Listened to the show as I was painting (a first) so just one post (also a first!) - small world:
Bought the Gaahleri Mobius brush yesterday after looking at a number of reviews - including JUST PAINT IT !!
Loved the tangent discussion regarding metal and 70s / 80s record sleeves - I met the legendary Storm Thorgerson (Hipgnosis - did Pink Floyd, UFO and Scorpions amongst countless others) a few years before his death and asked him about the impact on sleeve art design when moving to CD. Surprisingly he didn't think it made a difference 😮

The gallery was stellar as usual. Great variety this time, and I am glad that it keeps getting bigger.
On the subject of WF. How would Scuzz know how busy it was? He wasn't there. From what I saw on Saturday, I wouldn't be surprised if it set attendance records. I have never seen everything so full all at the same time.Shortly after noon, the upstairs was pretty full, all the rooms. The contest room was packed. The dealers room was still full (not as packed as 10 AM when you could hardly even move through the room) the hallway was full, Dealer B was as full as I have ever seen it before. Yeah, by 4 it was thinning out, but early in the day, I have never seen it so full. Sunday was a bit of a ghost town in the dealers room, but from what I saw in my wanderings the demos and talks were pretty well attended, and the contest room was pretty full.
As far as dealers tables, I don't know what the answer there is. Though if they are going to fill in the pool and permanently enclose that area it might end up as more event space. Most of the people with multiple tables need them. Sure, Steve has 3 tables, but they are all full. As well as all the shelves he puts up behind them. And he has people going out to the trailer and bringing more stuff in to replace inventory throughout the show. He has 4 or 5 people with him all weekend helping sell because he has that many sales. Sure, he likes hanging out, but he is there to make money.
Jesse was there to make money.
People always end up backing out for one reason or another, and tables open up. That is how we end up with new vendors. All those 3D sellers this year got in somehow.

Gotta say the points about Wonderfest at the end are mostly nonsense - there are TONS of new releases every year, more new vendors, more new customers, more new everything.
And it's nobody's business, but I DO make money on WF weekend - in fact, I generally have 60% of my sales for the whole year over just one weekend.

Ye Gods! It seems like 95 just came out. Now I have to rearrange my social schedule so that I can catch up!
I have always struggled with eyes. I got some of the decals . I had them for a while and finally tried them. They are very simple to use. Check the out Jason.
