Even though the tone is sometimes somewhat sinister, i think i like your shorts best, at least when it comes to rewatchability. I showed them to my girlfriend and she too was mesmerized. Could you maybe do another video with sounds done in a way similar to your shorts? Kind regards from Germany!
I just received mine. Just a heads up for fellow field recorders (I am a concert archivist): The bluetooth range is extremely poor. My PCM A10 gets 2x range (60 ft vs 30 ft). This is unacceptable given bluetooth 5 and the $50 dedicated dongle. Secondly, the 3.5mm preamps are very noisy compared to the A10. Lower max volume. Worst of all, there is an audible click in the left channel if recording with high gain in the device. You can set the gain to +60 and set the INPUT to EXT to see it clear as day in the level monitor. Very unfortunate for my applications.
What is the latency in wireless Monitoring? Can one use it for live monitoring? I am Recording directly to my Deity Theos and use the Tascam for a backup device. Íd love to get Ride of the wires! 🎉 I am a mobile podcaster, so I Need to get as reliable, small and light as possible (in that Order :-) Thank you for your feedback!

I have a question: do 'headphones with Bluetooth' work without the Tascam AK-BT2 dongle? In fact, I would like to clarify whether this dongle could potentially enable Bluetooth headphones for the Portacapture X8 device in the future. Thank you if you can confirm this!
The X8 had a problem with a high-pitched buzz in the recordings, which is a problem when shifting the pitch down, as is sometimes done with sound design. Did you notice this problem with this recorder?
