumbcyclist I re-watch this again. I think if you invest in proper race road bike/deep carbon wheels, you can gain a lot of free speed with same power. also lightweight rider has disadvantage over big guy/big watt in the course like this. also at every turns maintaining speed is the most important and expect 400+W for 5 seconds at every corners. Aero/draft is key, road / pavement riding is a lot faster than gravel race. each gap created cost significant effort to get back in, close any gap asap...
I am thinking about doing the race this year... will see.
I ran over squirrel once and near-miss another time. Poor squirrels.
