A Rich History.
Records show that a Mr. William Taylor was working the business as a fried fish supplier back in 1907.
After making it through two world wars, the chip shop was named Yorkshire Fisheries
and has kept the name to this day.
In 1989, the shop was bought by George and Val Vasiliou, and they upheld its reputation as the best chippy in town. When they decided to retire in 2005, George’s niece and husband took over the reins, wanting very much to keep the quality and standard just the same. To this day, the current owners strive to serve the best fish and chips in the area, and have won many awards including the Quality Award from the NFFF, Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor, and the Gold Taste of Lancashire Award.
Yorkshire Fisheries is beloved by both local residents and tourists. Indeed, many customers have been coming to the shop since they were children and, now grown, are bringing their children and grandchildren with them.
A lot has changed since the early days, when potatoes were delivered by horse and cart, and diners sat on long wooden benches. Online ordering and delivery is available for customers who can’t make it to the shop, and a comfortable, newly refurbished restaurant greets those who can.
Proud of the food and service, Yorkshire Fisheries looks forward to welcoming one and all and to serving the best fish and chips in Blackpool.
The quality of these fish and chips is probably the best we've ever had. Perfect.
I have to agree it an award winning chippy and my view is the best I’ve tasted in Blackpool..

The food looks absolutely ‘beautiful’! There’s nothing cringy about the phrase white gold. However, what was incredibly cringy was random’s crude comments! Totally unnecessary and it’s inappropriate to be talking like that to the waitress. I felt really sorry for her having to put up with that behaviour.
It’s just the way he is sis. He’s a good friend to me.

Well done Stocky, and I agree with the score you gave (half a point off for the door?). I was in there myself for the first time yesterday and it was excellent, as were the the staff. Have to say Random let the side down by not clearing his plate, but I'll put it down to an off day lol! 😄
To be fair David they did warn us about the door, but it wants fixing I agree. Random never finishes all his food as you’ll see in my next video B&B By the seaside. 😁😁

Thanks Dave I normally do the town where I’m from, but Steve surprised me by taking me to Blackpool for my 60th and leaving the Mrs at home. So I thought what better place to do one of my reviews.👌👍

I lament the passing of chips cooked in proper fat, not this oil stuff they use now. That's why they're white. It's the same everywhere. I stopped buying the buggers. Still get fish, like, with onion rings or whatever they've got. I just ai'nt the same.
Hi Bob, I do have to agree with you on the oil when we were kids. They use lard and the chips tasted so much better and a proper colour to em. Hi Martin, yeah I’ve just been chatting to another fella about the colour of the chips. It’s the oil they use nowadays, it doesn’t seem to brown the chips like the lard used to. Still it’s out of amazing The Fish was exceptional. I’ll definitely be returning to this place when I’m next in Blackpool. Stocky

Nice place...but what waitress just takes a seat & sits down taking an order. Very unprofessional of her, she just showing off way to much because she was being filmed. But again very unprofessional.
