I have been doing yoga since March and if you stick to beginner Yoga, chair yoga, or the relax and restore classes they are quite helpful with my FND symptoms
Thats great I do some simple tai chi and simple yoga exercises at home , which is sitting & standing if I would stick to it I think it might help some. I know what you mean as soon as I stop back to Odd feelings as I have all Dat everyday. Good luck with your results. Thanks for posting about the yoga
Never tried regular yoga. I hurt myself when I tried yoga and Pilates together. Physical therapy helps. Been out for awhile. My foot doctor doesn't want me until I get my MRI. Then the results. My f.n.d. is acting up more. Mine is due to childhood trauma. Do you know why you by any chance if you don't mind me asking Chris?
Hi, thanks for your comment. I'm actually still going through other tests to make sure it's just FND and nothing else as well. But u think I probably had it triggered by emotional trauma when my son was born with Cystic Fibrosis and a stressful break up 13 years ago. I hope you get some relief and recover OK?
Yes will update you .Found this week a challenge as massive flare up due to heat .Haven't been able to handle heat well and have horrid overheating fainting spells and status migrainous which can be hard to but have a good neurologist x
My neuro physio told me to sway like a grandfather clock pendulum and to breathe for a minute concentrating on the out breath. Not sure how this is going to help but I think they want to focus on the nervous system. I used to proactive yoga 3 times a week. Till I got this back in 2021. Post Covid. My symptoms used to be left sided but now it’s across the board. My prob now is stiffness and fatigue with brain fog and tremors visual blur and spasticity noe
Sorry to hear this. Yeah, Psychologist has given me a few strategies to try as well. Breathing, stretching, recognising tension, 'leaf on a river' technique for thoughts and exercise. I'm doing all four as much as possible. Life is just not the same any more. But I'm trying. All we can do isn't it 😊
