Norm was always adamant about how hard he worked on his material and it's only now with all the talk show appearances and bits of standup archived on RUclips that we can test the veracity of his claim. He wasn't lying and you can see him work on Albert Fish and some of his newer material for a very long time until he publicizes it, either on Conan or Letterman or on NML. He was a very funny person but much of his brilliance came from alot of hard work and persistence. Even at 61 with cancer destroying his body, he was still performing a ton of shows. He always put more hours into his work than most of his peers and it shows.
