@@MaqsVids that was fun! I did the same thing. Even purchased those star clips in order to put it all back the same way. I did upgrade my entire shifter to the 02J from a newer MK4 from the JY. Great videos though!! Thank you!

I was actually looking into doing that. Has it improved your shifting and made adjusting the shift cables easier? When I got my Golf it would occasionally grind going into first. It went away after adjustment. But it feels like it wants to start again(if that makes any sense).

@@MaqsVids The biggest difference for me was that with the bushing kit, all the slop went away. It is easy to adjust the shifter. My old one was super messed up. No matter what gear you were in, the stick always looked like it was in neutral haha it is quite the job since you have to get the down pipe out of the way. Oh and you might as well get a new gasket for that and the new bolts for the downpipe, judging by the rust on your car. I do get an occasional grind but that may be the synchros. Won't venture into that

Hi mate. Should a garage charge a lot in Labour for this job? I’d like to it myself but I don’t have ramps. I’ve broken the connector on the filter to engine line like you’ve fixed in the video…got half a tank in the car and don’t fancy taking a heat gun near the lines

I don't expect the parts to cost that much. I imagine most of the cost to be labor. An experienced technician with a lift and the proper tools could probably make short work of it. I would be very surprised is labor was over 1.5 - 2 hrs. ~$200 USD

@@curtnis @curtnis ahhhh. Just pull the entire plastic panel away from from the car. Leave the clip on the panel. To reinstall, push it back on. That is not what I did at first. But It should work way better. Good luck. Also, watch the new upload of the video for full sound.

You could also just pry the clip's teeth away from the stud, and then put some new ones on. Old rusted ones won't hold very well, I wouldn't reuse.

FACTS! They ended up falling off they were so rusted. I ended up putting new ones from VW in later.
