It really is equipment relevant, it’s scales up so much with gear The gold touch lotoo for example, I heard it for one hour on that thing and bought it straight away
@@dante19890 I would not say the tuning, yet, control speed technical capability and the actual presentation of the base will vary wildly from a Bluetooth dongle to a lotoo So much so it actually becomes a over ear headphones in that situation If you have been using it on the go with something like this on a regular basis, you tend to forget a little what they are truly capable of
These and the VX are both up on eBay to get other review products in, if you’re interested search on eBay mate Or come to the audio lounge chat and if you’re interested you can take it off the channel from there It’s very unfortunate I can’t keep everything I love around LOL too much cash gets tied up in them.
Totally agree with your impression and really love your channel. Hi, I'm also using the third party cable the same you. Now i want to roll back with the stock sony cable but it's very hard to remove. Did you have this problem ? Please give me some advice if you used to have the same issue. Thanks in advance.
First and foremost, thank you for the kind words, welcome to the fam. Yes MMCX connectors are hell Make sure you do not pull on the connector at an angle,, hold the driver in one hand and the end of the connection point between your thumb and index finger, not the cable, gently pull straight up in a right angle, do not force, and do not pull to the sides,. If you find it does not come away with a click, gently rotate a little bit and try again sometimes they actually is a locking spot But please, don’t do this too often MMCX connectors have been known to destroy drivers and connection points

It has a 12mm full range dynamic driver actually, so not only for bass. The BA driver and 5mm super tweeter DD assist the 12mm DD with the mid-high frequency range.
I have ZERO issues with the fit and weight. Can wear mine for hours. I cam from Campfire Audio Polaris 2020's and the Z1Rs were FAR superior and enjoyable to listen to. It was immediately noticeable.

Concerning the cable to my Z1R, i replaced the original ones, for the Mezze Audio Silver plated ( RAI ) cables, with 4.4mm Pentacon connector. Do you think it's enough for them, or something else would be providing better results?
@@joaodiniz3320 lotoo paw Goldtouch you might be able to grab one used It was my first experience with these IEM, and I have not forgotten it, it was absolutely fricking sublime Gigantic soundstage, beautiful tonality, wonderful separation, punch and impact

I already have two others from Sony, XBA-N1AP and XBA-N3AP, both already with MEZZE Audio Balanced cables. They do perform amazing and also have insane bass presentation. Concerning the DAP you have suggested, it out of my reach for now, once it retails here in Portugal for €3099. The other more affordable approach to the Lotoo acoustic DAP's, would be the Paw 6000, although it lacks the power output of it's bigger brother. Price in this case would be €1300, which makes it on the target line for my budget. Can't say if you believe i'd be getting the most of the Gold Touch with the Paw 6000. Have no way to test any of them, once in our market, we must order these as specific items. No store does any stock and demos. So, it's like a blind shot, that i must aim in perfection. I had the chance of a deal with Sony's flagship NW-WM1Z DAP for €1400, but with the Sony DAP, although the restrictions, there's even more lack of power output for these Z1R. The other option would be the Ibasso DX240 + AMP8 MK2. You tell me frok your experience, once i almost have none on this sector. My background are the home high-end systems, with large Focal Electra 926 floorstand speakers, and NAD Master series as source am amp. Let me know. By the way, congratulations for your reviews. I just love them.
@@joaodiniz3320 Welcome to the fam How about the Mojo 2, could this be a placeholder for you it’s absolutely superb, you will still be able to use your phone as the digital source Check out the review on the channel, the PAw 6000 I have owned and find extremely incredible for the price point Shamling m8 is another great one to look for My goodness the gold touch is very expensive there but I have it here on the desk right now going through the review period it’s so good But maybe the other two I mentioned might be more suited, I was so impressed by the PAW 6000 I will bring it up in the goal touch review extensively
Thanks for your review. I just got the ier-z1r but I saddened by the dull sounding vocals, even eqed/boosted. Could a dac improve the vocals ? What dac would you recommend stationary listening on pc in the 200 - 1200 range? I'm assuming avoiding battery/hard drive brings the price down.
I recommend purchasing a chord Mojo 2 It is superb for both aspects, or a PAW 6000. These are the portable cases. That is quite a swing price wise You’re going to find it very difficult to beat in a Mojo2 under 1000 it’s really exceptional performance wise For the DAC aspect and DSP, correction I mean this genuinely, I will take it over any DAC this price point, but if you’re looking on the used market for a desktop solution look for a holoaudio spring two
good iems, my only problem with them is the foam filter inside the nozzle, I heard it can deteriorate with time due to humidity etc. and without those filter the iems can sound very bad, lets say too spicy for some. aka piercing treble
That’s intriguing, this is the first time I’ve come across a comment like this. Maybe it’s an environment issue, in the UK I think most people will be fine
The Andromeda is a good IEM, but it’s nowhere near One of the best on the market, been able to buy one used for $600 is a good deal, but I think some of the other mid thigh ones I have reviewed will outperform it this i.e. M is considerably better than Andromeda in all aspects

Sony us great brand that could be the best if they marketing better. And their point of sales would be open . In same countries is hard to get this. And then they do much models. And when they do in same of the upgrades the price is crazy. Are they good. Yes. I wish they could do more wired instead of wireless.
In the first minute of the video: - They are not a dynamic IEMs, they are hybrids (2DD + 1BA). - They are not made of solid steel, they are made of solid zirconium. This is easily available information. If you don't do your research to get basic specs correct, it's going to put off some people (e.g. me). Had to stop watching after the _"these deserve custom cables"._ The Sony cable is one of the best cables I've ever handled (minus the ear hook which I found annoying and had to remove). Perhaps you explain what was so bad about it that it needed to be changed later in the video, but I didn't stick around, sorry. Hope you can take something useful out of this comment. Best of luck in the future!

Why are you using the litz cable instead of the Sony one?.Isn’t the Sony one better?.
The Sony cable is okay it’s not bad, but no, these litz custom cables perform much higher
They have a far better core and are much better quality
Because his buddy makes cables. The Sony cable is about as good as it gets, unless you have specific comfort issues with it.
